Hi Captain~ Ai Chan [O] again, reporting! It's time for the Honkai various interesting mini-game session that everyone loves to see. This lesson introduces a new event for the upcoming V6.6 Patch— TeRiRi's Magical Quest. The mini game in this edition is a Matching Tiles like Bejeweled and Candy Crush, everyone should be familiar with this gameplay, if not, let your mom handle it. Ai Chans wants to explain each character to our dear emplo— Ahem! I mean Captain, through this lesson, let's take a look together! Shall we?

EVENT INTRODUCTION

Event Main UI

• Menu - To view all other menus such as Task Squad, Travel Luggage, etc.
• Task Squad - To view the currently unlocked characters, which can be upgraded as you progress in the story.
• Travel Luggage - To view the currently unlocked items.
• Path Forward - Stage in obtaining materials needed for character upgrades.
• Tower of Horror - Challenge Stages up to 70 Levels and obtain new Emblem.
• Curiosity Shoppe - Event store, use event tokens to exchange rewards.
• Gem Transmutation - Consumes Uncut Crystals to enhance Gem Skills and Base Effects.

The event is divided into 3 Modes, which are the Story Stages, Daily Stages and Challenge Stages.

Practical Magic

There are a total of 5 usable characters in this event, each with different skill effects. On the Task Squad and Attack screen, Captain can use Practical Magic to level up characters. Leveling up increases' stats including max HP, max SP, STR, MAG, Healing, and Charging. Each character has unique growth rates.

If you can't beat the stage, try leveling up characters.

Uncut Crystals

On the Gem Transmutation screen, Captain can transmute Uncut Crystals into the skill gems of random characters. A successful transmutation will star up Skills gems and Basic Gems. Collect more Uncut Crystals by advancing the Event Story and Tower of Horror and transmute them into powerful skill gems!

Pulling for Star Upgrades

Participate in the event to obtain Upright Arcana. It is used to redeem rewards in the event store, Curiosity Shoppe.

STORY STAGES

Story Stage UI

Main Story is divided into 3 Maps, the Crescent Moon District, Lone Star City, and Site of Nightmare. Clearing the stage can unlock New Characters, New Items, and various Event Tokens.

PATH FORWARD

Engage in 10 Turns of DMG Challenge that is refreshed daily, which affects Environment Modifications and Recommended Characters. Deal more DMG to obtain more Practical Magic. Rewards obtained increases with Main Story Progress.

TOWER OF HORROR

Venture into the Deepest Part of the Challenges! Plentiful rewards include Limited Emblem and Uncut Crystals.

Tower of Horror contains stages that will better test Captain's abilities. As they progress in the Main Story, Tower of Horror gradually opens. Each stage has different environment modifications. Each floor features an enemy. The more floors Captain clear, the more rewards they obtain. Furthermore, reach 40F to get the Event Emblem!

GAMEPLAY

Match 3 basic gems by swiping them to swap places and activate the current basic gem's effect once. If a skill gem is included, activate its effect instead. The number of times a skill gem's effect is activated equals the number of this skill gem.

Match multiple basic gems (no more than 4 in a row or column) to make a skill gem at the place of swap and eliminate at multiple times the original strength. Matches of Straight Line are 2x and T-shaped, L-shaped matches are 3x.

Match 5 gems in a row or column to make an ultra-gem at the place of swap and eliminate at 3x strength.

In enemy turn, enemy will attack. Tap the enemy skill icon in the bottom-right to see detailed skill description and turns left till activation. If the enemy intends to release a powerful skill, Captain will be warned in player turn.

Every stage has a turn limit. Every turn is divided into player turn and enemy turn. In player turn, slide and swap gems on the board. After a match, the board turns dark and cannot be interacted with, indicating is is enemy turn.

GEM SKILLS

Each character has her own skill gem, whose effect can be view on Task Squad and Battle Screens. When the matched gems include a skill gem, only its effect will be activated. with a multiplier equaling the number of skill gems eliminated.

Each character has her own ultra-gem, whose effect can be viewed on the Task Squad and Battle Screens. Ultra-gems cannot be eliminated by swapping but can be tapped on to activate skills. Using an ultra-gem does not take up turn. If there are other ultra-gems in the surrounding 8 tiles, they will be used together. For each additional ultra-gem used, its effect is activated 2 more times.

ITEMS

Captains can view items in Travel Luggage and equip them on the Attack Screen. Using items consumes SP. When SP is sufficient, item will glow to indicate availability. Drag them out of the item bar to use them. Used items enter a cooldown.

• Healing Potion - Recovers HP at 400% Healing Strength. SP: 30, CD: 3 Turns
• Rubber Mallet - Destroys 1 gem. SP: 40, CD: 3 Turns
• Tingling Electrode - Deals 130% of True DMG, based on STR and MAG combined. SP: 50, CD: 3 Turns
• Wand - Upgrades a basic gem to a skill gem. SP: 40, CD: 3 Turns
• Holy Springwater - Removes ailments from 4 random gems. SP: 60, CD: 3 Turns
• Lucky Unlucky Black Cat - Randomly changes 3 basic gems to skill gems. SP: 70, CD: 3 Turns
• Late Hourglass - Delay enemy attack by 2 turns. SP: 80, CD: 6 Turns
• Alchemy - Changes 1 gem into an ultra-gem. SP: 150, CD: 5 Turns
• Chaotic Dice - Randomly rearrange all gems. SP: 140, CD: 5 Turns

SPECIAL TILES

Ailments

Enemy skills may apply a variety of Ailments to gems. Ailments are attached to gems and follow them around (except for frozen gems, which cannot be moved). Being matched removes ailments. A gem cannot have more than one ailment. There are also ailments that are attached to tiles (such as grass) and do not follow gems around. Being matched removes ailments.

Obstacles

CHARACTER GUIDE

The Max Level is 30. The Tower of Horror will require Captains a specific Character Strategy, so everyone need to be upgraded. But Ai Chans recommends prioritizing Kasumi > TeRiRi > Delta = Rita = Bronie.

BRONIE

Specializes in Physical ATK, mainly Blue Gems.

Eliminate Yellow Skill Gems to gain stacks of Haxxor Count, then Eliminate Pink Skill Gems to reduce enemy's DEF and lastly, Eliminate Blue Skill Gems to deal DMG.

Ai Chans Tips: Haxxor count increases DMG by 3% for each stack, max: 20 stacks. The higher the Haxxor Count, the higher the DMG.

TERIRI

Specializes in Magical ATK, mainly Pink Gems.

Eliminate Yellow Skill Gems to generate more Pink Skill Gems, then Eliminate Pink Skill Gems to reduce enemy's Magical RES and lastly, eliminate either Pink Skill Gems or Pink Basic Gems to deal Magical DMG.

Ai Chans Tips: It's preferably to spam eliminating Yellow Skill Gems and Pink Skill Gems. Additionally, TeRiRi Red Skill Gems can clear ailments.

RITA

Specializes in Dealing DMG through losing and recovering Health.

Eliminate All Kinds of Skill Gems alternately to deal decent DMG.

Ai Chans Tips: The additional DMG of Blue Skill Gems and Pink Skill Gems are relative to the HP lost during its release, and Rita's HP should be kept as low as possible. Additionally, Rita Red Skill Gems will recover HP and at the same time will deal DMG, and when the HP value drops below 50%, one Red Basic Gems can be upgraded to Red Skill Gems, and increase healing ability, can better deal with many complex situations.

KASUMI

Specializes in Skill Gems

Eliminate Yellow Skill Gems to generate more Skill Gems, then Eliminate Blue Skill Gems and Pink Skill Gems to deal DMG.

Ai Chans Tips: Eliminating Ultimate Gems will remove obstacles and ailments around it. Pairing the Item: Alchemy with Kasumi can improve the combo effects twice the result with half effort.

DELTA

Specializes in Charging Output, mainly Yellow Gems

Eliminate Yellow Skill Gems to recover SP, then Eliminate Blue Skill Gems and Pink Skill Gems to deal DMG without distinction.

Ai Chans Tips: Delta DMG depends on her remaining SP, so Captain needs to ensure High SP. It is not suitable to use Items frequently. Additionally, Eliminating Red Skill Gems will grant a shield to Delta and resist DMG once, also Yellow Basic Gems are immune to ailments.

SUMMARY

• Use TeRiRi for the whole process.
• Use Delta for lack of DMG.
• Use Kasumi for countering obstacles summoned by enemies.
• Use Rita and Bronie for special occasions.

TOWER OF HORROR GUIDE

SUMMARY

• Character must be above level 25 for easier runs, and it is recommended to max them up before challenging Floors above 40.
• Recommended Characters: Kasumi > TeRiRi > Delta, Rita and Bronie are for special cases.
• Always bring Holy Springwater to remove ailments and bring Rubber Mallet on F19-20 and F53-55 to deal with the Evil Key obstacle summoned by Cerberus.
• Items Lucky and Unlucky Black Cat and Alchemy has a good synergy with Kasumi, especially when dealing with a lot of ailments.
• The above recommended characters and items are only recommended based on the adaptability to the Stage Environment.
