Tier & Meta
Neuvillette is currently one of the top-tier Hydro DPS units. His Charged Attacks are exceptionally powerful, scaling with his Max HP, making him a valuable asset in reaction-heavy teams like Hypercarry, Hyperbloom, Vaporize and Electro-Charge.

Best Builds Neuvillette Main DPS
Neuvillette stands out as a Catalyst DPS due to his unique mechanics that tie his offensive potential directly to his HP. Unlike most characters, who primarily rely on conventional stats like ATK or Elemental Mastery for damage scaling, Neuvillette incorporates his HP into both his damage output and gameplay strategy.
His abilities not only scale with his max HP but also consume a portion of it to amplify his damage further, making his playstyle dynamic and rewarding for those who can manage his HP effectively. This design emphasizes the importance of maintaining a balance between offensive power and survivability, as losing too much HP without proper recovery could leave him vulnerable.
As a result, Neuvillette thrives in team compositions that include healers or support characters like Furina, who can help manage his HP fluctuations while maximizing his damage potential. This dual use of HP—both as a scaling factor and a resource—sets him apart from other Catalyst users and makes him a unique addition to any team.

Best Weapon Signature Neuvillette

The Tome of the Eternal Flow is perfectly designed for Neuvillette, enhancing his gameplay by boosting his Charged Attacks and complementing his unique reliance on HP consumption. This weapon not only amplifies his damage output but also aligns seamlessly with his mechanics, making it an ideal choice for maximizing his performance.
With its ability to leverage HP fluctuations, the Tome of the Eternal Flow takes full advantage of Neuvillette’s playstyle, where managing his HP is key to unleashing his full potential. For players looking to optimize his Charged Attack damage, this weapon stands out as the best fit.

Best Weapons Recommendation

When choosing weapons for Neuvillette, prioritize those that provide CRIT stats or HP to ease the burden on artifact optimization. These stats directly enhance his damage output and align perfectly with his gameplay mechanics.
If you don’t have a weapon with CRIT or HP bonuses, those that boost Elemental DMG can be a viable alternative, though they may not fully optimize his potential. Proper weapon selection is key to ensuring Neuvillette performs at his best in any team composition.

Artifact Set Recommendation

Neuvillette’s core mechanic revolves around losing and regaining HP through his Elemental Skill, making the 4-piece Marechaussee Hunter set an excellent choice for him. Its 4-piece effect, which boosts CRIT Rate when HP changes, is triggered consistently by his gameplay style, allowing him to maximize its benefits with ease. This synergy enhances his overall damage output and makes the set a perfect match for his unique mechanics.

As alternatives, Neuvillette can utilize the 4-piece Wanderer’s Troupe or Heart of Depth sets to boost his Charged Attacks. The Wanderer’s Troupe set provides this benefit passively, making it a convenient option. On the other hand, Heart of Depth enhances Charged Attack damage but requires activating an Elemental Skill to trigger its bonus. Both sets work well with his playstyle, offering solid choices for optimizing his damage.

If you don’t own any of the full sets, you can consider using Martial Artist as a backup option. Alternatively, mixing 2-piece sets such as Marechaussee Hunter, Heart of Depth, or Tenacity of the Millelith can also provide effective bonuses to enhance Neuvillette’s performance.

Main Stat Recommendation

For Neuvillette, target around 40,000 HP to optimize his damage scaling. After that, focus on CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG to boost his overall damage. Energy Recharge is also important to ensure his Elemental Burst is ready often for healing and extra damage. Balancing these stats will allow Neuvillette to make the most of his HP-based mechanics while maximizing his effectiveness in combat.

Talent Priority Recommendation

When leveling up Neuvillette’s Talents, prioritize his Charged Attack first, followed by his Elemental Burst or Elemental Skill, with his Elemental Skill having slightly higher priority.
Neuvillette’s Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst generate Sourcewater Droplets, which reduce the charging time of his Charged Attack and boost its damage. His Elemental Burst costs 70 Energy, so it may take some time to fully charge and use, but it provides significant benefits once activated.

Best Constellation Recommendation

A major drawback of Neuvillette is his vulnerability to interruption while casting his Charged Attack, which can cancel out the benefits of the Sourcewater Droplets generated by his other Talents.
Because of this, having a shielder is essential when using Neuvillette at C0. If you have enough wishes to unlock his C1, we highly recommend doing so, as it significantly increases the chances of successfully landing his Charged Attack without interruption.

Best Team Comp Recommendation

The best team composition for Neuvillette should focus on supporting his unique mechanics while ensuring he can safely perform his high-damage Charged Attacks. Since Neuvillette relies on his HP to scale his damage and trigger abilities, it's essential to have characters who can provide healing and protection. A shielder is a must to prevent interruptions during his Charged Attacks, while a healer will help manage his HP consumption. Additionally, support characters who can boost his damage or provide utility will further enhance his performance. This balanced approach allows Neuvillette to shine as a DPS while minimizing risks and maximizing his damage potential.
