Good morning Captains! Today we will be looking into the mechanics of the Palatinus Equinox battlesuit. Palatinus Equinox is the first S Rank IMG-type Phys DPS battlesuit introduced in v5.5. Please read below for details, capabilities, and other weapon alternatives.
Palatinus Equinox is a powerful IMG-type Phys DPS character. She is one of the best Physical damage dealers in the game right now. Palatinus Equinox is highly effective against IMG-type bosses because she can directly damage the Nihilus Shell with her ultimate.

✦ Battlesuit overview
Palatinus Equinox is a good all-rounder Physical DPS. She top scores Herrscher of Dominance and Otto Apocalypse in Superstring Dimension. Moreover, she doesn't steal Bright Knight: Excelsis's bosses.
Palatinus Equinox is fairly free-to-play friendly. You have a ton of Physical DPS stigmata to craft these days. If you can only afford her weapon, I would suggest you use Elysia (TB) and whatever strong (M) stigmata piece you have. Or, if you don't have Elysia stigmata set, you can sue Kafka (TM) Mich (B), Marco (TM) Attillia (B), etc... Check the comparison below for further details

- Passive Skill - Aria Palatinus
Palatinus Equinox has a meter above her health bar for a resource called [ICHOR], it maxes at 300 and auto-restores over time. Casting weapon skill restores 50 [ICHOR]. When in Knight Form (On Horse), Palatinus Equinox restores more [ICHOR] when moving. Consume all [ICHOR] by holding the [ATK] button to perform a powerful Charged ATK, please read below for more details.

- Special Attack - Glorious Schariac

When [ICHOR] is full, Palatinus Equinox can perform 2 types of Charged ATK depending on her current form. Hold [ATK] in Guardian Fo**(*ase Form) to cast Equinox Severance which triggers 3s of Global Time Fracture that deals 300%+300%+200%+1200% ATK of Physical DMG.

When Palatinus Equinox is in Knight Form(On Horse) when [ICHOR] is full, she enters [Flash] state. In [Flash] state, hold [ATK] to perform [Sprint]. Sprint deals Nx110% ATK of Physical DMG(N caps at 10). If Palatinus Equinox hits at least one enemy during Sprint, she will perform [Elite Thrust], which deals 800% ATK of Physical DMG. Finally, tap [Evade] to perform [Stomp]. Stomp deals 350% ATK of Phys DMG.

- Evasion Skill - Stealth Mode
CD:15S | TF: 2S
Palatinus Equinox can trigger her evasion skill on-demand when in Guardian Form. Tap [Evade] when evasion skill is not in cooldown to trigger 2 seconds of time fracture and fully restore [ICHOR]. When in Knight form, backward evasion triggers [Defense] and forward evasion triggers [Shield Ram]. Taking hits during [Defense] or hitting enemies with [Shield Ram] deals 120% ATK of Physical DMG and triggers 2 seconds of time fracture.

Palatinus Equinox has 2 types of Basic ATK sequences:
- Knight Form basic attack sequence
- Guardian Form basic attack sequence

Palatinus Equinox's Guardian Form Basic ATK pattern has 4 attack sequences dealing 150%+200%/220%/8x80%/300% ATK of Physical DMG.

Tap the Ultimate ability button to switch into Knight Form. Palatinus Equinox's Knight Form Basic ATK pattern has 4 attack sequences dealing 150%+200%/3x120%/400%/600% ATK of Physical DMG.
- QTE Skill - Symmetry Breaking
Palatinus Equinox QTE can be triggered when an enemy is knocked airborne or time slowed. Tap her icon to deal 1000% ATK of Ice DMG and induce Knight Form.
- Ultimate Skill - Equinox March
SP:100 | CD:20S
Mount the war horse and reach maximum speed to deal massive Physical DMG. At 100 SP or higher, hold the Ultimate ability button to unleash a might blow 2000% ATK of Physical DMG to enemies. All in-game timers are suspended during animation.

Abyss Dominator
Palatinus Equinox | Herrscher of Sentience | Sweet 'n' Spicy
Thanks to the long-duration buffs provided by Sweet 'n' Spicy and Herrscher of Sentience, your main DPS can stay on the field much longer without worrying too much about buffs running out. This is especially useful in Abyss where fights become more extended.

Lightning Empress | Herrscher of Sentience | Palatinus Equinox
Lightning Empress's leader skill offers an excellent starting SP for Palatinus Equinox. If you can manage to drop an SP pack from the boss after using your Herrscher of Sentience's evasion and ultimate ability, you can instantly use your ultimate ability after entry.

Is she a higher priority than Bright Knight: Excelsis? Probably not. However, unlike BKE, she does seem to perform astonishingly well at S0-rank. She is a good all-rounder DPS due to not having any type disadvantage over most enemies. Moreover, her DPS capability is not tied to her ultimate ability, her [Sprint] and [Equinox Severance] skills can both deal incredibly good damage. Unfortunately as of right now, BKE does seem to cover more bosses than Palatinus Equinox.
