And I'm finally done with all of it! Ok well I mean I still need to do the Sentou Trials and the boss fight but the annoying stuff is out of the way.
So the above is my version of getting through all the Enkanomiya stuff to unlock this current event we're on. Honestly I think it's just the Moon-Bathed Deep that was the most annoying just because it had the most parts to it.
The really annoying part was the last thing with all the fish statues. At first I thought all I had to do was go around in a circle. But then it turned out each statue moves with another statue so if you move any of them you've jumbled up ones you already finished. So then the trick was you had to activate the pillar once you were done with each of them so that it locks that circle in place. Wow I must have wasted 20 minutes just doing that. And I get that they had a mini version of that thing earlier but you were supposed to use the one that moves together. It was nicely set up so there wasn't much to think about.
After that Enkanomiya itself just takes time. Also it feels like MiHoYo realized we didn't really have that many Ruin Guard enemies anywhere else so farming the mats from them wasn't easy. So now we've got a ton of them.
===============
Ok now the part I'm more known for around here. Enkanomiya has a large amount of Khaenrian enemies and it is also the first region where we've got overworld Lectors. The current event is all about the Abyss pulling stunts down there. Now because there are Ruin enemies there and also Abyss I have a feeling these are separate forces. We did learn that Khaenri'ah had diplomatic relations with Enkanomiya back in the day and in the present the Three Realms are treading a delicate balance between themselves. I wonder if MiHoYo will be using Enkanomiya as some kind of opener any time they want to have the Abyss make a big move. For example we still don't know what happened to Dainsleif and the operation the Abyss were trying to pull back then.
Now on the other hand this video shows off why I originally believed that Arlecchino was running this event's operations. For whatever reason all the different points of the Moon-Bathed Deep and Still Waters Flow quests had Fatui enemies. These guys were hanging out where each of the pearls were and then they had guys stationed where the Key Sigils appeared. There had to be something to that.
If we go with my theory on Sangonomiya then there's a reason for why any of those Fatui would be there but then why would they attack us? When we set out on the quest it was under orders from Kokomi herself through her shrine maiden Tsuyuko. In that case those Fatui should have been helping us. (I mean I get it. These are just enemies in the game so it'd be weird if just some random bunch of them were switched out for NPCs.) So to me that says that whatever deal Kokomi struck with them it didn't include Enkanomiya but those guys still wanted to get in. And of course without any Fatui enemies down there we know they failed.
That said the stuff Enjou was looking into seems to match what the Tsaritsa should be interested in and again her Fatui wanted to get into Enkanomiya. So it felt like this event made perfect sense. We got the doors open and Sangonomiya is still in no position to properly defend or investigate Enkanomiya as we see from the event. So to me it would have made perfect sense if Arlecchino - who I still believe will be tied to Inazuma because of Signora - would have ran an operation down there that caused problems.
Anyway it also turns out Enjou's operation was just to be a dick? So even that might be over with but Enkanomiya feels like a nexus between our different sides. So I think any future stuff dealing with the Abyss might have an Enkanomiya cameo if not a detour. And there's a little more now that the event's done but I'll save that for next time!
