★ Introduction ★

In this guide, we will compare the new Valkyrie Quicksand, with the other valks in the role of Bleeding, Quantum, and Physical like her. After a little presentation, we will talk about the positives and negatives of each of them, their usefulness in Abyss and Memorial Arena, and the costs to obtain and gear them.

[Valkyrie Quicksand]

[Valkyrie Quicksand] is a new physical QUA-type, A-Rank, SP battlesuit.

Her role is special since she will be the very first main bleed DPS.

She is a chakram user and all of her ATK's count as bleed DMG, which is neither ranged nor melee DMG and makes her unable to land critical hits.

★ Bleeding ★

Valkyrie Quicksand

✔️Exlusive Abyss Boss Designed for her: Pishacha, Weather Bleeding.

✔️Can compete in nirvana against almost all bosses on: Bleeding, Quantum, Physical Weather.

✔️In MA like Tonatiuh SSS is very easy, she doesn't have any time stop but gets Time Fracture from her ultimate performance.

✔️SSS MA Boss Designed for her: Pishacha.

✔️Can compete against Nyx on quantum, and BKE on physicals, without any trouble.

✔️Easy access to free-to-play stigmata solutions even if not the best, but good enough.

✔️First main bleed DPS.

✔️Don't need to pain to get a Crit hit (she can't crit).

✔️ Easy to farm with asterite.

❌Need to stay with Griseo (Starry Impression) to give her best.

❌No free-to-play alternative weapons. (Only good alternative to consider is Felis's weapon).

❌You have to get perfect judgments to do high dmg, but isn't hard.

VQ Cost:

S0 + Rank up -> You can farm the fragments (need 40 to unlock) in various ways:

◆ Asterite Shop (50 fragments, per week);

◆ Open world Task (random);

◆ Events.

◆ Event Supply.

Gear -> Gacha only, during v6.5, worst case 120 pulls (30 pulls per piece).

For reruns 200 pulls (50 pulls per piece).

If you aim to complete VQ, the absolute priority is for her support team HoS and SI.

This rule is valid for every DPS.

Starry Impression

✔️Top Second Physical support for now.

✔️Give Bleeding to all Teams.

✔️Easy to use.

✔️ Can work with all Physical DPS.

✔️ Her signature set (Cezanne B) is useful in many situations and with other teams.

✔️ Her leader skill provides 55 initial sp. Very useful for Memorial Arena.

✔️ Easy to farm with asterite.

SI Cost:

S0 + Rank up -> You can obtain her with the first Top-up Bonus Event;

You can farm the fragments (need 40 to unlock) in various ways:

◆ Asterite Shop (50 fragments, per week);

◆ Open world Task (random);

◆ Events.

◆ Event Supply.

Gear -> Her signature stigmata set is Cezanne, which is a highly used, best set to support a bleeding team.

Also, Cezanne B is high used for other valks, is highly recommended to invest in this set.

Sadly her set only gacha for now, at least try to get Top and Bot.

Gacha, worst case 200 pulls (50 pulls per piece).

★ Which one should I invest in? ★

So the bleeding is supported by practically only these two characters.

Priority always remains to get Griseo, who can give bleeding to any type of team, even elemental.

Many bosses are still feasible in red lotus even without VQ (the only problem probably is Pishacha, but you need both anyways).

VQ is very strong as valk and I highly recommend getting her and her set, but there are other priorities before thinking about her.

You can try to play VQ totally free to play if you lack any kind of her set.

★ Quantum ★

Stygian Nymph

✔️At SS+ rank and full team and gear, she can still be used to RedLotus Abyss on quantum bosses.

✔️ Obtain her and rank up and give a permanent Dorm Buff: 3% (S) / 4%(SS) Physical DMG buff for all valks.

✔️Stigmata farmable.

✔️can break 1 quantum layer very fast, since her ultimate don't need SP for activation (CD 25 s.)

✔️At SS, can do two evasions, which can be good to make a good score on certain MA Bosses thanks to her Time Fracture.

❌Very old, outdated Quantum DPS.

❌She's not even farmable.

SN Cost:

S0 + Rank up -> With a bit of luck on the Dorm Supply;

◆ Can appear in some events or in some boxes from Special Outfit (Pyramid).

◆ One of her banners has not appeared for a long time.

Gear -> Her signature stigmata set is farmable as G3 (Allan Poe) but probably G4 set (Elysia T B) can work better.

◆ Her weapon Path to Acheron is available in Exchange Shop.

Helical Contraption

✔️Top Quantum specialist in Nirvana.

✔️Her buffs are targeted on Quantum type.

✔️Her Burst Mode has a low sp activation cost, so she can ult quickly to collapse QUA enemy.

✔️Vill-V is the top scorer for Quantum bosses Kosma, Abyss Tonatiuh EX, and Quantum Whale.

❌At SO, her damage isn't so high.

❌If you want a Fire DPS, Herrscher of Flamecion or Herrscher of Finality are much more better.

❌There are much cheaper alternatives for Quantum like HoT, FR and now VQ.

❌Gear is obtainable only through Gacha.

❌Some might turn their noses up at her style of gameplay, which is not very appreciated

HC Cost:

S0 -> Gacha only, worst case 100 pulls (28000 crystals) to unlock her.

Rank up -> Gacha only, fragments can be gathered by pulling and collecting Essentine (210 equals 1 fragment, gain 50 per pull).

This means every 105 pulls 25 fragments can be obtained through Essentine, which equals one rank up in between S and SS

This means in the worst case to get S2, 200 pulls will be needed (100 for unlocking, after 5 more to get S1, 95 more for the second copy to get S2).

Gear -> Gacha only, worst case 200 pulls (50 pulls per piece).

Starchasm Nyx

✔️Nyx can handle both Quantum and Ice weather.

✔️Enemy link hit mechanic. During her Burst Mode, a portion of the damage dealt to enemies is shared between them.

✔️Killing link enemies disconnects their link.

❌Nyx is an outdated Ice DPS.

❌Relies on her Burst Mode to deal damage.

❌She has no top score.

❌If you want an Ice valk, get Herrscher of Truth or some other DPS.

❌If you want a Qua valk, get Vill-V / VQ or just use some other valks.

❌Set Gacha, but can appear on BP. Very dependent on her set.

Nyx Cost:

S0 + Rank up -> Gacha;

◆ Events.

Gear -> Can appear on BP (actually present Patch 6.5).

◆ Gacha, worst case 200 pulls (50 pulls per piece).

Fallen Rosemary

✔️Fallen Rosemary is Lightning and Quantum support.

✔️New players get FR for free and her weapon Iris of the Dreams from the beginner event.

✔️FR can handle Quantum content.

✔️Alongside HoT, can do good scores in exalted Memorial on Quantum Bosses.

✔️Completly free to play.

❌She needs PRI-ARM and SS2+ to be a decent DPS.

❌Take too much time farm to rank her.

❌For regular Lightning support, we have better choices: Herrscher of Truth, Eden, Fischl, Pardofelis.

FR Cost:

S0 -> Complete the beginner event missions of the Training Plan to obtain Starter Coupons, which can be used to exchange for Fallen Rosemary.

Rank up -> War Treasury, Ancient Willpower and Ancient Legacy x 8 with the limit of 8 fragments purchases per week.

◆ Events.

Gear -> Her signature stigmata set is farmable as G3 (Irene Adler, T B priority). This stigma can be used also on other valks.

◆ Her weapon Iris of the Dreams can be obtainable from the S-rank Battlesuit Weapon Option, from a beginner event, where this weapon is the best choice among the three.

Other than that, no other option for now, outside the gacha.

★ Cost List ★

★ Which one should I invest in? ★

There are various options for completing the quantum bosses.

If we had to choose the cheapest we have FR which is immediately free for those who start the game and VQ which you simply have to farm but for the latter, the problem lies in the expense of crystals for her gear.

Vill is very strong and useful for quantum bosses but currently, if you have not taken her before, it is better to avoid her. She costs too much and has few bosses where it can make a difference compared to other options.

Unfortunately, SN is not farmable, otherwise, she could have also been a good option for beginners.

Honorable mention for the Eye of the Collapse cannon, equipable on Bronya (HB for example) you can directly remove a quantum layer simply with the active skill. Unfortunately for those who don't have it, the only way to get it is with gacha.

In the end, if you plan to invest on a Quantum Valk, VQ is the best option.

If you want to save crystals and don't spend anything for a Quantum Valk, you can cope with FR who is completely free to play.

Valkyrie Quicksand and Fallen Rosemary both won the fight.

★ Physical ★

Bright Knight: Excelsis

✔️ With high rank BKE can get good scores from her bosses (Jizo, Bleed HoS, Counter Huodou).

✔️ Farmable Stigmata set.

❌Old valk not farmable.

❌Need ranks to be good.

❌Gear dependents.

❌Her bosses are outdated by VQ and the upcoming Valkyrie.

❌Other options for Physical valk are better than her and also cheaper, like VQ or a 3 support team (HoS, Griseo, Carole).

❌Separate Divine Key supply.

BKE Cost:

S0 + Rank up -> With a bit of luck on the Dorm Supply;

◆ Can appear in some events.

◆ One of her banners has not appeared for a long time.

Gear -> Her signature stigmata set is farmable as G3 (Dante T M) and G4 set (Elysia B).

◆ Her weapon Abyss Flower is only Gacha.

Palatinus Equinox

✔️Physical DPS specializing against IMG enemies, with her Ult transferring 150% DMG from Nihilus Shell to its Nihilus Seed.

✔️ PE is one of the best valks for Physical content, top score on HoD Minion, False God Otto and Otto (Physical weather).

❌The Herrscher Trio team is powerful enough to cover any IMG bosses, and they can cover also almost all elements types.

❌There are other farmable options like Miss Pink Elf and Valkyrie Quicksand.

PE Cost:

S0 -> Gacha only, worst case 100 pulls (28000 crystals) to unlock her.

(Present in the Starter Banner, but it does not change anything compared to the normal banner, better to invest in the normal banner and wait for a rerun, so as not to lose pity, and gain what you want).

Rank up -> Gacha only, fragments can be gathered by pulling and collecting Essentine (210 equals 1 fragment, gain 50 per pull).

This means every 105 pulls 25 fragments can be obtained through Essentine, which equals one rank up in between S and SS

This means in the worst case to get S2, 200 pulls will be needed (100 for unlocking, after 5 more to get S1, 95 more for the second copy to get S2).

Miss Pink Elf

✔️ She is also a ranged DPS.

✔️ She is farmable from War Treasury.

✔️ Her signature stigmata set is farmable.

✔️ You can get some fragments also from the Elysian shop (60 fragments).

✔️ At SS+ generally good also in Nirvana, with top score boss Shadow Knight.

✔️ Optimal for bosses like Ranged ****, SSS ****, Abyss Otto, and more.

❌Her bow is only gacha.

❌Need high rank which takes time.

❌Farm an entire G4 set, takes a lot of time.

MPE Cost:

S0 + Rank up -> War Treasury, Ancient Willpower and Ancient Legacy x 8 with the limit of 8 fragments purchases per week.

◆ Elysian Shop (6 stamps, one time).

◆ Events.

Gear -> Her signature gear is the stigma Physical set G4 (Elysia), which you can upgrade the stigma step by step until reaching the final G4.

As weapon, you can obtain it only with gacha way for now.

★ Cost List ★

★ Which one should I invest in? ★

For the physical team there are a couple of choices, however, it is good to remember that in every choice you make for this type of team, HoS has first priority! The main thing is to have the valk, then you can build it in different ways.

You can have a full physical team without HoS, but in that case, an elemental team also full would be better despite the various stage maluses (except Kallen).

If you are just starting out and are a free-to-play player it might be difficult to get HoS (Herrscher of Sentience) right away, an obviously much less effective alternative, however better than nothing is DP ( Divine Prayer).

Back to our DPS...

With the physical team, I recommend opting for VQ or MPE, at the end for both you should aim for gacha, so at this point if you are going to build this team, go for VQ which can compete on many more fields.

If instead you already have full MPE you can also opt to avoid taking VQ if you have other plans in mind.

Why don't I recommend PE? Because every one of her bosses (except Otto physical Abyss) can be completed by the Trio.

BKE is completely gone, to give you a comparison VQ S0 can beat BKE SSS on HoS bleeding abyss. She is too expensive, and underperforming compared to today's valks, bad choice to invest in her.

Valkyrie Quicksand and Miss Pink Elf both won the fight.

★ Conclusion ★

Beginner

VQ is a very strong Valkyrie but she is also heavily reliant on the supports Griseo and HoS.

The latter isn't easy to get anymore because her gacha appears rarely.

And there will be new physical DPS & supports released in the near future.

I would recommend starting building elemental teams instead, since those are easier to come by.

The Herrscher Trio, consisting of HoFi, HoO and HoTr, is the most profitable team as of now.

The first Valk to get would be HoTr and her gear, since she is a support for Fire & Lightning teams while also functioning as an Ice DPS.

For Ice supports there are the 2 SP Valks HB and Felis, which are farmable and have decent F2P options for stigmata in the Foundry.

Later this team can be upgraded by unlocking Sushang, which is farmable with Ancient Legacy.

But she cannot use F2P gear at all and needs her signature from the gacha.

HoT can be obtained from the Beginners Event (if you opt to spend some real life money) who is an amazing Lightning DPS who only needs her Weapon 7T since her stigmata are available to craft in the Foundry.

FR is also entirely free to obtain from the beginner Event, she can function either as a Lightning DPS or Support and her signature stigmata set is also available in the Foundry.

If HoT is obtained, a team consisting of HoT, FR, and HoTr can be formed to tackle most Lightning Bosses.

For Fire there is the option to unlock HoF from the BP, starting the next patch (6.6).

HoTr again is the first support for this team, while either Felis or Ai-chan can be played as the second support.

Ai-chan is farmable and can use F2P stigmata as well.

As soon either HoO or HoFi are unlocked with their signature gear, those will be reliable Lightning and Fire DPS Valks.

The trio being the ultimate goal to get but them all being gacha only and heavily reliant on their signature gear, makes them a long term goal to work for.

This means while saving up for them, some other Valks and gears have to be acquired before them.

Mid/high level captain

If you lack a physical or quantum DPS and you have HoS, then VQ might be your best investment.

As I presented at the beginning of this page, this Valk has plenty of bosses where you can use her. On the other hand, if you have other goals in mind, you may consider using her momentarily with an alternative gear.

Her equipment is definitely a good choice, especially with the discount of the current patch (6.5), but in RL or lower you probably won't need it unless you want to be among the top of your group.

Recommended to obtain Dudu Elf with a possible future event or another spending event.

Nirvana players

Valkyrie Quicksand (S0+) is mandatory to maintain a high score.

Complete her and full her gear

Get HoS (S0+) and SI (SSS) full gear

Get ELF Dudu at least 3★
