If you have any more questions, you can refer to other sections of this FAQ thread~
Q5: I want to get Primogems quickly for the current banner! Where can I obtain more Primogems?
A5:
If you don’t want to spend real-world money:
l In-game:
1. Complete quests: You can obtain Primogems from quests such as Archon Quests, Story Quests, World Quests, Daily Commissions, Hangout Events, and Event Quests. Archon Quests, Story Quests, and World Quests grant 40-80 Primogems per chapter. Daily Commissions provide at least 60 Primogems, and each Hangout Event grants 60 Primogems. Small-scale Event Quests yield 420 Primogems, while large-scale Event Quests offer 720 Primogems.
2. Increase World Exploration Level: Completing all the quests in the current chapter grants 200 Primogems.
3. Achievements: Each achievement grants 5-20 Primogems.
4. Increase Adventure Rank: Certain Adventure Ranks provide 100 Primogems as rewards.
5. Unlock Domains, Teleport Waypoints, and Statues of The Seven: Each unlocking rewards 5 Primogems.
6. Open Chests: Chests yield 2, 5, or 10 Primogems.
7. Collect Geo/Electro/Anemo-culi and upgrade Statues of The Seven: Upgrading the Mondstadt Statues of The Seven grants 10 Primogems per level, while upgrading the Liyue/Inazuma/Sumeru Statues of The Seven grants 60 Primogems per level.
8. New characters trial: 40 Primogems.
9. Clear Spiral Abyss: The more levels you clear, the more Primogems you earn. The maximum is 12 floors, with a reset every 15 days.
l Outside the game:
1. Redeem Codes from preview livestream: Each version release provides 300 Primogems.
2. New version maintenance: Each version release offers 600 Primogems.
3. HoYoLab Sign-in: Remember to sign in every day!
4. Web Events: Each version release includes web events. Look for "Special Events" in the game for event info.
How can light spenders gain cost-effective extra Primogems:
1. Purchase the “premium monthly card”: Sojourner's Battle Pass grants Acquaint Fate as a bonus; after purchasing the Gnostic Hymn, Intertwined Fate and Primogems can be obtained.
2. Purchase the “basic monthly card”: The Welkin Blessing provides 90 Primogems daily upon logging in.
Q6: Can I change character's gender?
A6: Currently, character's gender cannot be changed, so think twice before you leap!
Q7: Can I use the same nickname as someone else? How can I edit it?
A7: It is possible to have the same nickname as someone else. Click on the Paimon icon in the top left corner, then click on the edit button in the top right corner to edit your name.
Q8: How can I review past storylines in the game?
A8: First, go to the menu page and select the [Archive]. Find [Travel Log] and you will be able to see past main storylines and character story quests. However, the storyline review only includes text and voice dialogue; there are no cutscenes.

Q9: Can I modify my birthday in the game, or is it a one-time setting?
A9: Once your birthday is confirmed, it cannot be modified again, so make sure to finalize the date in advance.
Q10: Where can I find the latest news about upcoming updates?
A10:
1. Typically, the preview livestream will be released on YouTube, Twitch about two weeks before the version update. The exact date may be subject to slight adjustments, but it is generally scheduled for weekends. The specific timing will be announced by the official Genshin Impact Twitter account 2-3 days in advance.
2. Additionally, the relevant posts regarding the new version will be released ahead of time on HoYoLab. Feel free to follow and stay tuned for updates~
Q11: At what Adventure Rank can I access co-op gameplay? At what Adventure Rank are daily quests unlocked?
A11:
Daily Commission becomes available at Adventure Rank 12. You can find them in the Adventure Handbook, Quest List, or Map. After completing the daily commissions, remember to visit the Adventurers' Guild to claim your rewards.
Co-Op Mode can be accessed at Adventure Rank 16, along with the completion of the current main quest. You can locate the Co-Op Mode in the menu and apply to join other players for cooperative gameplay. Additionally, through the friend system, you can also send requests to enter your friends' worlds and enjoy adventures together.
Q12: What can I do in Co-Op Mode? Can I go for quests with friends? How do I add friends?
A12:
In multiplayer mode, visitors are not able to initiate quests, activate teleport waypoints, open chests, etc., in the host's world. They can only engage in regular activities like defeating world bosses and teaming up for domains. However, they can still gather resources as usual. This means we can loot materials in other players' worlds, but of course, it requires the host's permission.
How to add friends:
Click on Paimon's avatar.
Tap the Friends button to access the Friends interface.
Option 1: Click the second button and enter the friend's UID to search for them, then click "Add Friend."
Option 2: Click the third button to search for online friends and click "Add Friend."

Q14: Can I use a controller to play Genshin Impact on PC?
A14: Yes, Genshin Impact supports controllers. You can use a controller for character movement and perform actions such as combat.
Q15: Will each update contribute to the game's overall size? What if I run out of storage space?
A15:
With each update, Genshin Impact will occupy more space. Starting from version 3.2, a feature to clear cache has been added, but it is currently only available on mobile devices. In the game settings, you can find [Resources - Quest Resources] that will display the amount of removable resources. Clicking on uninstall will complete the process. Then, Travel Log will indicate the missing audio resources. If necessary, you can download them again.
If your device has too small a space to play Genshin Impact, or if you often worry about having enough remaining space before each version update, you can also try Genshin Impact · Cloud.
Q16: What are the optimal system requirements for Genshin Impact on PC, iOS, and Android? What kind of internet connection is required?
A16:
l Recommended PC Configuration:
CPU: Intel Core i7
GPU: GTX 1060 6GB

l Recommended Android Configuration:
Operating System: Android 8.1
SoC: Snapdragon 845 / Kirin 980
Memory: 4GB
Storage: 8GB
l Network Requirements:
Genshin Impact requires a stable internet connection. It is recommended to use a wired connection or a high-speed Wi-Fi for a smoother gaming experience.
Q17: Is a PS Plus subscription necessary to play Genshin Impact on PS4?
A17: Nope, it is not mandatory.

=Gacha and Top-up=
Q18: How does the Genshin Impact gacha system work? Does it have a pity system? Which banner should I focus on?
A18:
1. Genshin Impact gacha system goes with four types of banners: Beginner Banner, Character Event Banner, Weapon Event Banner, and Standard Banner.
2. The pulls from the Character Event Banner, Weapon Event Banner, and Standard Banner are counted independently.
3. Both the Character Event Banner and Standard Banner guarantee a 5-star entity within 90 pulls, but it is said that the highest chance of obtaining a 5-star is usually within the 70-80 pull range. If you only get a 5-star item on the 90th pull, it's totally unlucky.
4. While the Character Event Banner guarantees a 5-star item within 90 pulls, it isn’t necessarily the current rate-up character. If you miss the rate-up on the 90th pull, the 180th pulls is guaranteed to be the rate-up character. However, if you obtain the rate-up on the 90th pull, the count resets. After a version update, the pull count carries over to the next version for each individual banner.
5. The Weapon Event Banner guarantees a 5-star weapon within 80 pulls. It has a different mechanism known as “Fate Point”. Please refer to the graph for details. Note that the 80-wish pity and 160-wish pity carry over and do not reset with version updates, while the Fate Point only applies to the current banner and does not carry over to future banners.

6. Acquaint Fate cannot be used to pull from the Character Event Banner and can only be used in either the Beginner Banner or the Standard Banner.
7. Noelle is more suitable for mining than as a starting character, so the Beginner Banner is recommended for newbie.
8. If you are using Primogems for pulls, it is not advisable to spend them on the Standard Banner or Beginner Banner. If you are not a big spender, it is wise to save your Primogems for the Character Event Banner.

Q19: Can newbies gain decent combat power even if they fail to pull 5-star character?
A19: Absolutely!
In Genshin Impact, many 4-star characters are just as powerful as 5-star ones! There are three 4-star characters whose strength is off the charts, to the point that veteran players even bestow upon them the title of "6-Star War Gods." They are Bennett, Xiangling, and Xingqiu. The versatile 4-star healer Barbara with decent combat power is also an excellent choice. Another 4-star character from Mondstadt, Sucrose, is worth considering for newbies to build up.
There are also other highly useful 4-star characters awaiting your exploration.
Q20: Is the monthly card worth it? How can I gain the best benefits?
A20: First of all, Basic Monthly Card (Blessing of the Welkin Moon) is much more cost-effective than the Premium Monthly Card (Sojourner's Battle Pass). If your budget allows only one, I recommend going for the Basic Monthly Card because it provides substantial gacha resources.
During the early and mid-game stages, F2P players often suffer material shortages, particularly in terms of Mora, character EXP materials, and weapon EXP materials. If you plan to spend some money, the Premium Monthly Card is highly recommended as it significantly enhances your gaming experience during the first month.
However, if there are fewer than 21 days remaining in the current Premium Monthly Card and your progress is almost zero, I advise against purchasing it for the current period. It would be unwise to do so because you won't be able to complete it and obtain the rewards from the final few levels. If you're unsure whether you can complete the Battle Pass before the current period ends, you can wait until the Premium Monthly Card reaches its max level before making the purchase. That way, you'll receive all the rewards in one go.
Q21: Is it necessary for beginners to spend money?
A21: It depends on your financial situation; everyone is different.
It is undeniable that in Genshin Impact, the more you spend, the more enjoyable the game becomes. You can freely pull characters and weapons, use Primogems to replenish resin, and even obtain better artifacts.
However, the great thing about Genshin Impact is that it doesn't have PvP. You don't have to worry about being outmatched by others but only focus on defeating the monsters in your own world. To overcome those monsters, you don't need to spend money but enough time and decent character build. Although there are certain characters worth pulling or characters you really want, the game also provides a generous amount of free Primogems. With wise Primogem planning, even F2P players can obtain the desired characters.
Q22: What are Acquaint Fate and Intertwined Fate? What's the difference between them?
A22:
Acquaint Fate (blue orb) and Intertwined Fate (pink orb) are Genshin Impact's wish (gacha) items. Acquaint Fate is used for the Beginner Banner and the Standard Banner, while Intertwined Fate is used for the Character Event Banner and the Weapon Event Banner.

Intertwined Fate is rarer and harder to obtain, so it's important to think hard and plan wisely when using it~
Q23: Is Stardust Exchange worthwhile? What items should I prioritize exchanging?
A23: Obtaining a 3-star weapon from wishes grants 15 Stardust, and within each shop cycle, you can exchange 5 Intertwined Fates and 5 Acquaint Fates using Stardust. It's quite cost-effective. For F2P players, it's recommended to save up Stardust and purchase Intertwined Fates and Acquaint Fates after the monthly shop update. After all, the best items are in the banners, and these two wish tickets are way too crucial. Only whales may use Stardust to exchange for materials!

= Game Interface =
Q24: Any must-know for beginner's game interface?
A24:
The interface for beginners may differ from mine, and the missing features will gradually unlock as your Adventure Rank increases.
On PC, you can hold down Alt to bring up the cursor.
On mobile device, when picking up items, you can tap on an empty space near the item to collect all at once.
It is recommended for PC players to open the settings menu by pressing Esc and navigate to the Key Bindings to view, memorize, or modify the shortcuts.

Q25: What are the controls for combat? How do I use them?
A25:
Combat Interface:

l Elemental Skill: It is available as soon as the cooldown ends. The cooldown time is displayed as a number on the Elemental Skill button. Some characters have different effects when you tap or hold the Elemental Skill button. Hitting enemies will generate energy.
l Elemental Burst: It can be used when the cooldown ends and there is enough energy. The higher the Energy Recharge, the faster the energy regenerates. In addition to generating energy by hitting enemies with the Elemental Skill, some enemies also generate energy when they receive a certain amount of damage or are defeated.
l Normal Attack: The large icon in the center. Tap to perform a normal attack. Except for archers, other characters can consume stamina to perform a charged attack by holding the button. Each character has a unique charged attack, so feel free to explore.
l The icons on the right are for jumping and sprinting: Tapping the sprint consumes stamina to perform a dodge. During the dodge, the character hass i-frame (cannot be targeted or hit). The character can dodge twice in a row and then enters a brief cooldown. Holding the sprint consumes stamina to run. After pressing it, the character can run two steps (exactly two steps) and then press it again to perform a second dodge, without triggering the dodge limit.
Note: The character's physique affects their speed. Taller characters are able to climb and run faster.

=Exploration=
Q26: What should I do if I can't find my destination? How can I view distant areas?
A26:
l On mobile, after entering the game, click on the quest bar below the map in the upper left corner. Select the desired quest and click "Track" to see the marked location on the main map. The direction to the quest location will be indicated.
l On PC, while in the game, press ESC and click on [Quest] at the top. Hold Alt to activate the mouse and click on the exclamation mark in the upper left corner to open the quest bar. Alternatively, press the shortcut key "J" to open the quest panel. Click "Track" to see the marked task location on the main map.

However, please note that not all quests can be tracked. Some quests may require players to find the target location based on clues. For players who are less interested in solving puzzles, it is recommended to directly search for the quest name on HoYoLab and follow the guides for a smoother completion.
In the leftmost section of the menu, you can use the camera mode. In camera mode, you can adjust the height and angle of the camera to achieve a better view of the surroundings.
Q27: How does the quest system work? How many types of quests are there in the game?
A27:
l Archon Quest: These are main quests that feature voice acting and cutscenes. It is recommended to prioritize completing these quests.
l Story Quest: These are character-specific quests that often require keys obtained from daily commissions to unlock. They may have voice acting and cutscenes, and some of them will unlock further content.
l Daily Commission: These are daily quests that refresh at 4:00 AM. It is advisable to complete them promptly.
l World Quest: These are side quests. After unlocking access to Inazuma, some later world quests may require the next day in the real world to unlock further content (for example, "Tatara Tales" requires seven real-world days, with each day unlocking a new part).
l Hangout Event: It is found in Story Quest bar in the bottom left corner. Hangout Events require a specific key to unlock. After completing an event once, you can select any completed node to replay it in subsequent playthroughs.
Q28: How do I use the Elemental Sight?
A28:
l Mobile: Tap on the eye-like icon on the right side of the map to activate Elemental Sight.

l PC: Long-press the middle mouse button to activate Elemental Sight.
In Elemental Sight, interactive mechanisms, unlockable chests, and breakable rocks are usually displayed in white.
When using Elemental Sight near an empty Seelie Court (where Seelie rests, the end point of Seelie’s travel, and where chests appear), a line will indicate the direction of the Seelie (which is mostly accurate).
Q29: How can I revive a character?
A29:
There are often two ways to revive characters:
l In inventory, find Steak, Mora Meat, Mondstadt Grilled Fish, Stir-Fried Filet and other food that have a revival effect. However, there is a cooldown (usually 2 minutes) when using them. Simply click to use.
l Near the Statue of The Seven, you can directly revive your characters without consuming any resources. This type of revival doesn't require any spending.
Barbara's C6 can also revive characters.
Q30: What are the effects of the different food? How can I obtain food?
A30:
l Restorative: This category includes revival, direct recovery, and slow recovery. Teyvat Fried Egg may be best option for revival.
l ATK: The best food in this kind is Adeptus' Temptation. Foods that provide ATK bonuses are more useful in the early game, while those that boost CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG become more valuable in the later stages. During challenging activities in the end-game stage, it is advisable to use advanced ATK-booster.
l DEF: Generally, DEF food won’t help much. There's no need to be stingy with it.
l Exploration: Effects include reducing stamina consumption for sprinting, running, gliding, and climbing, as well as direct stamina recovery. Dragonspine food and Goulash can help slow down the accumulation of Sheer Cold.
Food can be obtained primarily through cooking and purchasing:
Cooking Food:
First, unlock the recipes for the desired food. Then, prepare the necessary ingredients. Ingredient can be processed at the cooking stations near Good Hunter in Mondstadt or Wanmin Restaurant in Liyue. If the cooking station is extinguished, you'll need to ignite it using a Pyro character like Amber.
Purchasing Food:
Look for the [Knife and Fork] icon on the map and head to the designated location. For example, you can purchase food from Sara, the waiter at the [Good Hunter] in Mondstadt.

Q31: How can I quickly locate the monsters I need to defeat in the open world?
A31:
Click on the Adventurer Handbook icon at the top right corner, then select "Enemies" at the bottom left, and choose the monster you want to track. Click on "Navigate".

Once you switch to the map, the yellow markers indicate the locations of the monsters. You can select the nearest waypoint to teleport to save time on traveling.

Q32: As a beginner, I struggle to defeat enemies in the open world. How can I disengage from combat?
A32:
Most monsters are spawned at a fixed point, with a certain aggro and pursuit range. The aggro and pursuit ranges may vary for different monsters. When the player is within the pursuit range, the monster will always engage.
When the player goes out of the pursuit range, the monster will chase until the edge of the pursuit range and then disengage. If the character moves far away from the pursuit range, the monster will disengage earlier.
In short, flee if you can’t beat them.
Q33: Any tips for beginners’ mountain climbing?
A33:
1. If there are no resting spots, try to save your stamina first. Jump onto the cliff first and then climb with average speed.
2. If there are resting spots, plan your optimal route in advance and climb to reach the resting spot one by one.
3. During the climbing, you can use the direction keys to accelerate horizontally and upwards, but don't forget to use X to land.
4. Some spots have plants that restore stamina~
Q34: How does the weekly boss respawn? Any tips for fighting weekly bosses?
A34:
The weekly boss resets every Monday at 4 AM. In the early stages, as your Adventure Rank increases by 5, the World Level will also increase, affecting the drop rewards. So if you plan to increase your World Level within the week, it's recommended to save the weekly boss for the weekend.
Additionally, the talent upgrade materials from the weekly boss require Adventure Rank 40 and World Level 5 to drop. Before World Level 4, the weekly boss drops only weapon billet and a chance for 5-star artifacts (starting from World Level 3 at Adventure Rank 30).
Note: To unlock the Weekly Boss "Azhdaha” in Beneath the Dragon-Queller, you need to complete the "Zhongli Story Quest 2," which requires obtaining keys by completing daily commissions.
Other weekly bosses are unlocked after completing the main quests.
Q35: What is the refresh time for renewable resources in Genshin Impact?
A35:
In Genshin Impact, the available resources can be roughly categorized as follows:
l Local Specialties: These are unique products from Liyue and Mondstadt, such as Glaze Lily and Windwheel Aster, which refresh every 2 days.
l Minerals: Electro Crystals refresh every 2 days. Iron Ore refreshes daily. White Iron Ore refreshes every 2 days. Crystal Chunk refreshes every 3 days. Cor Lapis refreshes every 2 days. Noctilucous Jade refreshes every 2 days.
l Animals: Boars, birds, ducks, and fish refresh every 12 hours. Frogs and crabs refresh daily. Weasel Thief resets at 4 AM.
l Wild Resources: Mist Flowers, Flaming Flowers, and other similar items refresh every 2 days. Amber in Mt. Hulao refreshes daily.
l Wild Miscellany: Sweet Flowers, Butterflies, Crystalline Cores refresh every 12 hours. Pinecones, fruits on trees, and mushrooms refresh daily.
l Monsters: Common monsters in all regions reset at 4 AM. Roadside investigations refresh every 12 hours or daily.
l Fish: Refreshes three days after the player fishes from a fishing spot.
Q36: What is the use of Reputation Quests?
A36:
In the Reputation panel of each city, you can find a list of available quests and challenges that offer reputation points. On top of that, interacting with citizens will offer reputation points, too.
Note that reputation is independent for each city. It can be exchanged for various rewards, such as weapons and materials. The available rewards for each city's reputation will be listed in the Reputation panel.
For example, in Mondstadt, the reputation rewards include Anemoculus Resonance Stones, Portable Waypoint Blueprint, and Anemo Treasure Compass. These rewards are very practical: Resonance Stones allow us to quickly collect Anemoculi, Portable Waypoints can create a teleportation waypoint that lasts for 7 days.

Q37: How can I quickly level up my Adventure Rank?
A37:
1. Main Quest: Main quests are an effective way to increase your Adventure Rank. They not only allow you to experience the main story but also reward you with a significant amount of Adventure EXP.
2. Exploration & Puzzles: Opening chests is a great way to obtain Adventure EXP. Rewards can vary depending to on type of the chest, but they mostly provide abundant Mora and materials, sometimes Adventure EXP. Therefore, opening as many chests as possible can quickly boost your Adventure Rank.
3. World Quests: World quests and puzzle solving also grant Adventure EXP. These quests usually have specific requirements and restrictions, so pay attention to the instructions and complete the objectives.
4. Resin Consumption: Adventure EXP can be obtained by consuming Resin. Resin can be replenished over time or through Primogems. The amount of EXP gained varies depending on the action.
5. Daily Commissions: There are four daily commissions available each day, and completing them rewards you with generous Adventure EXP. Each provides a different amount of EXP. You can claim your daily commission rewards from Katheryne and receive Adventure EXP.
6. Unlock Waypoints: Unlocking waypoints on the map grants a certain amount of Adventure EXP. After unlocking the Statue of the Seven in the new map, waypoints will be marked. They are easy to find.
Q38: How does higher World Level affect the gaming experience?
A38:
1. Raise the characters, talents, and weapon level cap. Each ascension significantly increases various stats for the characters.
2. Monster attributes and levels also increase, and monsters gain stronger level advantages against players. Additionally, the quality and quantity of dropped items also improve.
3. Ley Line Blossom rewards increase until the World Level reaches level 6. For example, Blossom of Wealth at World Level 0 rewards 12,000 Mora for each drop. For every level increase, the reward increases by 8,000 Mora. At World Levels 6, 7, and 8, the rewards are the same, with each drop rewarding 60,000 Mora.
4. Higher-level domains gradually unlock, with higher-level domains dropping more higher-quality artifacts.
5. Note that the rewards from Shrine of Depths do not increase.
Q39: How should beginners wisely use their [Resin]?
A39:
Before Adventure Rank 45, you may focus on exploration. The monster and quest are not tough. As long as the characters are appropriately built, they can easily handle the combat.
How to allocate [Resin]: Character Ascension Materials > Weapon Ascension Materials > Talent Materials > Ley Line Blossoms ≥ Artifact Domains.
After reaching Adventure Rank 45, most characters are already well built. At this point, it is necessary to form a strong party, which requires farming Artifact Domains. Additionally, some characters' talents need to be upgraded and it requires farming talent materials.
How to allocate [Resin]: Talent Materials > Artifact Domains > Character Ascension Materials > Weapon Ascension Materials > Ley Line Blossoms.

Q40: Basic character roles in the team?
A40:
Before forming a squad, we need to understand the role of each character. In Teyvat, characters can be divided into four categories:
Main DPS: As the name suggests, they are the primary damage dealers, such as Ayaka, Yoimiya, etc.
Sub-DPS: These characters also deal damage but not as the main attacker. They excel at quick switching or providing off-field support, like Xiangling, Fischl, Kujou, and Xingqiu.
Utility Support: These characters have abilities that involve spreading elements, gathering enemies, or providing damage boosts like Kazuha, Venti, and Yun Jin.
Survival Support: These characters are healers and shielders like Zhongli, Kokomi, Bennett, and Diona, etc.
The standard team comp usually consists of Main DPS + Sub DPS + Utility Support + Survival Support. Another option is to have three support characters and one DPS.
Investing in Support is always beneficial, as they can handle various situations. So, if you come across a useful Support early on, don't hesitate to build them.

Q41: What's the difference between Original Resin, Condensed Resin, Fragile Resin, and Transient Resin? How to obtain and use them?
A41:
1. Original Resin: It automatically regenerates 1 every 8 minutes, up to a maximum of 160. It stops once it reaches the cap. If you want to maximize the use of Resin, remember to clear it daily.
2. Condensed Resin: It can be crafted by 40 Original Resin. The inventory can hold up to 5 Condensed Resin. You need the blueprint that can be obtained as a reputation reward. Once you reach Reputation Rank 3 in Liyue, you can obtain the blueprint and then craft it.
3. Fragile Resin: It replenishes 60 Original Resin. There are four ways to obtain it: increasing Adventure Rank, leveling up the Sacred Sakura, increasing the Battle Pass level, and Adventurer Handbook (Chapter 8 and Chapter 9 each have one). It is not recommended to use Fragile Resin before Adventure Rank 45. It's better to save it for farming artifacts at AR45 because only after AR45 are you guaranteed 5-star artifacts.
4. Transient Resin: After reaching level 8 in the Serenitea Pot, you can exchange it for one Transient Resin every week. It replenishes 60 Original Resin and expires in 7 days. The expiration dates of multiple Transient Resin obtained at different times are independent.
Q42: Where is character interface?
A42:
Clicking on the avatar in the top right corner takes you to the character interface, where you can view all the playable characters you currently have. By clicking on a character's portrait, you can access their detailed information, including attributes, weapons, artifacts, constellations, talents, and profile.

Click on "Details" to access character’s detailed stats.
The white numbers in the base stats mean the combined values from the character's own level-up progress and equipped weapon, commonly referred to as "base values." The green numbers represent the values from equipped artifacts, known as "artifact values."
Some character's damage bonuses are based on their "base ATK," which refers to the "base values."

Q43: Where is weapon info? Should I upgrade and refine my weapon?
A43:
The two numbers in the weapon info are the Base ATK and the weapon's stat, while the text box below describes the weapon's effect/passive.

Main Stat: Base ATK.
Secondary Stat: Can vary and include ATK, Energy Recharge, Elemental Mastery, and HP, etc.
Passive: Special abilities described in the text at the bottom. Each weapon has its unique effects, and some may have specific trigger conditions.
Weapon Type: Sword, Claymore, Polearm, Bow, and Catalyst.
Should I focus on leveling up the weapon or refining it?
Weapon upgrading and ascension is crucial as they boost Base ATK.
If the main and secondary stats of the weapon are more useful for the character, but the weapon's effects do not synergize well with the character, you can focus on upgrading without refining.
If the weapon's effects have a significant impact on the character, it is recommended to refine the weapon to a higher level.
Q44: How to obtain leveling-up/ascension materials for weapon and character (Talent Books, Enhancement Ore, Mora, Materials)?
A44:
Weapon and character upgrades/ascension materials typically fall into the following categories:
1. Local Specialty:
For example, plants and insects that can be collected in different regions. They are scattered throughout various areas. It is recommended to search for relevant farming guides on HoYoLab and follow the recommended routes. You can mark the local specialties on the map to make it easier to collect them repeatedly.
2. Drop Materials from Bosses:
For instance, Whopperflower Nectar is obtained by defeating Whopperflowers in specific locations. You can track the boss you need to defeat: Character Ascension - Boss drop material - "Navigate".

Boss’s location will be displayed on the map. Teleport to the nearest waypoint and locate the boss.

3. Talent Books:
Character talent require talent books to upgrade. Talent books can be obtained from Domains. You can check which Domain drops talent books you need. Sometimes, you can get them from chests or event rewards. Keep in mind that different talent books have different availability times for the respective Domains. Pay attention to the opening times of the Domains for different talent books.
For details of character upgrade materials and corresponding weekly domains, you can refer to the following guides:
4. Mora:
Mora is required for character level-up, talent upgrades, and weapon upgrades. Mora can be obtained from various sources such as chests, event rewards, and quest rewards. If you need more Mora, you can also earn it by farming Ley Line Blossom.
5. Mystic Enhancement Ore
Enhancement Ores are used for weapon upgrades and can be obtained from chests, event rewards, and quest rewards. They can also be forged using ore.
A45: Where is Artifact? How to upgrade Artifact? Any tips?
Artifacts have five slots: Flower (Flower of Life), Plume (Plume of Death), Sands (Sands of Eon), Goblet (Goblet of Eonothem), and Circlet (Circlet of Logos).
Unlike weapons, artifacts have fixed set bonuses (2-piece set bonus and 4-piece set bonus), while the main and substats are random (except for the Flower of Life with fixed main stat of HP and the Plume of Death with fixed main stat of ATK).
l After obtaining an artifact with ideal main stat, be sure to enhance it. You can use items like "Sanctifying Essence" and "Sanctifying Unction" to enhance artifact, or you can use lower-tier artifacts (higher-tier works too, but it's not commonly done).
l Enhanced artifacts can also be used as fodder for other artifacts, with a 20% loss. However, since feeding artifacts can give 2x or 5x EXP, overall it is just a slight loss. Feel free to use already enhanced artifacts during the transitional period.
l Which artifacts are worth keeping? Plume and Flower with 4-5 useful substats, and Circlet, Goblet, and Sands with 2-3 useful substats that match the main stat.
l Avoid using unwanted 5-star artifacts as fodder. It is better to merge them into the desired artifacts.
l 5-star artifacts you should always keep: Goblet with elemental damage bonuses (e.g., Pyro DMG Bonus), Circlet with CRIT Rate, and 5-star Goblet/Sands/Circlet with Elemental Mastery as the main stat, regardless of the set or its current enhancement level.

Q46: How to upgrade Artifact? What if I don't have enough EXP for upgrading?
A46:
1. The low-quality artifacts obtained from artifact domains can be used as enhancement materials. Beat the weekly domain and daily artifact domain to obtain them.
2. World chests can drop artifact enhancement materials.
3. World bosses drop artifact enhancement materials.
4. Talk to Tubby at the Serenitea Pot to exchange for Sanctifying Essence.
5. In the open world, there are many low-quality artifacts to be found (not in chests, but shining interactive objects). Players can farm these artifacts to enhance higher-tier artifacts. It is recommended for new players to search for "artifact farming routes" on HoYoLab to locate these artifacts on the map for easier farming in the future.
Q47: How to switch the Traveler's element type?
A47: Interact with the Statue of The Seven in Mondstadt to obtain Anemo. Interact with the Statue of The Seven in Liyue to obtain Geo (interact using the Traveler and choose "Resonate with Geo"). The same applies to other elements in their respective regions.

=Combat=
Q48: How to restore HP in battles?
A48:
1. Food: Many foods can restore HP and raise HP cap. When your HP is low in battles, you can use healing food from your inventory.
Note: Opening the inventory during combat freezes the timer. If you want to take a break or adjust your combat status in a challenging battle, you can click on the inventory to pause it.
2. Healers: Genshin Impact features various healers to provide assistance during combat. For example, characters like Qiqi can heal injured allies by being in close proximity to them. Single-target or AoE healing can both be effective.
Q49: How to deal with shielded enemies?
A49: Shield breaking (breaking the Abyss Mage's bubbles or the Hilichurl shields): Hydro breaks Pyro, Pyro breaks Cryo, Cryo/Dendro breaks Hydro, Claymore/Geo breaks Geo, Pyro breaks Dendro.
Fatui: Cryo breaks Electro, Electro breaks Hydro, Hydro breaks Pyro, Pyro breaks Cryo, Claymore/Geo breaks Geo.
Q50: What is critical hit?
A50: CRIT DMG refers to the additional damage dealt by your attacks. CRIT Rate refers to the probability of landing critical hit with each attack. Therefore, the higher your CRIT Rate, the greater the chance of dealing additional damage when you land a critical hit. The higher your CRIT DMG, the more significant the additional damage inflicted when you land a critical hit.
Q51: What is Elemental Mastery?
A51: The higher a character's Elemental Mastery value, the stronger their ability to unleash Elemental damage.
Increasing a character's Elemental Mastery directly enhances the damage of their corresponding elemental attacks and elemental reactions. It does not affect physical damage.
Q52: What do the different colored damage numbers mean in battles?
A52: Genshin Impact has eight different colors for damage numbers: white represents physical damage, while the other seven colors represent elemental damage of their respective elements.
Q53: How to locate enemy during battles?
A53: During battles, a red arrow will appear on the left or right side of the screen, indicating enemies’ location.
Q54: How to improve my terribly low DMG?
A51: If your damage is insufficient in the early stages, you can self-assess in following two ways:
①. Is there a level gap of over 5 between your character and the enemy? If your character is more than 5 levels lower than the enemy, consider leveling up your character. During the leveling up, if your Adventure Rank increases, it is recommended to avoid triggering World Level Ascension quests and keep the enemies in the world at a level your character can handle. Once your character's level is sufficient to face higher-level enemies, then proceed with World Level Ascension.
②. Are you making effective use of elemental reactions?
If not, practice elemental reactions more strategically.
If your character is at the same level as or even higher than the enemy, and you are already making good use of elemental reactions, but the damage is still lacking, try upgrading the talents, weapons, and artifacts of your main DPS. This can effectively boost damage output.

= Serenitea Pot=
Q55: How can I quickly level up Adeptal Energy Rank in Serenitea Pot?
A55:
1. Upgrade Trust Rank:
To quickly increase the Trust Rank of Serenitea Pot in the early stages, you must create new furnishings. Please note that duplicating existing furnishings will not accumulate Trust Points.
①. Tubby, at Trust Rank 1 to 4, will reward you with 10 Vials of Adeptal Speed for each rank (you can immediately craft new furnishings with them).
②. Realm Depot allows you to purchase 5 Vials of Adeptal Speed per day (It's recommended to buy them daily, just in case you need them in the future. Once the limit of 99 Vials is reached, you won't be able to purchase more).
Use these Vials of Adeptal Speed to craft new furnishings in the early stages (make sure to search for the tree-cutting route for wood) until you have used up them, by which time your Trust Rank should be around 4.
Obtain furnishing blueprints:
①. Tubby's quests provide most of the blueprints in the early stages, along with some furnishings.
②. The two old men in the open world also sell blueprints.

③. Collect Realm Currency from the Realm Depot daily and purchase blueprints.
④. Remarkable Chest in Tsurumi Island, Inazuma, also contains blueprints.
Increase Adeptal Energy:
Once you have used up the new furnishing blueprints, you will reach around Trust Rank 6 or 7. Then, you can craft certain furnishings like folding screens and stone lions to increase the Adeptal Energy.
Why focus on crafting more folding screens?
Because increasing Adeptal Energy requires placing as many furnishings as possible. However, furnishings need Load, and if the Serenitea Pot is filled with too many items, the Load will be maxed out. Folding screens need low Load and take up less space, and require minimal crafting resources compared to other items. Follow this tip, fill your Pot with folding screens, and watch the Adeptal Energy soar!

It's important to know that the Load of the Serenitea Pot is calculated separately for different spaces. This means that you need to arrange furnishings, pets, and characters both inside and outside the buildings in a reasonable manner to achieve the maximum Adeptal Energy.

When Adeptal Energy reaches 20,000, there will be no more worries about Realm Currency~
Q56: Is it necessary to level up Serenitea Pot if I don't play home building? What other uses does it have?
A56: Even if you don't play Serenitea Pot, I recommend maxing out your Adeptal Energy. The higher your Adeptal Energy, the more Realm Currency you can obtain daily. Realm Currency can be used to purchase rare items from Tubby, such as Transient Resin, Hero's Wit, Mystic Enhancement Ores, Sanctifying Essence, and Sanctifying Unction.

= Genius Invokation TCG =
Q57: What is Genius Invokation TCG? When is it available?
A57: Genius Invokation TCG is unlocked at Adventure Rank 32. To unlock it, players first need to take the quest [Battlefield of Dice, Cats, and Cards]. Q58: How do I use map markers? What's the max number of markers allowed?
A58:
There are a total of six types of markers: monster, exclamation mark, star, food, plant, and mineral.
Markers on the map is very useful. If you come across a Geoculus, you can click on a small icon at the bottom of the map to bring up the marking interface where you can click on various markers for minerals, food, monsters, etc.
The limit for markers is 99. You can collect them by regions. Once you have finished exploring a region, take a screenshot, clear the markers, and move on to the next region for farming. You can also use map tools to display all the markers and cross them off as you collect them. Although it may be a bit troublesome, it still works.
Q59: How to avoid death while short of stamina?
A59: When falling, perform a normal attack just before landing. Alternatively, land on tree branches (this is kinda tricky).
Q60: Not enough stamina during early exploration?
A60:
Go the longest distance: Try not to use sprint while climbing and hold the sprint while tapping direction keys in swimming.
For taller characters, keep jumping while running will be the fastest and most stamina-efficient method (not recommended for mobile players).
Additionally, make good use of character talents that reduce stamina consumption (only listing those that reduce stamina).

Q61: Do character's height serve any practical purpose?
A61:
1. Differences in height are also important when running, traversing certain terrains, or at certain times!
2. Taller characters run faster, so it's best to use a taller character for open world exploration.
3. Taller characters may not be able to pass through some places, but shorter characters can.
4. In Spiral Abyss Floor 7, there's a sniper enemy who won't be able to hit you if your height is shorter than its barrel.
Q62: How can I become the fastest in Genshin Impact?
A62:
Common formula: Fastest character + two Anemo characters (10% movement speed, 15% stamina consumption reduction) + Support with speed-boosting talent/weapon
For example, Kaeya with Skyrider Sword (movement speed bonus), paired with two Anemo characters and Rosaria (10% movement speed at night 18:00 – 6:00), and consume a dish like Barbatos Ratatouille, and you'll become the “Wind God”.
Talk to Vind in Stormbearer Point, Mondstadt, to obtain Barbatos Ratatouille.
Q63: How can I fly up in place?
A63: Three Anemograna will activate the Wind Current to lift you up.
Collect Mondstadt's Anemograna or use Anemo character’s elemental skill.
Collect Dragonspine’s Anemograna (some also call them Cryograna). Use Cryo character’s elemental skill.
Q64: Any tips for reaching high Anemo/Geo/Electro/Dendro-culus?
A64: Aside from jumping from higher ground, using Anemograna/Wind Catcher (a reputation reward), the following characters can help you reach greater heights.

Get all the Anemo/Geo/Electro/Dendro-culus in your pocket with Keqing/Venti + Zhongli!
Q65: Do I get rewards for talking to new NPCs during exploration? Which NPCs should I not miss?
A65:
It is said that talking to various NPCs will increase the chances of hidden achievement quests appearing in Daily Commissions. Some NPCs also offer rewards in dialogue. For example:
l In Liyue Harbor, there is an NPC named Chen the Sharp. Talking to him will reward you with a Dark Iron Sword. Currently, you cannot obtain this sword other way, so make sure to keep it and not use it as fodder. Tips: This sword is more of a collectible item and doesn't have high combat effectiveness.

l Near the Stone Gate, there is an NPC named Carpe Diem. Talking to him will grant you the only 2-star Berserker (Artifact) in the game.

Q66: Do I need to complete Dragonspine quest before going to Liyue for the first time?
A66: It's not necessary. The quests in Dragonspine can be challenging for lower-level players. You can just go explore and unlock Liyue from Stone Gate. When your characters are leveled up enough to handle the challenges in Dragonspine, you can return and complete the quests there. It will not be late.

Q67: How can I make use of the Statue of The Seven?
A67: The first time you use the Statue, adjust the healing effect from the default 50% to 100%. The Statue have a HP cap, and once it is reached, the Statue can only revive but cannot heal characters.
Q68: How can I prevent enemies from knocking me off a cliff?
A68: As long as you keep using normal attacks while standing on cliffs, platforms, or towers, no enemy can knock you off.
Q69: Are ATK-boosting food items effective?
A69: When facing a tough enemy in domain, consume food that increases your ATK. At level 70, a character's base ATK is around 200. Having a Adeptus' Temptation will grant you over 300 additional ATK, equivalent to half the ATK of a maxed-out 5-star weapon.
Q70: Are there hidden chests in main quests and story quest? Can I go back to collect them if I missed them?
A70: Try to find them all. Story cannot rewind, so if you miss it, you won't be able to go back and collect the chests.
Q71: How can I cancel the attack recovery animation?
A71: The recovery animation refers to the actions that occur after completing an attack, such as retracting your weapon. You cannot immediately perform the next attack during this animation. You can cancel it by using normal attacks, jumping, sprinting, or switching characters.
Q72: What should I do if dropped reward falls into the water and I can't pick it up?
A72:
1. Stand at a high point and perform a plunging attack and pick them up (not suitable for mobile device).
2. Teleport back to this place, and the drop will automatically refresh on the water's surface.
3. Moving away from the rewards can also trigger the refresh.
4. Anemo characters' enemy gathering skills can also pull the drops towards you (it is said that the wind created by Qiqi’s idle status can work too).
Q73: Which characters are recommended for defeating Timmie's pigeons?
A73:
1. Anemo traveler can stand at the bridgehead, face the pigeons, and use Elemental Burst.
2. Xiao with Sucrose and Amber to fly over from the Skyfrost Nail and perform a plunging attack.
3. Diluc can use Elemental Skill for easy defeat.
4. Sucrose's Elemental Skill can beat all.
5. Yelan can shoot one arrow to defeat all and is currently the fastest method.
Q74: Can I "one-click" to pick up dropped items?
A74: For mobile players, you can click on an empty space to pick up dropped items with a single click.
Q75: Are there still chests to find after reaching 100% exploration progress?
A75: Even if your exploration progress reaches 100%, there are still chests to be found. Some Common and Exquisite Chests will refresh (but no more Primogems will be given). Additionally, in future updates, there may be new chests added to existing areas.
Q76: I'm tired of waiting for the clock hands to move when adjusting the time. How to instantly jump to a specific time?
A76:
l For mobile users: While adjusting the time, press confirm and an empty space to instantly jump to the adjusted time, without waiting for the clock hands to move for ages!
l For PC users: When adjusting the time, click on confirm, then quickly click on an empty space to the left and press ESC. If the clock sound keeps ringing for a long time, you can open the time interface or the map (teleport to a distant location) to get it done!
