Hey Travelers!
Liyue, with its grand mountains, has a group of immortal illuminated beasts. This group is the Adepti! The honored protectors of Liyue for a millennium. The word "Adeptus" is merely a title, so not all illuminated beasts are referred to as such. Their leader is Rex Lapis, the Prime of Adepti. He’s older than Liyue and saw the world before the War of the Funerary Flame, when there were still Three Moons in the sky and heavenly envoys guided people.
A popular legend is that of the White HorseAdeptus, the Golden-Eyed Celadon Mare from the Eight Adepts. The story of this slender woman with gold eyes and long white hair helped a boy lost in the bamboo forest. This woman, as she guided the boy out that night, would tell him stories of the Three Moons and of before the Archons were born. The tale of hers ended in the line.
“The three sisters of the night turned against one another, leading to their eternal parting by death. Only one of their pale corpses now remains, ever shedding its cold light..."
At dawn, the two would go their separate ways. The only thing he had of the meeting with the mysterious woman was a strand of her long white hair on his shoulder and the sound of distant whinnying cry. Many years later, the once boy, a man, would recognize the wondrous encounter he had in that forest.
