Herrscher of Finality

In this guide, I'll go over Herrscher of Origin's (aka Origin), performance in the Elysian Realm, her signets and a recommended build. This guide will look specifically at the Elysian Realm, and so may not apply to other game modes.

Gear:

Her signature weapon, Key of Limpidity or the PRI, Domain of Unity, are essentially must-haves, for the Elysian Realm and in general. It allows much faster filling of the bar at the bottom, and easier use of her special combo attack, Malice Expunged.

Generally, her signature stigmata, Raiden Mei set, are less important, as they mostly just help with damage, but the M piece also gives CD reduction on the weapon skill. Aside from that, other lightning stigmata can be used as well, like Handel or Zeno.

Basic Summary

Herrscher of Origin is an IMG type, lightning damage dealer. Her playstyle is quite involved, with a mixture of weapon skills, evades, and proper timing required, but it is fun and rewarding to play. In the realm, she also has a charge that recovers every 6s, allowing her to easily fill the bar at the bottom, which you'll need to keep track of early game.

Moves:

Mind Body Insight -- This is the sword shaped bar at the bottom of the screen, above HP. When it's full, using the 2nd seq combo attack uses it up and grants a stack of Twisted Origin

Twisted Origin -- Gained from combo attacks with max Mind Body Insight, signature weapon skills, and Regressive Origin: Moment. Stacks can be seen from how many of the swords behind Origin are glowing, or by the look of the Mind Body Insight bar. At 0 stacks, it is white, 1 is blue, 2 is red, and 3 is purple and looks larger.

Malice Expunged -- A special combo attack, used by holding ATK with 3 stacks of Twisted Origin. Can be buffs with Elysia signets

Regressive Origin: Moment -- Can be used after an ultimate evasion by tapping attack. Gives one stack of Twisted Origin, but does not use up Mind Body Insight.

Sheathing -- After using a single sequence of the basic attack, not attacking will cause Origin to sheathe the sword. This shows a flash, and if you tap attack during this, it connects into the combo attack.

Special Adjustments

Every character has certain special adjustments in Elysian Realm to make it both easier for newer players to use them and to allow them to fight solo in the realm.

Origin's Special Adjustments are:

- Valkyrie stats and skill level are adjusted to Lv. 80 equivalent

This is the same for all Elysian Realm valkyries, to put them on a level playing field.

- Valkyrie deals 20% bonus Total DMG

- Kills restore 100 HP

Miscellaneous bonuses to boost general performance.

- Valkyrie restores 1 extra charge every 6 seconds. Sheathing or evading consumes charges to boost Mind Body Insight, and sheathing during Basic ATK improves ignore interrupt and grants 50% Total DMG Reduction

This charge is shown above the HP bar, it's a small purple ball of lightning (though I think it kind of looks like a virus?). When it's present, when you evade or sheathe after basic attacks (when it flashes), Mind Body Insight (the sword shaped bar) is automatically maxed out, and can be connected into a combo attack. This helps with ease of use.

- Regressive Origin: Moment's CD reduced to 1s

This is the thing that allows you to connect an ultimate evasion into a combo attack. The CD is separate from the ultimate evasion itself, and is mostly for if you have multiple evasion charges through Sakura's signets.

Exclusive Signets

Origin's exclusive signets are focused mainly on her combo attacks and ultimate.

Blessing of Expungement

Blessing of Inscription

Blessing of Lethal Smite

Blessing of Nature

Blessing of Ultra

Recommended Signets

(These recommendations are just what I personally found fun, feel free to experiment and put your own recommendations in the comments below!)

- Exclusive Signets -

Most important:

Blessing of Expungement

This gives high damage, CD reduction and a total damage buff, all in one. Since you'll be using Malice Expunged a lot, the buff also has roughly 100% uptime.

This signet is roughly equal to [Lethal Smite], but this one has slightly higher damage and a CD reduction, so it's recommended first. If you prefer the gather from [Lethal Smite], the one is also good to take first.

Second choice:

Blessing of Lethal Smite >> Blessing of Nature

[Lethal Smite] is the other key signet of this run, and further buffs Malice Expunged. It also gathers enemies, which is very helpful early game, so some people may want to take this one first. You should try to get the second Elysia signet as soon as possible, but it's possible to make it to floor 7 for the guarantee with only 1 of them.

If you get the double signet from floor 7, go for [Nature] for a further boost to combo attacks and more CD reduction. It's very good to have, especially the CD reduction, but you could still go without it if you have Raiden Mei M and Vill-V's signet for weapon skill CDs.

Last choice:

Blessing of Inscription > Blessing of Ultra

[Inscription] and [Ultra] are both more Ult focused, and while they do still provide good buffs, other Flame-chasers are probably better.

If you get [Inscription], the CD reduction and extra SP regen allows you to use the Ult more frequently, but you need to make sure it's still available when Sakura Screen is activated.

[Ultra] is the most useless, it's mainly extra damage. The slashes from the Ult don't do much damage by themselves and would only serve to increase combo hits, if you were using Kevin's 2nd core. Having [Ultra] lets you activate the core in 2 Ults instead of 3.

- Flame Chaser Signets -

Sakura (1st Core)

Sakura's extra evasion charge is the first one you should go for, and upgrade. After that, switch to Vill-V's signets as they give better damage bonuses and better core buffs. After getting Vill-V's core, you can get Sakura's.

Sakura's core skill is timed in a way that it activates just before the special combo attack, allowing you to get the best out of it. It's also just long enough to squeeze in an Ult right after.

Aside from the evasion charges, anything that gives damage is good. The enhanced signets aren't really necessary.

Vill-V (2nd Core)

Vill-V's CD reduction signet is pretty good, but you can manage without it for a while. Her other damage buffing signets are also good, aim for I and II especially.

Her enhanced signets are also really good, so you can go for them if you have the chance.

Other

Griseo (2nd Core > 1st Core)

Origin uses a lot of ultimate evasions and weapon skills, as well as the occasional ultimate, so Griseo is very good. The three paints are also used together, which stacks the paint right before the Absolute Time Fracture for the most buffs.

2nd core is better if you can get all enhanced signets, but 1st is better if you can't. Since weapons and evasions are most frequent, red, blue and purple are the most important colours.

Kevin (Either Core)

Though this isn't specifically an Ult build, the Absolute Time Fracture during the Ult means that Kevin's signets will apply for the entire Ult, and will only start ticking down after it ends. This can be timed together with Sakura's core for even more damage. The enhanced signets don't do much, so ignore them.

The Ult has enough hits to it that about 3 uses will activate the 2nd Core. This would take longer to get going, but it technically gives the same buffs as no core, and can be upgraded to be equal to the 1st core via an enhanced signet. This would then give permanent Kevin buffs. If you have [Blessing of Ultra], it only takes 2 Ults to activate it, but it's not worth going for [Ultra] just for this.

- Playstyle -

Start with an evade into a combo attack, which will trigger the special weapon skill and the ultimate evasion. This then gives enough for the Malice Expunged combo attack. After that, start the cycle with basic attack instead. They take longer, but will give time for the charge to come back, allowing combo attacks after the evade, even if the skill is still on CD.

Variations of this cycle can be used early game, before you have extra charges and CD reductions, with a mix of basic attacks, weapon skills, evades, ultimate evasions, and sheathe timings. Something to note is that the ultimate evasion does not fill the bar, but does give a Twisted Origin stack. This means an ultimate evade with a special charge can let you get 2 stacks, if you use a combo attack.

If you have Sakura's 1st core, stack buffs and use the combo and Ult right after Sakura screen activates to get the most out of it.

- Support Valkyries -

Both Azure Empyrea and Fallen Rosemary work for support and some gather.

Blood Rose is also an option, but be aware that Origin also deals damage to herself with some attacks.

BKE or VK can be helpful against Heimdall, but outside of that, others are better.

- Remembrance Sigils -

General: Start with Vill-V's [Pseudo Miracle], but take the first Sakura portal you can. Switch according to the Flame-Chaser you're looking for, and finish with either Sakura's [Stained Sakura] or Vill-V's [Faraway Ship]

Support: Start with Elysia's [Because of You], then use Vill-V's [Falling in Past Light] or Sakura's [Tsukimi Himiko]

Origin's gameplay is very complicated but fun, I prefer her to Finality even though I'll probably use Finality just to make my life easier. Speaking of Finality, guide coming soon!
