BUDGET MUALANI GUIDE
SUMMARY
Mualani is a 5-Star Catalyst DPS character who can deal significant Hydro DMG (albeit slowly in comparison to someone like Neuvillette) and is especially great in single-target situations (although she can handle a few extra enemies as well). She likes to Vaporize her hits so having off-field Pyro application is valuable in her teams

Artifact Sets
- 4pc Obsidian Codex is the best option for Mualani, similar to many other Natlan DPS characters
Main Stat & Substats
- In most cases, Mualani will likely use an HP Sands. An EM Sands can also work since she typically deals Vaporize DMG
- You can also test an HP Goblet instead of Hydro DMG Goblet if you have a better piece!
- If you are using a CRIT DMG Weapon, you can consider an HP Circlet
WEAPON OPTIONS
- Ring of Yaxche - Craftable weapon that is likely her best F2P weapon. It provides HP % substat and its passive increases NA DMG based on her Max HP.
- The Widsith - CRIT DMG Weapon with potential buffs through its passive, but keep in mind that Mualani will not take advantage if it gives an ATK buff
- Sacrificial Jade - Battle Pass Weapon that provides CRIT Rate (so make sure you don't build too much CRIT Rate). Passive also gives her HP % and EM, stats that Mualani will appreciate
- Prototype Amber - Another Craftable Weapon option, but is not as good as Ring of Yaxche...
TEAM COMPS
- Pyro: Xiangling, Mavuika, Pyro Traveler, Dehya, Thoma
- Dendro: Great in the team as Burning can enable Mualani to Vaporize too!
- Emilie is a great Sub-DPS character, Nahida can buff Mualani's EM, while Kirara/Baizhu can provide shields/heals
- Flex:
- Anemo VV
- Zhongli can be your shielder. You can also opt for Double Geo (Zhongli, Xilonen, Chiori, Albedo, Kachina)
- Furina can provide buffs and Hydro Resonance, Citlali and Xilonen can offer RES Shred
Notes:
- Weapon options in my budget guides exclude weapons that are only obtainable from the limited (weapon) banner.
- With the addition of Chronicled Wish, this means some Weapon Banner exclusive weapons were added to Chronicle Wish as well, but these weapons are still considered "limited" for the purposes of these guides
- The rationale behind this is that the Chronicled Wish banner has the same duration as a normal banner and uses precious Intertwined Fates.
- This makes the Budget Guide friendlier to newer players, F2Ps, and low spenders.
- Materials for ascending the character to level 90/90 & talent levels 1 / 8 / 8
- Potentially frees up resin that may be spent on leylines to farm artifacts instead
