Artifact Sets
- 4pc Crimson Witch of Flames is a great for Vaporize/Melt comps since it increases Reaction DMG and Pyro DMG
- Since his kit naturally has some HP manipulation, 4pc Marechaussee Hunter is a great option for him and allows him to build less CRIT as well
- 4pc Gilded Dreams is not a bad set either - it helps him build EM and ATK %, but its Set Bonus isn't as valuable as the 2 mentioned above
Main Stat & Substats
- ATK % Sands is an all-around general option, while EM Sands may work better in Vape/Melt teams.
- Energy Recharge is an important substat as his main source of DMG is his Skill Plunges, which you can use more frequently during in his Burst state. If you struggle getting his Burst back, consider an ER Sands
- If you're using 4pc Marechaussee Hunter, focus more on CRIT DMG than CRIT Rate due to its 4pc Set Bonus
WEAPON OPTIONS
- Serpent Spine - Great BP Weapon if you can keep the passive active (typically done with the help of a Shield character)
- EM Weapons
- Rainslasher - Works very well in Vaporize teams, Passive increases DMG against enemies affected by Hydro
- Mailed Flower - Event Weapon, Passive increases ATK % and EM after causing a Reaction
- ATK % Weapons
- Tidal Shadow - Craftable Fontaine Weapon. Passive increases his ATK % after GaMing is healed
- Wolf's Gravestone - Provides ATK % to GaMing and sometimes to the rest of the team as well
- Skyward Pride, Ultimate Overlord's Mega Magic Sword (Melusine Event) - Decent ER Claymore options if you're struggling to meet ER requirements
- Possible Beginner Weapon Options: Debate Club, Bloodtainted Greatsword
TEAM COMPS
Xianyun, Iansan, and Bennett are all great Support characters for GaMing! A healer is recommended since GaMing wants to be above 50% HP to work with Man Chai (Burst) and have increased DMG (A4 Passive)
Vaporize
- Off-field Hydro: Furina, Yelan, Xingqiu, Kokomi, Ayato
- Anemo VV: Xianyun, Kazuha, Lan Yan, Sucrose, Jean, Sayu
- Flex: Bennett, Zhongli, Kachina, Xilonen, possibly a 2nd Hydro off-field unit
- C4 Yanfei (aka Shieldfei) or Thoma can also be used to Swirl Pyro if Bennett isn't available
Melt - Typically has 2 Cryo units & 1 Anemo VV holder
- Off-field Cryo: Rosaria, Layla, Citlali, Kaeya, Ganyu
- Citlali can lower Pyro RES! You can use a second Pyro character with Citlali on the team
Chevreuse Overloaded - Chevreuse / Electro / Flex
- Off-field Electro: Iansan, Fischl, Raiden Shogun, Yae Miko, Ororon, Kuki Shinobu
- Would usually prefer Bennett in the last slot, but you can alternatively slot in another off-field Electro unit if there isn't enough Electro application
Notes:
- Weapon options in my budget guides exclude weapons that are only obtainable from the limited (weapon) banner.
- With the addition of Chronicled Wish, this means some Weapon Banner exclusive weapons were added to Chronicle Wish as well, but these weapons are still considered "limited" for the purposes of these guides
- The rationale behind this is that the Chronicled Wish banner has the same duration as a normal banner and uses precious Intertwined Fates.
- This makes the Budget Guide friendlier to newer players, F2Ps, and low spenders.
- Materials for ascending the character to level 80/80 & talent levels 1 / 8 / 8
- In terms of purple XP books alone, you'd be saving 172 XP books (419 to 90/90 compared to 247 to 80/80). That's enough XP books to level up a different character to level 70! This aspect of the Budget Guides is friendly to players who may have less resources.
- It also potentially frees up resin that may be spent on leylines to farm artifacts instead
