What was it last time? That's right. Zhongli was nerfed. He was supposed to be an OP badass DPS but evil greedy MiHoYo nerfed him to force people to spend on a busted character. It was all to make money. He's totally bait blah blah blah. [emoji]
After Zhongli it was that Albedo was totally useless so don't roll for him and then Ganyu was a Support/5* Amber and then Xiao will be OP and make the game Dynasty Warriors and on and on we went. Albedo has since become a recommended Support, Ganyu is still one of the only broken characters in the game, Xiao has been downgraded because of a clunky mechanic and finally Geo Daddy is pretty much on every single team as long as the player has him. He's even considered a requirement for some characters.
The worst of this stuff though is when a previously "bad" character is used to compare against a new "bad" character because they suddenly become good to help make their points. As it happens people saying Yae Miko is a bad character are comparing her to Kujou Sara. Remember what people said about Sara when she first came out?
Also a really funny one imo is Raiden Shogun who people also claimed was a bad character when she first released and since then she's been a top tier character.
Hopefully these guys give it a rest eventually. (I should clarify I don't mean the people making videos on the meta. I mean the other people who immediately promote any of the negative findings that come up as the meta gets analyzed.) I also sincerely hope people stop believing these guys because the less attention they get the less they're likely to keep promoting nonsense like this again in the future. You want to know who's making the greedy money here? It's these guys because each time people make their nonsense viral they rake in more earnings.
And one last note. I know TenTen here is saying that "Yae has a really bad reputation in China right now" but keep in mind the whole video is him paraphrasing in English what this issue is about and he even clarifies at the end that nothing he's saying is his own opinion. (but he also doesn't like her playstyle) If you actually look into the Chinese fanbase there's actually plenty of support for Yae Miko. Which shouldn't be surprising because "angry Chinese players" was debunked a while ago. And on the other hand there are also people against her who are still using the "Zhongli nerf" story to justify themselves.
Ok but now that the general stuff is out of the way let's break down this latest nonsense. So the conspiracy (naming this stuff with words like conspiracy is why I appreciate TenTen [emoji]) this time is that the Shimenawa's set doesn't look like Yoimiya so that means it was originally planned to be Yae's set and also because the Retracing Bolide doesn't look like Yae it must be for Yoimiya. And because Retracing Bolide is really Yoimiya's set she's totally a Liyue character just like Hu Tao, Xiao and Ganyu who are all reliant on Zhongli's shield to protect them! J'accuse!
Wow I didn't realize this game only had 2 Artifact Sets and 2 characters. If one doesn't fit this character it must mean it fits the other character and that means that the other character was lies! So Viridescent Venerer is a Mondstadt set but you definitely put it on characters like Sayu right? Sayu's totally German guys! Theory confirmed.
Also Yae's best set if you guys check out IWinToLoseGaming is technically Thundersoother's based on his damage calculation. So not only is Yae totally lies she's totally Istaroth or something because she's using a Mondstadt set too. Besides Thundersoother's though you can give her 2 piece Thundering Fury + 2 piece Gladiator's. He actually doesn't recommend a 4 piece Shimenawa's and neither did MiHoYo's own trial Yae.
And finally the conspiracy claims that Yae was supposed to be an on-field DPS but then MiHoYo messed her up so now she's only an off-field Burst DPS. Except....
She is an on-field DPS. Her skill's cooldown is 4 seconds. You're supposed to get away from enemies with it and keep setting up different configurations of them as the battle progresses. These towers continuously generate particles for her to charge up her Burst and then you use her Burst. Just because people haven't tried this out yet and keep using the playstyle of drop all 3 towers next to each other > Burst > drop towers again > switch doesn't prove anything. Eventually the hardcore players will figure out the best playstyle for her just like they did for every other character people claimed was bad. (Let's get this out of the way. There are no "bad" characters in this game. You use the ones that work with your playstyle.)
You know it's stuff like this that reminds me about the people saying "you get more rewards by not playing the game."

Ok my jokes are starting to get mean so let me just get to the positive note. We do sometimes see Artifacts and Weapons designed around characters. For example Staff of Homa is definitely Hu Tao's and Archaic Petra is Zhongli's set. So with Shimenawa's and Emblem you could see it as sets designed for Ei and Yae and they do both drop from the same Domain.
And this part of the conspiracy is definitely true. You guys who read my stuff even know how. Yae Miko was originally supposed to release in v2.1 with Raiden Shogun. As the original story would have revealed that Yae was the original Electro Archon and that Ei deposed her the Archon Quest was supposed to play out with Ei herself being deposed to set up Inazuma for the Human Age. Yae would have explained this to us likely on Seirai which is where both her and Ei's World Boss is. But all of that was changed around v1.6 beta when the Golden Apple Archipelago (which was likely the Ryukyu Islands of Okinawa) were removed from Inazuma and turned into a separate and also temporary region. Then the Archon Quest had to get a rushed makeover so that Ei didn't get deposed and they even glossed over the Statue that was supposed to make Ei omnipresent because you know Omnipresence Over Mortals was literally the title (and also the title promoted in the Travail Trailer) and Scara also alludes to it in his cutscene. What we got instead had nothing to do with omnipresence. Ei didn't even know what was going on with her own Tenryou Commission.
Because of the sudden changes MiHoYo needed to figure out what to do with Yae since they couldn't outright call her the Archon anymore. It is likely Childe got his rererun and we got no new characters in v2.2 because of how badly these changes affected what MiHoYo was originally doing. Kokomi then got bumped up from probably a v2.2 release to a v2.1 release with Ei.
All that said MiHoYo really triumphed in the face of adversity because the new Yae Miko lore is awesome. If they came up with the Kagura's Verity during the changes and she was originally going to have the Everlasting Moonglow then it is even cooler.

So man Diluc who benefits the most from the Crimson Witch Set is totally from Liyue too! And a chick! And that means Signora even though she totally doesn't look it is actually from Qingce Village! Because these people keep claiming she's the witch. So she's 500+ years old right and Qingce's full of old people. Totally confirmed!
Also why is Thundering Fury in Mondstadt when it's based on the Tsurumi Thunderbird? OMG the bird is German too! Japanese Ainu bird god totally Made in Germany! No wait. Germany must actually be Japanese! That's why there was a shipwrecked Mondstadt crew AND Inazuma pirates on the archipelago. Germans are Japanese and Japanese are German! Everything we knew was a lie! Illuminati confirmed!
And man those ropes all over the Retracing Bolide designs. They have to connect to Yoimiya because no other Inazuma character has those Japanese Kabuki Nio-dasuki knots in their design.

Amos Bow was designed for Fischl because it turns a little more purple when you ascend it? It's totally not designed for Ganyu. See that makes sense. No it really does. Because Ganyu doesn't have a signature bow. Amos Bow is a Standard Banner weapon. Who's signature weapon is the Skyward Spine? Or Lost Prayer? I don't recall Weapons requiring a signature wielder. I mean Homa is 100% Hu Tao's weapon but give it to Zhongli and he can use it just as well. You can give "Diluc's" Wolf's Gravestone to Beidou. And is Freedom-Sworn Jean's weapon or is it Aquila Favonia? Because she's depicted with the Freedom-Sworn after it came out but she was using Aquila Favonia before. Maybe just maybe weapons can be interchanged across the character roster and not every character needs to have a signature weapon.
Everlasting Moonglow was totally not meant for Kokomi and they changed its effect to healing to fit Kokomi but her real weapon is the Oathsworn Eye because it matches her look more with the clam theme. So I guess that either means Albedo didn't have a signature weapon on release since his weapon has to be the Cinnabar Spindle from his rerun event or MiHoYo sneakily repurposed the Summit Shaper to be his weapon because it was the only 5* sword to release in the same patch! OMG the writing's on the wall! Look at what MiHoYo has done!
Also funny why they'd design a 5* weapon for a 4* character and 2 4* weapons for 5* characters..... OMG Fischl is totally a secret 5* character just like Ningguang! You guys remember that conspiracy theory back when Ningguang was meta as a main DPS? And Ningguang has a 5* signature weapon too! After all she's Guizhong's reincarnation so it's gotta be Memory of Dust! Ok totally confirmed. Fischl and Ningguang were repurposed 5*s. Albedo and Kokomi are actually 4*s. Wait! So is Klee because of Dodoco Tales!
