BUDGET XIANGLING GUIDE
SUMMARY
Xiangling is a 4-Star Polearm character who primarily uses her Burst to deal off-field Pyro DPS. She is used in a wide variety of teams that appreciate her Pyro application, but typically needs to be paired with Bennett or another battery to help Xiangling get her Burst back

Xiangling leveled to 80/90 due to her Ascension Stat (EM). You can also choose to keep her at 80/80 to save yourself some Mora, World Boss Mats, and Pyro Gems if you like

Artifact Sets
- 4pc Emblem of Severed Fate - Has pretty much become Xiangling's BIS since the set released as it helps build ER and increases her Burst DMG too
- 4pc Crimson Witch or 4pc Gilded Dreams can also work in reactionary team comps thanks to their 4pc Passives, but is generally less preferred compared to 4pc Emblem
Main Stat & Substats
- ER should be Xiangling's main priority as she'll need at least 200% ER in most situations, even with Bennett. Sands option depends on your weapon and vice versa.
- If you are running an ER weapon, you can opt for an EM or ATK % Sands instead (if you can comfortably get her Burst back). If you do not have an ER weapon on Xiangling, an ER sands is practically a necessity
WEAPON OPTIONS
Xiangling has a variety of weapons to choose from and it can depend on what Sands you have available for her as well. The Catch is typically the go-to option, while CRIT weapons are great for her personal DMG, and EM weapons may be useful in reactionary team comps. Favonius Lance and Kitain Cross Spear are great for helping Xiangling get her Burst back in comps where she struggles with Energy issues or isn't paired with Bennett
- The Catch - Completely F2P Option but requires Fishing. This is one of her best weapons as it has an ER substat and the passive increases her Burst DMG and CRIT Rate
- Other ER Weapon Options: Skyward Spine, Favonius Lance
- EM Weapon Options: Dragon's Bane, Kitain Cross Spear
- CRIT Weapon Options: Ballad of the Fjords, Jade Spear, Deathmatch
- ATK % Weapon: Missive Windspear (Limited-Time Event)
TEAM COMPS
In most cases, Xiangling likes to have Bennett on her team to help battery her. She also works in a variety of team comps such as: Melt, Vaporize, Mono Pyro, Chevreuse Overloaded, Burning, Soup/Overvape.
She works with on-field and off-field DPS characters such as: Mualani, Neuvillette, Ayato, Tartaglia, Yelan, Xingqiu, Furina, Kinich, Emilie, Clorinde, Raiden, Fischl, Yae Miko, Wriothesley, Ganyu, Rosaria, Kaeya, Lyney, Arlecchino, Mavuika, Navia
Notes:
- Weapon options in my budget guides exclude weapons that are only obtainable from the limited (weapon) banner.
- With the addition of Chronicled Wish, this means some Weapon Banner exclusive weapons were added to Chronicle Wish as well, but these weapons are still considered "limited" for the purposes of these guides
- The rationale behind this is that the Chronicled Wish banner has the same duration as a normal banner and uses precious Intertwined Fates.
- This makes the Budget Guide friendlier to newer players, F2Ps, and low spenders.
- Materials for ascending the character to level 80/90 (for additional EM) & talent levels 1 / 8 / 8
- In terms of purple XP books alone, you'd be saving 172 XP books (419 to 90/90 compared to 247 to 80/80). That's enough XP books to level up a different character to level 70! This aspect of the Budget Guides is friendly to players who may have less resources.
- It also potentially frees up resin that may be spent on leylines to farm artifacts instead
