ARTIFACTS
Artifact Sets
- Since his kit includes HP fluctuations, his best Artifact Set is 4pc Marechaussee Hunter, which can give him a bunch of CRIT Rate. This set also increases NA/CA DMG
- In Freeze teams, he can use 4pc Blizzard Strayer. In Burn/Melt teams, 4pc Unfinished Reverie is preferred.
- 4pc Shimenawa's Reminiscence is a solid generalist Set since it increases NA/CA DMG at the cost of your Burst's Energy, but generally not preferred over the other options above.
- If you're still farming for a 4pc Set, you can use 2pc Set Mix between: Marechaussee Hunter, Blizzard Strayer, and/or a +18% ATK Set~!
Main Stat & Substats
- Mostly looking for the same main and substats as most DPS characters
- If you're running 4pc Marechaussee Hunter or 4pc Blizzard Strayer, a CRIT DMG Circlet will usually be better thanks to the Set Effects
- EM substat is nice to have in reactionary Melt teams
WEAPON OPTIONS
- CRIT Weapon Options
- Lost Prayer - Also grants Wriothesley with Elemental DMG Bonus
- Widsith - Good 4-Star CRIT option with an Offensive Passive he can take advantage of
- ATK % Weapon Options
- Skyward Atlas - Grants Elemental DMG Bonus, similar to Lost Prayer
- Flowing Purity - Craftable Weapon with the Bond of Life mechanic. Effectively takes away some incoming healing in exchange for Elemental DMG Bonus
- Other Weapon options you may own, but are less preferred in comparison to the above options: Dodoco Tales, Ballad of the Boundless Blue, Blackcliff Agate, Eye of Perception, Frostbearer, Oathsworn Eye
TEAM COMPS
Wriothesley can use a healer/shielder on his team. Having a Cryo character can grant Cryo Resonance, thankfully there are a lot of Cryo options to choose from
- Freeze - Hydro Off-fielder / Cryo Support / Anemo VV or Flex Support
- Hydro: Furina, Yelan, Xingqiu, Kokomi, Barbara
- Cryo Support: Shenhe, Rosaria, Kaeya, Citlali, Ganyu, Layla, Diona, Charlotte
- Flex: Can use another Healer/Support character like Xilonen, Sigewinne, etc.
- Reverse Melt - Bennett / Pyro / Flex
- Pyro: Xiangling, Mavuika, Pyro Traveler, Thoma, Dehya.
- Flex: Citlali, Xilonen, Zhongli
- Burn/Melt - Pyro / Pyro or Other Support / Off-field Dendro: Emilie, Nahida, Baizhu, Collei
- Mono Cryo - Shenhe / Anemo / Cryo Support
- Can alternatively use Double Cryo / Double Geo with Zhongli and Yun Jin/Chiori
Notes:
- Weapon options in my budget guides exclude weapons that are only obtainable from the limited (weapon) banner.
- With the addition of Chronicled Wish, this means some Weapon Banner exclusive weapons were added to Chronicle Wish as well, but these weapons are still considered "limited" for the purposes of these guides
- The rationale behind this is that the Chronicled Wish banner has the same duration as a normal banner and uses precious Intertwined Fates.
- This makes the Budget Guide friendlier to newer players, F2Ps, and low spenders.
- Materials for ascending the character to level 80/90 (for additional CRIT DMG) & talent levels 8 / 8 / 8
- In terms of purple XP books alone, you'd be saving 172 XP books (419 to 90/90 compared to 247 to 80/80). That's enough XP books to level up a different character to level 70! This aspect of the Budget Guides is friendly to players who may have less resources.
- It also potentially frees up resin that may be spent on leylines to farm artifacts instead
These are the concepts behind the Budget Guides and I hope it can help some of you!
