BUDGET JEAN GUIDE
SUMMARY
Jean is a 5-Star Sword Support character who provides great Burst healing! Since she has low field time and can hold 4pc VV (for RES Shred), she is a great unit to slot into any general healer role for your team. Alternatively, she can be played with Bennett in a "Sunfire" team, where her main focus is Swirl DMG and enabling Pyro reactions like Melt, Vaporize, or Overloaded
TALENT & ASCENSION MATERIALS
If you're using Jean for Sunfire (with Bennett), it's highly recommended to level her up to 90 since she would mainly deal Swirl DMG. You can also opt to level her up to 80/90 for additional Healing Bonus

Artifact Sets
- 4pc Viridescent Venerer is the best option for her in most cases
- However, if someone else on the team is already holding this set, a Support Jean can equip 4pc Noblesse Oblige or 4pc Ocean-Hued Clam instead.
Main Stat & Substats
- Sunfire Jean only needs EM and ER to work well!
- ATK % Sands is generally the more popular pick, but if you're using an ATK % Weapon and don't have a method of getting her Burst back easily, an ER Sands can also work here
- ATK % Goblet and Healing Bonus Circlets can be used to increase Jean's healing further if you choose
- Instead, you can opt for a Anemo DMG Goblet and CRIT Circlet for Jean to deal more personal damage
WEAPON OPTIONS
- Generally, weapons that help Jean get her Burst back are great
- Favonius Sword - Requires building CRIT Rate, but can also provide the team with Energy
- Amenoma Kageuchi - ATK % Weapon with a Passive that helps with ER!
- Fleuve Cendre Ferryman (Fontaine's Fishable Weapon), Festering Desire (Event Weapon), Skyward Blade, Sapwood Blade (Craftable, Passive is useless for Jean)
- Other ATK % Weapons - Okay options if you're using an ER Sands, but doesn't have amazing Passives for Jean
- The Flute, Finale of the Deep, Lion's Roar, Aquila Favonia (high Base ATK)
- EM Weapons for Sunfire Jean - Iron Sting (Craftable), Toukabou Shigure (Event)
TEAM COMPS
- Jean is a great healer in any team that likes VV Shred! Her Burst heal works especially great with Furina
- Sunfire Jean - Bennett and Jean Bursts together have high Pyro application on enemies, making it great for reactions! Any team that relies on Vaporize, Overloaded, or Melt can work as the 2 remaining slots
- She can also be used to battery Xiao and her C4 can be valuable in Anemo DPS teams
Notes:
- Weapon options in my budget guides exclude weapons that are only obtainable from the weapon banner.
- This makes the Budget Guide friendlier to newer players, F2Ps, and low spenders.
- Materials for ascending the character to level 80/80 & talent levels 1 / 8 / 8
- In terms of purple XP books alone, you'd be saving 172 XP books (419 to 90/90 compared to 247 to 80/80). That's enough XP books to level up a different character to level 70! This aspect of the Budget Guides is friendly to players who may have less resources.
- It also potentially frees up resin that may be spent on leylines to farm artifacts instead
