BUDGET DILUC GUIDE
SUMMARY
Diluc is a 5-Star Diluc on-field DPS character who works in Vaporize or Melt teams, but can alternatively be played in Mono Pyro and Burgeon teams

Artifact Sets
- 4pc Crimson Witch is the best all-around set for Diluc. Alternatively, 4pc Gilded Dreams can be used
- 4pc Lavawalker's can work in Mono Pyro teams
- You can also opt for a flexible 2pc Set Mix between: 2pc Crimson Witch, 2pc ATK, and 2pc EM
- If you plan on using Diluc on a team with Furina, 4pc Marechaussee Hunter can be an option
Main Stat & Substats
- ATK % Sands preferred if Bennett isn't on the team or if you are using an EM Weapon. EM Sands is a bit better in reactionary team comps
- Can build full EM in Burgeon teams
WEAPON OPTIONS
- Serpent Spine is generally one of the best 4-Star Claymore options for DPS characters
- Rainslasher, Mailed Flower (Event), or Bloodtainted Greatsword (3-Star!) can work if you're looking for an EM Weapon option for Vaporize/Melt and Burgeon teams
- ATK % Weapons - Can be used but isn't as valuable if Bennett is on the team - Wolf's Gravestone, Prototype Archaic (Craftable), and Luxurious Sea-Lord (Event)
- Blackcliff Slasher can be used as a CRIT DMG stat stick, but isn't worth purchasing from the Shop if you don't own it
TEAM COMPS
- Vaporize and Melt - Need either 1 Hydro or 1 Cryo character, while the remaining 2 slots are relatively Flexible
- Hydro for Vaporize - Xingqiu, Yelan, Furina.
- Cryo for Melt - Rosaria, Kaeya are main options. Diona or Layla can be added as a 2nd Cryo slot for comfort
- Flex - Can be Anemo VV holder, Bennett to buff ATK, a second Hydro/Cryo applicator, or one of the below options:
- Zhongli for his strong shield and RES Shred. He can also be paired with Albedo or Chiori for Geo Resonance
- Fischl or Fischl + Beidou to create an Overvape team
- Xianyun - On top of her ability to heal and hold VV, she enables Plunge Attacks, making good use of his high Plunge multipliers
- Mono Pyro - Pyro / Anemo VV / Flex (Bennett or Shielder)
- Off-field Pyro - Xiangling, Dehya, Thoma
- Burgeon - Dendro / Hydro / Flex (second Off-field Hydro, Bennett, or Shielder)
- Dendro - Dendro Traveler, Nahida, Yaoyao, Baizhu, Collei
- Off-field Hydro - Xingqiu, Yelan, Kokomi, Ayato
Notes:
- Weapon options in my budget guides exclude weapons that are only obtainable from the limited (weapon) banner.
- With the addition of Chronicled Wish, this means some Weapon Banner exclusive weapons were added to Chronicle Wishd as well, but these weapons are still considered "limited" for the purposes of these guides
- The rationale behind this is that the Chronicled Wish banner has the same duration as a normal banner and uses precious Intertwined Fates.
- This makes the Budget Guide friendlier to newer players, F2Ps, and low spenders.
- Materials for ascending the character to level 80/90 (for additional CRIT DMG) & talent levels 8 / 8 / 8
- In terms of purple XP books alone, you'd be saving 172 XP books (419 to 90/90 compared to 247 to 80/80). That's enough XP books to level up a different character to level 70! This aspect of the Budget Guides is friendly to players who may have less resources.
- It also potentially frees up resin that may be spent on leylines to farm artifacts instead
