And now we're getting a whole patch to celebrate it setting up a new direction for Genshin where our regions might continue to mix. It all started with the last event where Zhongli led the charge of Liyue characters showing up in Mondstadt. So when Sumeru comes out hopefully the crossover will start right away! (I mean Lisa has to be a part of the Archon Quest but I mean on top of that.)
That said there's some implications here and it all starts with our resident drunk pictured above. In my #Yae Miko #Novel short story I mentioned what Zhongli thinks of him.
I also noticed similarities between the philosophies and even preferences of Yae and Zhongli. Since the event is run by Yae and Venti's going to make an appearance I think we should expect a meeting and that could give us so much to work with. (also we should expect a meeting because they literally had a clip of them standing together in front of a food stand haha)
Here's the thing. We know at least that Yae knows Morax and that she was still in contact with Ganyu up until Sakoku so it's very likely they both know who she actually is. But we don't actually know how many of the Archons know including Venti. Based on Zhongli's opinion of him they may not have told him which we could see playing out here.
A meeting between Venti and Yae could happen with Venti slowly becoming suspicious of her and then it'll be up to Yae how much she lets him figure out including leading him on the whole way through. This would show us she shares Zhongli's opinion. But if she hints at it enough so Venti is able to realize who she is that'll show that she actually has at least a higher opinion of him than Zhongli. Or the meeting could play out where they both do know each other meaning Yae did already tell him and that could mean that the original Seven were all very close and also that even Venti knows you can't just kill an Archon. I mean it stands to reason they were and he does but it hasn't been stated so this could clear that up.
You see now what I mean by Option 2 being really great the way MiHoYo did it right? Reading up on Yae's "Vision" we know it's a fake just like Venti's so maybe a meeting between the two could let us know if Yae came up with the idea, Venti or maybe they came up with it together. Or if they came up with it separately and they might share a laugh about great minds thinking alike. We also still don't know what Zhongli's Vision is. Grandpa is a little too much of a stickler to make a cheap fake imo but who knows at this point. And if it isn't just a fake what is it since Archons obviously can't have Visions.
Now there's also another route. What if they don't meet? (Nobody said MiHoYo couldn't pull a Marvel.) Not meeting is itself an indication of their relationship. If Venti's going to go all the way to Inazuma and Yae won't even meet him (like she obviously would if it was Ganyu or Zhongli) then we can figure out she might have an even less opinion of him than Zhongli does.
Or if she sends Ei at him instead it could mean she's trolling him because we already know that Ei doesn't like him lol. I made sure to mention that in my short story too.
