BUDGET DIONA GUIDE
Diona is a 4-Star Bow Support character who can fill multiple roles in the team by being the Healer, Shielder, Battery. She can also provide an EM and Stellar-Conduct/Stellar Swirl buff!

Freeze
- DPS: Ayaka, Skirk, Ganyu, Freminet (more like Shatter than Freeze), Neuvillette
- Off-field: Furina, Mona, Xingqiu/Yelan, Ayato, Rosaria, Kaeya
- Buffer - Anemo VV Holder / Xilonen / Escoffier / Citlali / Vodyanitsa
Stellar Teams
- Stellar DPS: Sandrone, Cyno, Wriothesley, Vesna, Mizuki
- Off-field: Yae Miko, Odette, Beidou, Alyosha
Mono Cryo - Typically requires Escoffier or Shenhe to buff the team further.
Melt for DPS characters like: GaMing, Arlecchino, Mavuika, Wriothesley, Ganyu
Physical with Freminet, Eula, or Razor. Diona works especially well with Eula as she can battery and shield her
- Fischl / Raiden are typically the preferred off-field Electro in the team
General Shield Replacement
- While her shield is weaker than Zhongli's / Layla's, if you don't have them or need another Shielder, Diona can be a good option who can provide a slightly weaker shield in exchange for some healing and possibly her C6 EM Buff (can work great with Melt/Fridge teams)
TALENT & ASCENSION MATERIALS
Diona leveled to 80/80 as she ascends with Cryo DMG, which isn't beneficial to her. You can level her up further for more HP and thereby a thicker shield/more healing if you choose
Notes:
- Weapon options in my budget guides exclude weapons that are only obtainable from the limited (weapon) banner.
- With the addition of Chronicled Wish, this means some Weapon Banner exclusive weapons were added to Chronicle Wish as well, but these weapons are still considered "limited" for the purposes of these guides
- The rationale behind this is that the Chronicled Wish banner has the same duration as a normal banner and uses precious Intertwined Fates.
- This makes the Budget Guide friendlier to newer players, F2Ps, and low spenders.
- Materials for ascending the character to level 80/x (for additional CRIT DMG) & talent levels 8 / 8 / 8
- In terms of purple XP books alone, you'd be saving 172 XP books (418 to 90/90 compared to 247 to 80/80). That's enough XP books to level up a different character to level 70! This aspect of the Budget Guides is friendly to players who may have less resources.
- It also potentially frees up resin that may be spent on leylines to farm artifacts instead
