BUDGET KAMISATO AYAKA GUIDE
SUMMARY
Ayaka is a 5-Star Sword DPS character who deals significant damage through her Burst and is also capable of infusing her NAs/CAs with Cryo fairly easily! She excels in Freeze and Mono Cryo teams

Artifact Sets
- As Ayaka is mainly utilized in Freeze teams, 4pc Blizzard Strayer is the preferred set for her in many cases. Even against enemies that cannot be Frozen, the 4pc set still provides +20% CRIT Rate (not including the CRIT Rate from Cryo Resonance!)
- If you are not using her for Freeze or against unfreezable enemies (like Bosses), 4pc Marechaussee Hunter is the next best set if you are playing Ayaka with Furina! Otherwise, 2pc Blizzard Strayer and either 2pc Noblesse Oblige / 2pc ATK set can work as well.
Main Stat & Substats
- She is relatively easy to build, as she looks for similar main stats as other DPS characters.
- ~30-40% CRIT Rate can suffice with 4pc Blizzard Strayer / 4pc Marechaussee Hunter and Cryo Resonance granting Ayaka extra CRIT Rate! CRIT DMG Circlet is used in my infographic for this reason, but if you're not using these sets, look for a CRIT Rate Circlet instead!
- Since her Burst is Ayaka's main source of DMG, it is ideal to build some ER on her, which can typically vary based on team comp/weapons. I believe it is generally between 120-140% ER, but it's best to test what is comfortable for you!
WEAPON OPTIONS
- ATK % Weapons
- Finale of the Deep - great F2P Craftable, as long as you have a decent source of healing to activate the Passive properly in order to gain extra ATK!
- Amenoma Kageuchi - Another great F2P Craftable, Passive helps her regenerate Energy
- Kagotsurube Isshin - Another free 4-Star weapon option, obtainable after completing Kazuha's Story Quest. Passive involving NA/CA DMG and increasing Ayaka's ATK % further
- Calamity of Eshu - Event weapon that increases NA/CA DMG and CRIT Rate when Ayaka is protected by a Shield
- CRIT Rate Weapons: Try not to overcap!
- Wolf-Fang - Battle Pass Weapon, Passive increases Skill/Burst DMG and CRIT Rate.
- Black Sword - Passive increases NA/CA DMG
- Harbinger of Dawn - 3-Star weapon option with CRIT DMG substat. Not as great since it has lower Base ATK, but can act as a decent stat stick, especially for beginners! Better against Freezable enemies so Ayaka can maintain the Passive
- Skyward Blade - ER substat as well as a suitable passive that gives a bit of extra CRIT Rate and NA/CA DMG. Generally other weapons preferred over this one, especially since Amenoma Kageuchi can fulfill your ER needs
TEAM COMPS
- Freeze teams generally have Ayaka / Cryo Support / Hydro / Flex/Buffer
- Cryo: Shenhe and Escoffier are the most recommended Cryo characters for Ayaka!
- Other options include Rosaria, Diona, Ganyu, Layla, Kaeya, Charlotte
- Hydro: Kokomi, Furina, Mona, Ayato, Xingqiu/Yelan, Barbara
- Flex/Buffer: Anemo VV Holder, Xilonen, or another Cryo Support (recommended with Escoffier!)
- Mono Cryo - Cryo / Cryo or Flex / Flex
Notes:
- Weapon options in my budget guides exclude weapons that are only obtainable from the limited (weapon) banner.
- With the addition of Chronicled Wish, this means some Weapon Banner exclusive weapons were added to Chronicle Wish as well, but these weapons are still considered "limited" for the purposes of these guides
- The rationale behind this is that the Chronicled Wish banner has the same duration as a normal banner and uses precious Intertwined Fates.
- This makes the Budget Guide friendlier to newer players, F2Ps, and low spenders.
- Materials for ascending the character to level 80/90 (for additional CRIT DMG) & talent levels 8 / 8 / 8
- In terms of purple XP books alone, you'd be saving 172 XP books (419 to 90/90 compared to 247 to 80/80). That's enough XP books to level up a different character to level 70! This aspect of the Budget Guides is friendly to players who may have less resources.
- It also potentially frees up resin that may be spent on leylines to farm artifacts instead
