This is the guide for Rita's S-rank Fire MECH battlesuit [SPINA ASTERA]. This guide has been updated for version 6.0

During Spina Astera's debut, she was given for FREE, and you can get her stamps from spending event.This is why old players have her at SS-rank or higher.

✦ SKILL OVERVIEW

SPA has very simple gameplay so I'll get through her skills. GIFs of her skills will be added later.

Astrum and Astral Harness

SPA has an Astrum meter that restores over time, by hitting enemies with Basic ATK, etc. Meter recovers so fast that you will always enter with full meter.

At full meter, you can use Charged ATK to enter Astral Harness mode, during which:

- Basic and Charged ATKs are enhanced. (more on this later)

- All enemies take 13/20% more Fire DMG from Spina Astera.[S0/S1] This is an independent multiplier, which means it's very strong.

- Total DMG +35/40% [S0/SS1]

- Trigger 2s Time Fracture [S2], which is helpful in Memorial Arena

- Consume Astrum meter per second until Harness ends.

Charged ATK

SPA has three stages of Charged ATK

- Charge 1: At full meter, use Charge to enter Astral Harness and summon Void Vortex. Vortex deals Fire damage and ignite enemies.

- Charge 2: Summons an enhanced Void Vortex EX

- Charge 3: The finisher. Sweeps enemies with Void Vortex EX and deal massive Fire DMG. Ends Astral Harness and clears Astrum

Blazar Stack

During Harness, Basic ATK gives Blazar stacks, max 20 stack. During Charge 3 finisher, all stacks will be consumed to deal damage. One stack = 30% ATK Fire DMG (max 600%)

Astral Flare

During Harness, Basic ATK also gains Astral Flare - deal additional 30% ATK Fire DMG. When Astral Rend / Astral PRI-ARM scythe is equipped, deal another 15% ATK Fire DMG.

Ultimate (100sp, CD:20s)

Ultimate: Rita simulates the Holy Blade to deal massive Fire DMG. You enter Astral Harness with full meter, and summons Void Vortex EX.

- Ult cast pauses the timer

- Activating Ultimate instantly gives max 20 Blazar stacks, allowing you to immediately use Charge 3 after Ultimate.

QTE

QTE Trigger: Enemy knocked airborne or ignited. Trigger 3s Time Fracture, deal Fire DMG and restore 5 sp. SP is always welcome!

EVASION

Evasion Skill: Trigger 3s Time Fracture. In Astral Harness, gain 5 Flare stacks.

- [SS2]: Total DMG +15% for 3s and restore 5sp

✦ HOW TO PLAY

SPA has very simple gameplay.

SMALL SEQUENCE

AE combo > SPA QTE > Charge 1 > Charge 2 + Weapon skill > Basic ATK (Get 20 Blazar stacks) > Charge 3

LARGE SEQUENCE

Raven bow + Ult > AE Ult > SPA QTE > Charge 1 > Charge 2 + Weapon Skill > Basic ATK (Get 20 Blazar stacks) > Charge 3 > Ult > Charge 3

✦ LINEUP

ABYSS / SSS-ARENA

AZURE EMPYREA - SPINA ASTERA - RAVEN / SAKUNO RONDO

Best team for Abyss and SSS Andrius

- Azure Empyrea: Gives Elemental buffs, Elemental Breach, sp recovery and more. Can be subbed with SS-Phoenix

- Raven / Sakuno Rondo with Sakura PRI: Raven should be better overall but Rondo can actually provide a better result if the rotation is faster.

- Leader: SPA should be the leader in AE + Rondo team as AE can’t activate her leader skill which requires three different types

✦ CONCLUSION

Spina Astera herself is fine, but...

- In terms of competitiveness, SPA had her time in meta because Hoyoverse keep spamming Argent Knight and Andrius every week. But now, SPA barely sees action.

- In terms of RedLotus, she can still be used on neutral bosses like HoD, Quantum Whale, etc (Other valks like HoH can also handle these bosses).

- Fire team is also not in a very good state. Over the year, other elements got new support while Fire still uses two-years-old Azure Empyrea and a slow Raven

Currently, it is NOT RECOMMENDED to gacha Spina Astera.
