BUDGET ALHAITHAM GUIDE

SUMMARY
Alhaitham is a 5-Star Sword on-field DPS character who mainly uses his Elemental Skill to grant him Dendro Infusion and unleash Projection Attacks. Given his role, he is strong in Hyperbloom/Quickbloom and Spread teams

TALENT & ASCENSION MATERIALS
Alhaitham can deal a lot of Spread DMG, which scales off his Character level. Assumed Lv 90 in my infographic with all Talents leveled to 8. If you are low on resources (Mora) after leveling him to 90, upgrading his Skill first would bring him the most benefit

Artifact Sets
- If no one else on your team comp has the 4pc Deepwood Memories set equipped, give it to Alhaitham. However, this set is best utilized by a Support character on the team
- Alhaitham's ideal Artifact Set is 4pc Gilded Dreams as he can benefit from both the ATK % and EM the 4pc set effect provides
- He is also use a more flexible 2pc set mix like 2pc Deepwood (for the Dendro DMG %) / 2pc EM or 2pc EM / 2 pc EM
Main Stat & Substats
- Generally, Alhaitham prefers EM Sands since he deals a good amount of reaction DMG. If you do not have one for him, ATK % can work as well
- Stack more ER (perhaps a weapon and some substats) if you want to Burst more often, but you can build less if you aren't planning to Burst off cooldown

WEAPON OPTIONS
- EM Weapon Options: Iron Sting / Toukabou Shigure - Free (Craftable / limited-time Event) weapon options and generally popular picks
- CRIT Weapon Options:
- Wolf Fang - Battle Pass weapon that increases Skill/Burst DMG as well as CRIT Rate, which is very solid for Alhaitham
- Black Sword (increases NA/CA DMG) / Blackcliff Longsword (increases ATK % after defeating an enemy). Black Sword preferred over Blackcliff Longsword since its passive suits Alhaitham's kit more
- Harbinger of Dawn - Strong 3-Star CRIT weapon option if you can keep him above 90% HP (such as through a shielder or with Kuki Shinobu, for example)
- ER Weapon Options - Helpful if you want to Burst every rotation, but not as recommended as EM/CRIT weapons listed above - Festering Desire, Skyward Blade, Favonius Sword, Sapwood Blade

TEAM COMPS

SPREAD
- Off-Field Electro Applicators (choose 1 or 2) - Kuki Shinobu, Yae Miko, Beidou, Fischl, Raiden Shogun, Lisa
- Flex (choose 1 or 2) - Electro/Dendro Sub-DPS or Support character
- Second Dendro character: Nahida, Baizhu/Yaoyao/Kirara (heals/shield), Dendro Traveler or Collei for Dendro application
- Anemo VV Holder or Grouper: Kazuha, Sucrose, Jean, Sayu, Venti, Lynette
- Other Shielders: Zhongli, Diona, Layla
HYPERBLOOM/QUICKBLOOM
- Electro: Raiden and Kuki Shinobu fill this role really well
- Hydro: Furina / Xingqiu / Yelan for their off-field Hydro application. Kokomi can work as well thanks to her Jellyfish
- Flex:
- If Solo Dendro, the last slot can be another Hydro or Electro character, preferably another off-field applicator
- If Double Dendro, pick whichever Dendro character suits your teams needs
- With Furina, a party-wide healer is recommended to maximize on her buffs

Notes:
- Weapon options in my budget guides exclude weapons that are only obtainable from the weapon banner.
- This makes the Budget Guide friendlier to newer players, F2Ps, and low spenders.
- Materials for ascending the character to level 90/90 & talent levels 8 / 8 / 8
- It can potentially frees up resin that may be spent on talent books to farm artifacts instead
