How to unlock:
Use the teleport waypoint of Tatarasuna, and fly towards the northwest of the map. Talk to Masanori (Nameless) to initiate the quest.
Brief:
For this quest we need to help Masanori recover his memories.
Steps:
1. Find the Samurai’s Blade
After a conversation, we learn that he seemed to have lost all his memories, even his name. But when we kindly offer to help him get his memories back, he attempts to attack us, because he recalled the pleasure of wielding his blade to kill someone.
Once you are ready, talk to him again to start the battle. Our goal is to defeat the nameless samurai in 60 seconds.
After defeating Nameless, we are finally able to communicate with him. After some reminiscing, he finally remembers some things. According to the quest guide, we go to the location Nameless mentions.
We follow the stairs behind the hut to the hill, and indeed find a discarded blade stuck on the ground, with a family letter next to it.
We bring the blade back to the nameless samurai, Nameless remembers something again. He was invincible before being defeated by us. Not to be outdone, he demands a rematch.
And then we enter a duel to defeat him in 60 seconds. It’s slightly more difficult than the first time.
2. Help the samurai regain more memories
The nameless samurai calms down after the second defeat and remembers something again. This time he remembers the place where he used to drink with his friends. Let’s help him find the kind of wine he used to drink and hope that he can recall more things after drinking it.
According to the quest navigation, we teleport to Kujou Encampment to look for the wine.
Upon arrival, the quest will automatically become to ask the soldiers about the wine. We can head straight to Matsudaira, a Shogunate Samurai and speak with him. After the conversation, we can get the wine for the quest.
Return to the samurai and give him the wine.
And then goes the duel, defeat Masanori in 60 seconds. The difficulty slightly increases again this time.
After three attempts and three defeats, Masanori finally remembers that he fled from the tidal flats in the northwest, where was a battlefield.
3.Find the blade “Masanori” mentions
With this information, we can finally help him find his sword. Following the navigation, we arrive at Nazuchi Beach. From afar, we can see a group of samurai gathered here, emanating an inexplicable dark aura. But we don't have to fight them; instead, we can simply take the sword next to the treasure chest.
We bring the sword back to Masanori, but he goes berserk after seeing it. This time the goal is to defeat “Masanori” in 120 seconds, with a further rise in difficulty. We have to defeat him twice because “Masanori” will heal to full health after the first defeat.
Once we defeat Masanori, talk to him again to complete the quest.
Summary:
In general, this quest is quite simple. It doesn’t involve any complicated puzzle. There are indeed many combats, but they are not very difficult overall.
