I usually like to keep my coop option as 'Auto-Accept' so select friends can come in whenever (especially useful whenever I want to2x EXP, which involve many joins).
Unfortunately, the game doesn't really discriminate between people I actually permit to join whenever, to random coop joins (despite my persistence to suggest said improvement to miHoYo).
So what do I do when said 'random join' occur right in the middle while I'm doing something important? (typically during my free fodder routine , where timing is important as to not upset next day's reset).
I have to 'force eject' the forced coop mode by teleporting to my teapot (because I can't just close the 'force join' mode the moment it slipped in & happened).
(Or perhaps your coop friend got disconnected in the middle, leaving your world stuck in 'coop mode'. This trick might be useful too.)
*If the error still persist (you're stuck in coop mode and game refuses to return to single more despite having gone to teapot and back, then relogging and back), go to Setting > Resources > Verify File Integrity.
