Elysian Realm - Signet Rework

Introduction

The Elysian Realm goes through some major changes with the start of v6.6. In this guide, I’ll be going through these changes and how it affects gameplay.

Signets of Deliverance

Arguably one of the biggest buffs has been given to Kevin. Base signet buff durations have been extended by 2 seconds, and the Physical Breach signet even gets 10% more breach. The most important change is to Kevin1, with Final Battle duration being extended to 7 seconds like the base signets, and Crusade of the Deliverer now being triggered only 0.5 seconds into Final Battle, enhancing signet buffs even faster.

This change has turned Deliverance signets from one of the least used signets to one almost every Valkyrie is going to use. The longer duration and faster triggering enhanced signet of Kevin1 makes it more consistent, and with the changes being made to other Elysian Realm signets, Kevin1 easily becomes one of the best Nexus signets.

Kevin2, while buffed, still won’t see much use even for burst mode Valkyries. Most of them will prefer Kevin1.

Signets of Discipline

Poor, poor Aponia. Her Fifth signet’s starting Exhortation and Total DMG Taken have both been nerfed, while Aponia2 Enhanced signets have been absolutely destroyed.

Before the change, several Valkyries made use of Aponia2’s buffs, and for good reason: it gave incredible damage output and SP regeneration in exchange for easily avoidable restrictions. However, the change to Aponia2’s Enhanced signets introduced new restrictions, and now all 3 have had their effects reduced in exchange for a 50% increase in their buffs if you only own one. The problem with this is the strength of Aponia2 lay in the synergy of multiple Enhanced signets when obtained, which now won’t work due to the restrictions applied to them.

Aponia1 remains unused for most Valkyries after the signet change.

Signets of Gold

The signet buff cap won’t affect anyone most of the time. Getting to 500 max SP is rather difficult considering the hoops one has to jump through to do so. It’s possible, but it definitely won’t be worth it. Other than that, Eden’s signet changes don’t affect their importance very much. They will remain a low priority to get, usually an acquisition from the shop if needed at all.

Signets of Helix

While the Basic signets of Helix suffer no changes, Vill-V2’s Special Weapon: No. 4 loses a big chunk of its adaptive DMG multiplier, and has its Time Fracture duration cut in half. While Vill-V1 has been slightly buffed, most Physical DMG Valkyries will likely prefer running Vill-V2 if they’re using Helix at all.

Signets of Decimation

Similar to the signets of Gold, Decimation signets will not be affected much, if at all, by the cap, as reaching 18k max HP is rather difficult. As for the changes made to the Enhanced signets of Kalpas1 and Kalpas2, it won’t make much difference as Valkyries such as Herrscher of Flamescion, who uses Kalpas2, will not be affected by the Physical Breach change, and most Valkyries don’t use Kalpas1 either.

Signets of Bodhi

Bodhi Basic signets don’t change much, only bringing an additional effect to two signets benefiting Valkyries with the fast ATK tag (e.g. Herrscher of Thunder). While Su1 buffs seem quite substantial, not many Valkyries will prioritise Bodhi signets, not even most Fast ATK tag ones. Most of the time, the Valkyries who do run Bodhi, like Shadow Knight, take Su2 instead.

Signets of Sakura

Like the signets of Helix, the Basic signets of Sakura are not affected by any changes. As for the changes to both Nexus signets, several Valkyries already have the Time Mastery tag, so they won’t be missing out on the additional buffs. Not that it would matter though, considering Sakura is a rather low priority and thus won’t have its Enhanced signets seeing much use, since Basic signets will likely be bought from the shop if obtained at all.

Signets of Daybreak

Considering how bad Daybreak signets were before, I’d be more surprised if the rework hadn’t changed it as much as it did. In fact, the changes didn’t make it that much better. The changes benefit Physical DMG Valkyries, especially ones who can inflict Bleed, but the relevant ones like Starry Impression or Valkyrie Quicksand don’t even make use of Daybreak at all. Both Nexus cores' Enhanced signets provide more Physical Breach, but in the Elysian Realm, it’s so saturated that more won’t do much good at all.

Signets of Infinity

Like Helix and Sakura, the Basic signets of Infinity have not been changed. As for Mobius1, it gets quite the interesting update: the old effect of Enhanced signet Newborn [X] has been moved to the Nexus signet itself, in exchange for getting a new effect, buffing Physical and Elemental Breach by 30% and 20% respectively when the Valkyrie is in the Mind Sync status. While this rework may seem good on paper, it isn’t a very big upgrade. As there are several sources of Breach in the Elysian Realm from all the signets available, the saturation of Breach means more won’t help much if at all. Valkyries making use of Infinity before the rework will still use it afterward, such as Mobius, and Ice Valkyries running the meme JST strat.

Mobius2 gets a slight buff, but nothing significant enough for any Valkyrie to use it over Mobius1.

Signets of Stars

Once again, another group of overpowered signets have been nerfed. The buff from Griseo’s Red paint has been reduced, and so has the max stacks from her Black paint signet, which honestly doesn’t look that bad. However, the main strength of the signets of Stars, Griseo2 and its Enhanced signets, have been absolutely destroyed, just like Aponia2.

The restrictions placed on Griseo2’s Enhanced signets make it difficult to max out the buffs, as you’d need to not only unlock the Nexus signets of other Flamechasers, but also go out of your way to get at least one of their Enhanced signets. This may not sound bad at first, but if RNG isn’t in your favour, suddenly getting different types of Enhanced signets is a lot harder, especially if the build you’re running doesn’t focus as much on getting several Nexus signets unlocked.

As for Griseo1, it likely won’t see much use after the rework either, just like before. Poor Griseo1.

Signets of Vicissitude

Not much to say here. The Physical Breach Basic signet now gives more Breach per stack, and both Nexus signets have had their Enhanced signets slightly buffed. Nothing amazing, but at least Hua didn’t get nerfed. The small change means Vicissitude signet priority remains the same: low, but if you can get Hua2 without sacrificing anything, go for it.

Signets of Reverie

…yeah. Reverie signets remained untouched.

Conclusion

The rework brings some big changes, with the general priority shifting towards Kevin1 instead of Aponia2 or Griseo2, but don’t be daunted by the rework. Most signets won’t change in their priority, and to take into account those that do, guides for Elysian Realm across HoYoLab as well as the official Discord will likely be updated accordingly. (oh no, that includes my guides as well…)

Thanks for reading this far! I’ve been really busy the past few weeks (and still am) which is why this was uploaded so late. If you spot any mistakes, please let me know and I will update them as soon as I can. Feel free to ask any questions in the comments and I’ll do my best to answer them.

Actually… while you’re here, could we get an F for Aponia2 and Griseo2?
