Honkai Patch 7.3 Beta - Coralie Valkyrie Blastmetal Guide

Introduction

Valkyrie Blastmetal: Coralie

[Valkyrie Blastmetal] is the new Coralie Battle-suit added in version 7.3 and provided to players for free.

Coralie is an A rank PSY-type Fire DMG character that is protected by Astral Ring: Rite of Oblivion.

Coralie uses the new "Hammer" type weapon in combat to smash her enemies.

While she is currently one of the core members to the Senadina Coralie Helia team, she additionally has some universal support capabilities. In the "Trio" team she is able to use her resonance ability to trigger the resonance of the other two teammates dealing extreme amounts of damage.

How to Obtain

You will be glad to know that she's free and you won't be needing to Gacha for her.

Due to being an A-rank Valkyrie there are several ways to rank her up including Patch 7.3 Events!

  • Starting on the reset after her release she will be added to the Asterite Shop. You may buy 25 fragments per week.

Fragments in the Asterite Shop

You can get her fragments from Open world tasks.

Open world quests

Hundred Years of Solitary Shadow chapter rewards ( 40 fragments )

Main Story event reward examples

  • There are events featured in version 7.3 that reward her fragments at least 30!

Event rewards

Spending Event

You can also aim to get up to 250 fragments from the spending event if you don't need the ELF box.

Character Mechanics

Toughness / Fortitude

Toughness Description.

Updated for English Description:

Although this is currently not needed in content I feel I should explain it anyway.

"Some enemies have a Fortitude bar, enemy cannot be interrupted until you break the Fortitude bar.

Attacking the enemy will reduce it's toughness. Coralie's abilities reduce it even faster.

It's essentially the new "shield" mechanic for part 2, you need to evade or jump certain attacks to damage toughness bars. Coralie is unique as the only character currently able to directly reduce it with her abilities.

Hammering Feel.

5 Stacks of Hammering Feel on Coralie

As long as you aren't In Stellar Outburst with Quantum Mech Energy you can gain Hammering Feel from different methods.

  1. Landing QTE provides you with 2 Hammering Feel.
  2. You start the fight with 2 Hammering Feel ( S rank ).
  3. SEQ. 1-2 of Basic ATK gives 1 Hammering Feel.
  4. SEQ. 3 of Basic ATK gives 2 Hammering Feel.
  5. Triggering Ultimate Evasion gives 1 Hammering Feel.

Hammering Feel stacks up to 5 times and can be used to enhance her weapon active and give powerful buffs to the team.

Abilities

Astral Ring

5 Quantum Mech energy

Unleash Astral Ring's power to enhance the characters.

Coralie is protected by Astral Ring: Rite of Oblivion.

Total DMG is increased by 15% when Astral Ring is active. Upon entering Stellar Outburst state, release Stellar Assault to deal Fire DMG and replace her Hammering Feel with 5 Quantum Mech energy.

When she has Quantum Mech energy, weapon-enhanced attacks consume 1 stack to deal additional damage.

During Stellar Outburst, she can repeatedly trigger aerial weapon enhanced attack and attack faster after using weapon skill in the air. She gains 1 level of Ignore Interrupt. When she has Quantum Mech energy, she cannot gain Hammering Feel.

If Stellar Outburst ends and she still has Quantum Mech Energy, it will be replaced by Hammering Feel.

Coralie aerial weapon enhanced attack

With Astral Ring activated, characters protected by it gain 16% Total DMG.

With Astral Ring: World Star activated, bonus DMG dealt by Coralie at the cost of Quantum Mech energy is considered a Resonance Attack.

Gains Stellar Drain when Stellar Outburst ends. A serious Hammering consumes Stellar Drain and restores 20 Astral Ring Intensity. Gains Stellar Drain when entering battle. This can only be triggered every 10 minutes in Part 2 open world.

Unlocks at S Rank:

When entering Stellar Outburst, give the team 3 stacks of Let it Burn.

Inflict Serious breakdown on enemies causing them to take more Total DMG.

During Stellar Outburst, increase the effects of Let it Burn and Serious Breakdown by 20%

Notes:

Alot of her passives require Astral Ring: World Star, thus you should use Senadina as the leader.

Leader Skill

Setting Coralie as Leader will activate the Astral Ring System.

The ELF skill will be replaced with Stellar Outburst.

Coralie activating Stellar Outburst.

Leader Skill: When she is the leader, activates Astral Ring Specialization: Rite of Oblivion.

Energy Requirement - 150; Duration 25 Seconds, cooldown 25 seconds.

Activate Astral Ring Specalization: Rite of Oblivion and unlock enhanced skill based on the number of team members protected by any Astral Ring.

  • When the team has 1 member protected by any Astral Ring:

Increases team Total DMG by 6% / 9% / 12% ( A Rank / SS Rank / SSS Rank )

  • When the team has 2 members protected by any Astral Ring:

Team deals 6% / 9% / 12% more Physical and Elemental DMG. ( A Rank / SS Rank / SSS Rank )

  • When the team has 3 members protected by any Astral Ring:

All enemies take 3% / 4.5% / 6% more Total DMG. ( A Rank / SS Rank / SSS Rank )

Notes:

Currently there is no reason to use her as the leader, this may change in the future but for now use Senadina leader.

Passives

Basic ATK / Weapon skill example

Connect Basic ATK and weapon skill freely.

Coralie will not reset Basic ATK sequence while connecting weapon skills and Basic ATK.

Her attacks reduce additional Fortitude on hit.

While Astral Ring is active, Ultimate cooldown is reduced by 20 seconds.

Unlocks at S Rank:

Consuming Hammering Feel or landing QTE grants a stack of "Let it Burn" for all team members and 8% bonus Total DMG for characters with "Let it Burn" 3 stacks max. Duration: 25 seconds. Retriggering refreshes duration.

Unlocks at S rank:

Increases Total DMG and Total DMG against shields by 20%

Unlocks at SSS rank:

Team Max HP increases by 500, unaffected by Max HP percent increases.

Notes:

You honestly don't often use her Basic ATK.

Let it Burn buff is pretty great with a really long duration.

Evasion

Coralie Evasion Examples.

Evade or Jump to dodge enemy attacks, You can evade twice in a row on the ground and have up to one charge of evade or jump in the air. Jumping in the air resets the aerial evasion counter.

When Coralie successfully performs an Ultimate Leap, the Ultimate Evasion skill will be triggered.

Ultimate Evasion Skill: Load 1 Hammering Feel and trigger 2 seconds of Global Time Fracture.

Unlocks at S rank:

For 4 seconds after triggering Ultimate Evasion skill, increase Fire DMG dealt by weapon skills and Combo ATK by 30%

Weapon Skills

Coralie Weapon sequence

Perform stronger attacks with Rocket Hammer's propulsion.

Tap Weapon when on the ground or in the air to launch a basic attack, if she has Hammering Feel then consume one stack to enhance this attack.

Ground: Increases homing ability.

Air: Pulls nearby enemies, Increased Ignore Interrupt.

Weapon Enhanced ATK restores 100 HP, also restores for team upon consuming Quantum Mech Energy.

Unlocks at SS Rank:

When consuming Hammering Feel, Weapon skill deals 60% ATK of bonus Fire DMG.

Combo Attack

connecting into Combo ATK

Aerial attacks can be connected into Combo ATK.

After using Aerial Basic ATK or weapon enhanced attack tap weapon to connect into Combo ATK.

If she has Hammering Feel, consume it to change the attack to "A Serious Hammering"

It deals bonus damage and pulls enemies, considered both weapon skill and Combo ATK damage.

Gain a stack of Flaming for each Hammering Feel consumed, stacking up to 5 times.

Consumes the count when "A Serious Hammering" hits, restoring 4 SP each stack.

Also deals bonus Fire DMG.

Unlocks at SSS Rank:

When "A Serious Hammering" or Ultimate hits an enemy, inflicts Serious Breakdown on the enemy increasing their Total DMG taken by 15% for 25 seconds. Retriggering will refresh the duration.

Ultimate

Coralie Ultimate

Use the rocket hammer to propel into enemies before causing an explosion.

Her Ultimate can only be used on the ground. When used she jumps onto her hammer and flies into enemies.

While she is charging mash the Ultimate button to help her charge and increase the damage.

After using Ultimate, her next ground Basic ATK or weapon skill will have better homing ability.

Using Ultimate restores 3 Astral Ring Intensity, her Ultimate has a 30 second cooldown.

Increases Fire DMG by 40% During Ultimate each tap on the button increases Fire DMG dealt by ultimate by 20%.

This will stack up to 3 times.

Unlocks at SS Rank:

When Ultimate is cast, It counts as consuming 3 stacks of Hammering Feel.

Notes:

Sleep in Peace seems to have the same effect at level 1.

At SS rank, you can skip her opening rotation by casting Ultimate before the enemy spawns

This lets you take advantage of ultimate being considered as consuming 3 stacks of Hammering Feel.

Other times, you opt to not use her ultimate at all if you already have 3 stacks of Hammering Feel.

Basic Attack

Basic ATK SEQ 3

Tap weapon on the ground to perform up to 3 SEQ of basic attack.

Gain 1 stack of Hammering Feel upon landing a basic attack.

The third sequence will knock enemies airborne and give a bonus Hammering Feel.

Tap ATK in the air to knock enemies to the ground.

QTE:

Triggered when enemy is time-slowed or has been hit 15 times within 3 seconds.

Restores 2 Hammering feel, after QTE tap weapon to perform aerial Weapon Enhanced ATK.

Unlocks at S Rank:

Reduces Total DMG taken by 30% and gain 2 initial stacks of Hammering Feel.

notes:

Her QTE is normally very important, it allows you to swap in with 2 stacks of Hammering Feel, then use her Enhanced ATK.

The S rank is quite important for her, it will let you start your rotation with her in some scenarios removing the need to QTE.

Team Lineups

Coralie Main Team!

This is the team that you will be using almost all the time in Abyss, It has heavy synergy between all the members and it allows you to take advantage of her kit and Astral Ring abilities.

Well what about other teams?

She can be used as a general support for characters in part 1, but she won't be replacing anyone as the new best in slot.

Think of her as a "transitional" support that has potential to situationally work well in specific situations.

Her lack of Ignite for example does negatively affect her overall performance in teams with Part 1 characters currently.

If you are a new player that's lacking other supports though then Coralie can work well for you since you get her fully geared.

How to play

Now that we have gone over her abilities it's time to go over an example of how you would rotate in a team.

Her rotation is very simple, playing like any other support but taking up field time and contributing DPS.

  1. Trigger her QTE with Time-Slow or fast attacks ( 15 in 3 seconds )
  2. Press Weapon Active 2 times.
  3. Use her Ultimate (Optional)
  4. Switch out

Rotation Example

Weapon Rundown

Blast Hammer: Blazing Red is the signature signature weapon for Coralie, it is given to players for free in patch 7.3.

Blast Hammer: Blazing Red

Stop, Hammer Time

Weapon First Passive

Her first passive increases her own Fire DMG and boosts the damage and range of "A Serious Hammering"

This is a nice passive increasing her personal DPS so she is able to contribute in that way during her field time.

Weapon Second Passive

Her next passive is where we get to the good stuff, it increases the total damage taken by enemies with a 25 second duration.

This passive can stack up to 3 times assuming you use your Weapon Active thrice for a total of 18%

Retriggering will refresh the duration (exclusive)

When she enters Stellar Outburst she will inflict 3 stacks of Vulnerability on all enemies removing the need to use Ultimate.

Overall, her signature weapon is Quite important for her

  • It's free, since everyone will have it you will be behind if you try to use something else.
  • It not only improves her own damage but de-buffs helping the teams damage output as a whole.
  • When she enters Stellar Outburst, you inflict 3 stacks of Vulnerability on all enemies saving you precious time.

Weapon Synergy

As an A rank, Coralie's Weapon Synergy will be farmable through the Asterite Shop.

You can buy 1 per week

This is the start of a large Asterite Sink.

You can purchase 1 per week for 30,000 Asterite

You then can use 4 to craft the following

Coralie Mod Box

After successfully crafting it, you can use it to increase the weapon synergy.

Synergy 2 F2P BTW

Of course, you will need one more making the total Asterite cost 240k Asterite and 8 week timegate.

Hey, I'm not complaining, I'm quite thrilled that we can get it without spending crystals, just be aware of the cost!

The differences of each Synergy

Above I have recorded the total stat gains for each Synergy on her weapon.

You may be asking yourself, is this really worth that much Asterite?

I will do a damage comparison and allow you to choose for yourself in the following section.

Damage Comparison

Blast Hammer: Blazing Red (S1)

Blast Hammer: Blazing Red (S2)

Blast Hammer: Blazing Red (S3)

Overall:

Blazing Red S1 - 30,063,424 Damage

Blazing Red S2 - 30,223,680Damage

Blazing Red S3 - 30,724,544 Damage

As you can see the increase isn't huge so if you are new and have something better to spend your Asterite on feel free to do so.

Keep in mind that there's an 8 week time-gate for when you do decide to start investing into it.

If you are a more competitive player, or don't have anything else to spend your Asterite on then of course you should invest in it.

Stigmata

Tsiolkovsky is the signature Stigmata set for Coralie, it is given to players for free in patch 7.3 so let's look into what it does!

Tsiolkovsky Overview

Tsiolkovsky T

Increases Fire DMG by 20%

After QTE hits restore 10 SP ( 12s CD )

When used by Coralie restore 6 more SP.

Tsiolkovsky M

Increases Total DMG by 20%

Eternal Dream additionally increases team Elemental DMG by 16%.

Tsiolkovsky B

Each time the character uses a weapon skill, the next ultimate will deal 10% more Fire DMG up to 50%.

Eternal Dream additionally increases the teams Physical DMG by 12%

2 Set Bonus

Enemies hit by Ultimate or attacks in burst mode take 12% more Total DMG for 25s.(Retriggering refreshes duration + exclusive)

When used by Coralie, additionally increases Total DMG taken by enemies by 15% when Astral Ring is activated.

The effect will be applied to all enemies when you enter Stellar Outburst.

Reduces Total DMG taken by 20%

3 Set Bonus

Using Weapon skills grant the team Eternal Dream increasing their Total DMG by 15% for 15 seconds.

Triggering it again extends the duration by 15 seconds, up to 30 seconds. ( exclusive )

When used by Coralie while Astral Ring is active, Astral Ring buffs on characters increase by an additional 100% and entering Stellar Outburst gives all teammates Eternal Dream effect. The effect duration is also extended to 30 seconds.

Notes:

She has a really strong Stigmata set, you won't need to worry about the priority to upgrade as they will come at lvl 50.

I find this part "Increases the teams Physical DMG" to be intriguing since it could be proper foreshadowing.

The Two Set Bonus is quite strong causing enemies to take more Total DMG for an extended period of time.

The Three Set Bonus is amazing, giving an easy to trigger team buff for an extremely long duration, then doubling down on it by well... providing 100% additional Astral Ring buffs while Astral Ring is active and giving the team Astral Dream.

Affixes

Coralie doesn't have any SP issues as a support nor do you use her ultimate that often. You would rather build her offensively because she's contributing to the overall damage but she doesn't have enough multi hits to want Fire DMG.

This means your only remaining option is to run 6 ATK Damage Affixes - All Six Attack lines to increase her damage, which will be the best choice.

Rank Up Guide

First things first, we discuss what it takes to rank her up in the first place.

Rank Up Costs

Unlock:

She's given out free, but if you choose to unlock her with fragments it will cost 30.

A to S rank: 50 Fragments

S to SS Rank: 100 Fragments

SS Rank to SSS Rank: 200 Fragments

Unlocked Skills

Next, we will cover what she has to gain from her various rank-ups before discussing the DPS gain.

S Rank

Stat Gains for S rank

Increases the Level of "Strong Enemies Ahead" - Consuming Hammering Feel or landing QTE grants a stack of "Let it Burn" for all team members and 6% -> 8% bonus Total DMG for characters with "Let it Burn" 3 stacks max. Duration: 25 seconds.

Unlock Skill: Opening Hammer - Increases Total DMG by 20% and Total DMG against shields by 20%

Unlock Skill: Hammering Frenzy - Reduces Total DMG taken by 30%, gains 2 initial stacks of Hammering Feel.

Unlock Skill: Escape Route - For 4s after triggering Ultimate Evasion Skill, Increases Fire DMG dealt by weapon and combo skills by 30%. Retriggering refreshes duration.

Unlock Skill: Gimme Everything - When entering Stellar Outburst, give team 3 stacks of Let it Burn and inflict Serious Breakdown on enemies, During Stellar Outburst the effects of Let it Burn and Serious Breakdown will be increased by 20%.

Notes:

I would consider S-Rank the "base" rank to aim for not only does it unlock the core mechanics of her kit but due to the free fragments from events you should get it quite easily anyway.

SS Rank

Stat Gain for SS

Increases the Total damage provided to the team from Leader skill from 6% to 9%

Increases the Physical and Elemental Damage provided to the team from Leader skill 6% to 9%

Increases the effect of Leader skill, enemies take 3% more Total DMG to 4.5% more Total DMG.

Increases the level of "Don't Thank Me" - When consuming Hammering Feel, Weapon Skill deals 45% -> 60% ATK of Bonus Fire DMG.

Unlock Skill: Sleep In Peace - When Ultimate is cast, counts as consuming 3 stacks of Hammering Feel.

Notes:

This is a welcomed Rank-up that lets you start the fight with her ultimate and get the buff faster!

Everything else is self damage buffs which is nice, but not large enough to make a big increase.

In terms of damage output it's essentially the same as S rank because you currently don't use her as leader.

SSS Rank

Stat gain for SSS

Increases the Total damage provided to the team from Leader skill from 9% to 12%

Increases the Physical and Elemental Damage provided to the team from Leader skill 9% to 12%

Increases the effect of Leader skill, enemies take 4.5% more Total DMG to 6% more Total DMG.

Increases the level of "Weakspot Hammering" - When "A Serious Hammering" or Ultimate hits an enemy inflict Serious Breakdown on the enemy increasing their Total Damage taken by 11.5% -> 15% for 25 seconds. Retriggering refreshes duration.

Unlock Skill: Team Max HP increases by 500. This is not affected by max HP % increase.

Note:

The max HP increase is interesting to have here.

This rank is essentially 3.5% more TDM Taken.

Damage Comparison

The same rotation was used across each field test and you may see the rotation under the "Damage Comparison" in Weapon.

Keep in mind this was done against a Stardust enemy which may skew the results to focus on Senadina's damage.

A Rank - 80,428,096 Damage

S Rank - 80,459,196 Damage

SS Rank - 80,481,188 Damage

SSS Rank - 80,536,736 Damage

Summary

S Rank - Coralie's Core Rank, unlocks most of her kit.

SS Rank - Adds more Utility, Ultimate can give full buff stacks.

SSS Rank - Team Max HP? and 3.5% tdm debuff

Overall, in terms of damage across the various ranks it was roughly the same in my research.

Instead, what she gained was utility effects such as shieldbreak and an easier time and more ways to apply buffs and debuffs.

Her rankups don't translate well to raw damage comparisons.

Gameplay

This gameplay is not indicative of the maximum potential score , it is just for fun to showcase her playstyle.

Handel was also used on Senadina to lower the DPS output for a better showcase!

Stats

A rank

Coralie at A rank stats.

SSS rank

Coralie at SSS Rank Stats

Review~

Pros

  • She's farmable and given out free
  • Her gear is free and Stigmata already level 50
  • She doesn't have a Pri-arm so she's also cheap
  • New Players will have someone to help them in Elysian Realm
  • She's a universal support, although more focused on being paired with Senadina and Helia.
  • She has mechanics to deal with toughness.
  • Very new player friendly with an easy rotation.

Cons

  • She's not so good in Part 1 teams
  • Sometimes using her Ultimate in Rotation is a DPS loss.
  • She doesn't have any TF.
  • We don't know how the "Toughness" Mechanic will do in terms of appearing in Abyss or Memorial Arena.

Thoughts

You get her for free and her gear for free, I highly recommend everyone investing into her even if you don't have or plan to get Senadina, she could possibly work well with future characters and all it takes is 12.5k Asterite per week for her fragments!

Closing

That's all for this guide~ I hope this helped!

Thanks to everyone that follows or leaves a like I really appreciate it!
