We made our way to Spina de Rosula base to sleep in a peaceful place. Paimon mentioned the book she wants to buy next morning.
Next morning, Isadora came to us and informed us that Monsieur Neuvillette wants to meet us in Palace Mermonia to discuss something in person.
We went to Neuvillette's office. He told us about his latest talk with Furina about Arlecchino's diplomatic meeting. Neuvillette suggested refusing the meeting, but Furina thought otherwise. Furina wanted Neuvillette to go alone on that meeting, but he asked when he actually agreed to go on that meeting in a first place. That made Furina nervous, and she begged Neuvillette to go to with her jumping around him everywhere. That was hilarious.
Then the meeting happen, and Arlecchino was introduced as 4th Fatui Harbinger, and the soundtrack in the back is indeed the same as for the House of the Hearth from the trial. I expected something more dramatic. Let's see how the tea party is going.
Arlecchino seems to be nice at first glance. She is thankful that children from the House of the Hearth are well-cared by Furina, except Lyney and Lynette false accusation. Later she requested giving Childe to the Fatui. When Neuvillette disagreed, she requested seeing Childe. Then Neuvillette had a proposal for her.
The scene came back to Neuvillette talking with Traveler. Neuvillette suggested that Furina acted unnatural around the Knave, so Paimon suggested she might be threatened by her.
Neuvillette told us that the situation about Childe couldn't be resolved by letting Arlecchino see him or anything because he actually disappeared from the Fortress. Neuvillette wanted us to investigate his disappearance. Our mission is to check what happened and report to her back.
It is important to know that the Fortress is not exactly the prison. It is an autonomous entity. Criminals are not imprisoned, they are actually exiled.
Neuvillette knows Fortress director, so he needs us as a third party. He suggested arranging false charges against us to help us get in there and investigate. Then he asked us if we agree, which we said yes. Then he suggested us to have a good meal and a bath cuz that might be harder in the Fortress. He also gave us a cake.
When we went to the Café, Charlotte noticed us. She was looking for some new material and when she saw there is nothing interesting with us, and she overheard something about the Fortress, she asked us if we are going to bring her some stories from there. She offered to pay for our meal for that, then Paimon agreed on an instant.
After the meal we went behind the Opera, to that... Guillotine, where Neuvillette was waiting for us. It supposed to be the entrance to the Fortress.
We took the lift down and proceed with the required procedures. Turned out that we were sentenced for eating a cake, and the sentence is... 45 days? This is even more hilarious.
We had a mugshot taken, then we were taken on an aquabus to the main part of the Fortress. Deakin is like Charon. Anyway, why everyone here is so... not nice?
