[HSR] Prologue: Today Is Yesterday's Tomorrow - opinion [spoilers]

[NEXT Chapter>>]

Yes, I started playing HSR. I was curious if that game is worth playing like Genshin Impact. I've been playing since its official release, and so far, I can say that I'm going to love it. It's like Genshin, but better in some aspects. I think they should add some features from HSR to Genshin. They wouldn't lose anything.

Anyway, I just want to address a trigger warning for those who don't like comparisons between HYV games. If you easily get angry every time someone compares a character from one game to another character from the other game, please leave this page immediately. I don't want to cause your fury. That's a kindly request from me.

Also, my comparison is mainly between Genshin and HSR, with less focus on HI3 because I'm not an active player of HI3, and I don't know every character from there.

There might also be some spoilers for those who haven't completed the Genshin story up to version 3.7 yet.

Let's get straight to my experience:

  • Everything began at the Herta Space Station. Kafka played her invisible violin, then there was an epic fight, searching for the Stellarone, and that's how your MC got created. I chose Stelle.
  • From now on, I'm curious if we will ever meet the other MC.
  • I still don't know why Kafka gave life to our character with the power of the Stellarone.
  • Then there was a fight with the Doomsday Beast who reminds me of Dvalin, as he flies, and Shouki no Kami in the fight somehow.
  • Next, we protected March 7th with our body, which caused us to meet Nanook in the afterlife? ig.
  • Something happened to our Stellarone. I guess this was the moment we obtained the power of the Destruction Path.
  • Next, we met more and more Express Crew and Space Station characters, alongside Pom-Pom, who is like Star Rail's Paimon.

Now I'm going to talk about other characters and who they remind me of:

  • Dan Heng: Wind Zhongli, but emo like Xiao.
  • March 7th: Iconic like Paimon, but suits more to Ice Amber.
  • Himeko: Since this character is based on Murata Himeko from HI3, people say she might be the future Pyro Archon since they share the name - Murata. I just hope that turns out to be true.
  • Welt: His outfit looks a little like Childe's, but his character is more like Zhongli.
  • Arlan: Shares the VA with Nilou, but I don't remember much about him.
  • Asta: VA and astrology theme like Mona.
  • Herta: Puppeteer, as people say Sandrone is. She has many versions of herself, just like Dottore, and she's a puppet like Scaramouche. How did they manage to merge 3 Fatui into one person?
  • Kafka: Looks like a better Rosaria. I'm definitely going to wrap for her.
  • Silver Wolf: She's an interesting character. I want her! She shares the braid-style and size with Bronya from HI3, but...

I think I have found my favorite element here. In Genshin, it's Electro, and I feel like I must have all the Electro characters, and I currently do. Here in HSR, I think I want to focus on Quantum.

To sum up, this arc of the story was a nice introduction to the game and encouraged me to continue playing.
