She treats every operation in her business with utmost importance and holds funeral ceremonies with highest dignity and respect. Outside of her work, she is known for playing pranks to her childhood friends and a talented poet.

▲PROS: Hu Tao is one of the best Pyro DPS in the game, allowing you to deal massive damage on a single target, thanks to her Charged Attack-centric combos that you can spam. With proper investment, players truly enjoys the damage that she can dish out. Her team configurations are flexible and doesn't rely too much on a single support to boost her damage. Additionally, her kit doesn't have any ICD on them, allowing you to have a continous reactions with ease.
▼CONS: It is a common issue for Hu Tao is her Stamina Consumption. You need to learn some how to properly cancel out her Charged Attack to limit the consumption of her Stamina and maintain her high DPS values. This is why her C1 is the most-sought constellation to improve its innate issues. Additionally, she is way to reliant on Xingqiu and Yelan as Vaporize team compositions are her comfort zone.

✦ Normal Attack | Secret Spear of Wangsheng
➤ Hu Tao's Normal Attack deals Physical Damage whenever she performs her Normal Attack. It is important to level her Normal Attack up since it is her most-used talent in her kit.
➤ Player consensus recommends that you will use N1C or N2C as her primary combos. The latter exhibits higher damage ceiling while the former is easier to execute.
✦ Elemental Skill | Guide to Afterlife
❝Chi!❠
➤ Her signature kit is located on her Elemental Skill, which infuses her weapon with Pyro and deals Pyro DMG, increases her ATK based on her Max HP, increases her resistance to interruption, and applies Blood Blossom upon using Charged Attacks. You need to activate her Skill before using her Normal Attack to take advantage the buffs it brings to her. Rememebr that whenever she activates her burst, 30% of her HP will be lost.
➤ When she applies Blood Blossom to the enemies, it will take Pyro DMG every 4 seconds. Although it has small damage multiplier, it allows the enemies to have a consistent Pyro aura on them, allowing you to deal any Pyro-related reactions with ease.
➤ Additionally, her Skill doesn't have any ICD on them, allowing you to consistent reactions throughout the combat.
✦ Elemental Burst | Spirit Soother

➤ A single and high Pryo damage and HP regeneration to herself is triggered on a large AoE when you activated her Burst. However, you need to activate it whenever Hu Tao's HP is at the lowest to further increase the Burst DMG and the HP regeneration that she will unleashing.

◢ When a Paramita Papilio state activated by Guide to Afterlife ends, all allies in the party (excluding Hu Tao herself) will have their CRIT Rate increased by 12% for 8s.
➤ A decent passive that her team can enjoy, especially when her team is wielding a Favonius weapon.
✦ 4th Ascension Passive | Sanguine Rouge
❝I never imagined that I, Hu Tao, could ever be like this. Energy like a rushing torrent, a heart soaring like a gliding eagle! I feel great!❠
◢ When Hu Tao's HP is equal to or less than 50%, her Pyro DMG Bonus is increased by 33%.
➤ Her A4 Passive allows Hu Tao to enjoy additional Pyro DMG Bonus whenever her HP is less than or equal to 50%, allowing her HP to be in this range to maximize her damage potential.

✦ C1 - Crimson Bouquet
➤ It is her strongest constellation, allowing her to mitigate the stamina consumption issues that she is having. It can result to a higher damage compared to her C0 and act as a quality-of-life to her kit. It is recommended to stop on this constellation.
✦ C2 - Ominous Rainfall
➤ Her C2 allows to increase the Blood Blossom DMG from her Skill that is scaled 10% on her Max HP and her Burst will also apply the Blood Blossom effect to the enemies. It increases Hu Tao's personal damage. Personally, it is recommended to use her Burst at the end of her combo to allow the opponents to continously have Pyro aura in them while you are setting up her team's abilities.
✦ C3 - Lingering Carmine
➤ Her C3 further increases the level of her Skill. It complements her C2.
✦ C4 - Garden of Eternal Rest
➤ Her C4 similarly functions as her A1 Passive but with increases Crit Rate attribute.
✦ C5 - Floral Incense
➤ Her C5 furtther increases the level of her Burst.
✦ C6 - Butterfly's Embrace
➤ Her C6 is arguably her second best constellation as it gives Hu Tao a lot of buff whenever her HP drops below 25% or suffers a lethal strike, allowing you to decrease your time in Abyss. However, it is hard to trigger and managed since you need Hu Tao to suffer a devastating blow from the enemies and can only occur once every 60 seconds. With that said, you need to take advantage her C6 within 60 seconds upon reaching the HP requirement.
About Constellation
➤ Papilio Charontis = Butterfly of Charon
➤ In Greek Mythology, Charon is a ferryman in the underworld, allowing the deceased to traverse the Rivers Styx and Acheron. Deceased people who have received proper burial rites will have a coin attached to their body to act as a payment to Charon whenever he cross their sould to their destination. It resemblance on Hu Tao's duty to act as a guide to the deceased to traverse into the world of the dead and performing burial rites to them.

- Hu Tao's recommended five-star weapon
- It is her signature weapon that is uncontested by a large margins, compared to her other weapon options. Its passive is tailored to her kit and can fully maximizes the buff it gives to her. Just remember to let her HP at the lower half to enjoy all of it.
- Staff of the Scarlent Sands
- Hu Tao's alternative five-star weapon
- Another potent polearm that you can enjoy because of its EM to ATK conversion and high Crit Rate attributes. Even though you are not able to maximize the stacks on its passive, the buff it gives to Hu Tao are always appreciated. Additionally, it is highly recommended to use Gilded Dreams whenver you are using this weapon to her.
- Lumidouce Elegy
- Hu Tao's alternative five-star weapon
- A niche weapon that you can use to Hu Tao especially on Burgeon and Burning team compositions. Additionally, its high Base ATK and increased ATK attribute make it a decent choice for her, even outside Burgeon/Burning team compositions.
- Primordial Jade Winged-Spear
- Hu Tao's alternative five-star weapon
- A decent five-star optioon for her because of its high Crit Rate substat and high Base ATK. However, she can't able to fully benefit to the weapon's passive. If you have this weapon, you can use it on her temporarily until you have R5 Dragon's Bane or any other recommended five-star weapons.
- Ballad of the Fjords
- Hu Tao's recommended four-star weapon
- It is her strongest four-star weapon options that you can use on her, especially at R5. Her passive is so easy to proc and it works on all of her team compositions. If you are planning to buy Battle Pass, this is one the recommended weapons to get.
- Dragon's Bane
- Hu Tao's recommended four-star weapon
- It is another competitive option for Hu Tao because of its passive and high Elemental Mastery substat. It is usually recommended to increase its refinement level to deal much higher damage. You can also use this if you don't have any budget to get Ballad of the Fjords
- Deathmatch
- Hu Tao's alternative four-star weapon
- It is another weapon that you can use on Hu Tao on Battle Pass because of its high Crit Rate substat. Its passive is somewhat inconvenient and can't use it optimally for her.
- Lithic Spear
- Hu Tao's alternative four-star weapon
- Another strong weapon that Hu Tao can use because her recommended team units are came from Liyue (Xingqiu, Yelan, Zhongli). At higher refinements, it can definitely competes with other recommended weapons, even five-star options.

- A limited weapon that you can use on her because of its high ATK substat and easily triggered passive. Great at higher refinement levels.

- Another option for Hu Tao that you can use if you decide to have an all-EM set on her artifacts. You can maximize its potential by putting her in Duoble Hydro teams.
