You guys know how casual I am playing this game right? So my Sacred Sakura is still a lowly lvl14. (I got it to lvl15 now yay! Only 35 levels to go!) Back when Inazuma first released you needed a lvl17 Sakura to get through some of the barriers including the one below the tree.
But now that you need to get through that barrier to do Ei's new Character Quest I think they either removed it or lowered the requirement. At lvl17 you get the lvl6 Electrograna. At lvl14 I have a lvl5 grana. So I can't be sure if you can just pass through now or if you still need at least a lvl5 grana but at least you don't need a lvl6 one.
Side note: It sucks that you can't do a third or fourth Ascension on Makoto. Her sister you can level to 90 but she's stuck at 50. I mean I guess that's why Ei was the fighter between the two but knowing that Makoto's a character we can all get it's a little annoying knowing we can never level her up to her full potential. [emoji]
The second thing about this quest is the Weekly Boss. I've seen so many videos so far and every single one I've seen uses an Electro character. I've also seen guides where they recommend bringing an Electro character. I was about to put Yae on my team every time I took her on because of that. The reason you are supposed to have an Electro character is because in 1 of the Shogun's phases she has an insta-kill move. The only way to protect yourself is to destroy this thing in the middle of the arena. Using an Electro character a single application of Electro will break it and bring up the shield. Normal shields even Zhongli's will not protect you.
BUT you can actually apply any element to it. It'll just take a few more hits. So as you can see from the video Mona's basic attacks can do it too. If you're nervous just use more of your team's skills. As the video shows the second time I chucked up Zhongli's pillar, tried to use Ganyu's blossom but it lagged, attacked with Mona and also Yanfei. I think you only need 4 hits of something non-Electro. But also keep in mind there's a short cooldown so if you basic attack with a Catalyst Character it'll only register every other hit.
Anyway MiHoYo keeps getting better at telling their stories. Ei's new quest was amazing and Anne's acting was great. I'm still going to have to check out the Chinese version to check on what was being said but I'm loving the new details.
