What You Should Do If Your Account Got Hacked | Part 1 of 2 | All About Email

Hello everyone! Today I want to share a little bit of information about what you should do if your Genshin Impact account got hacked.

This is the way I do it based on my own personal experience. Long story short, during celebration of the second anniversary of Genshin Impact, my Genshin Impact account was hacked. That same day, I immediately reported to Genshin Impact Customer Servive and was asked to fill in several points for further processing. Here are the steps :

1) Contact Customer Service

Here is the email format that I used when contacting Genshin Impact CS :

2) Received a "Seven Questions" Reply

Make sure to answer the questions correctly.

• Question 1 to 5 are linked together so please provide accurate answers
• For Question 6, you can use one of the answers below :

1. I can't log in to the account using my username
2. I can't log in to the account using my Email
3. I can't log in to the account using my third-party account

• For question 7, if you have already filled Recovery Form and have pending response, wait for the response for older form. Otherwise fill No.

3) Received Confirmation Email

If you received the reply shown above, you can use the answer below to answer back :

• Yes, I recognise the email, but I no longer have access to it.
• No, I do not recognise this email

4) Received a Recovery Form Reply

• If you received the reply shown above, make sure to check your mailbox, you'll receive a recovery form there.
• Do note that each link is uniqe and should never be shared (one submission only).

6) Received Another Reply

After you submitted the recovery form, you'll receive this email. All you have to do right now is wait, for my case it took me about 2 weeks to get my account back.

7) The Result

After suffering without Genshin Impact for about 2 weeks, they finally give my account back. Email above is the new email adress that you filled on recovery form.

I hope the information I provide is useful--not only to the player whose account is hacked, but to other players out there facing similar situations.
