Today, we take a look at the newly introduced Flame Chaser, "Starry Impression" aka Griseo.

She's the new SP valkyrie for this version and plays the role of a physical and Bleed support. So without wasting any time, let's get to it!

Griseo/SI is a PSY-type SP Valkyrie who specializes in dealing Bleed Trauma and Bleed Damage and plays the role of a Physical/Bleed Support.

Leader Skill - Self-Portrait: Stars:

Team deals 24.0% bonus Physical DMG to bleeding enemies and starts battle with 55.0 bonus initial SP. In Open World, the initial SP bonus takes effect once every 10 mins.

Basic Attack - The Painter and the Knight:

SI's Basic Attack is a 5-sequence attack. Each attack gives her a paint stack on the paint Bar above her HP Gauge. The max amount of paint stacks in normal mode is 3.

The Basic attack can be executed by either spamming the Attack button or the Ultimate Button. The difference is that the Ultimate button is used to stack different paints/switch paints and the Basic Attack button will stack the same paint:

- On landing Basic Seq 3 and 5, increases physical damage by 35% for 6 seconds, can be refreshed.

Combo Attack - Knight Blowing Bubbles:

Attack together with Mr. Knight by holding down the attack button when the paint bar is at 2 or more.

Combo ATK is dictated by the number and color of the paints it consumes:

※ If she does not have the max number of paints or paints of all 3 colors, Mr. Knight will consume all paints to knock enemies airborne and deal 400% ATK of Physical DMG.

※ If she has the max number of paints that contain all 3 colors, Mr. Knight will consume all paints to smite enemies and deal 650% ATK of Physical DMG.

Casting Combo ATK grants a Prismatic Bubble buff for 10s.

Prismatic Bubble:

※ Negates incoming DMG once. Deals 100% ATK of Physical DMG to nearby enemies on blocking, expiry, or being triggered again.

※ Griseo restores additional SP after casting Combo ATK according to the colors it consumed. For every 1/2/3 different colors consumed, restore 4.0/8.0/16.0 SP.

※ Prismatic Bubble can be stacked 2 times. Within 10s of triggering Prismatic Bubble, increase Ignore Interrupt and reduce incoming Total DMG by 30%.

※ Griseo gains 3 Different colors on first entry.

QTE - Windmills:

Triggered when an enemy is Time-Slowed or bleeding (refreshing included). Deals 140.0% x 7 ATK of Physical DMG, restores 6.0 SP to the team, grants 3 different colors, and reduces switch CD to 4s.

Mr. Knight's sword bleeds.

Evasion - The Birth of the Depicter:

Ultimate Evasion Skill: Causes Global Time Fracture for 2 seconds (CD: 15sec).

Ultimate Evasion Skill grants Prismatic Bubble and can be chained into Basic Atk Seq - 3.

Passive - Impression, Ciel Étoilé:

Passive bonuses apply automatically.

Gain paints through fighting. They have 3 colors and the default paint is red. Tap [ATK] and hit an enemy to gain a paint of the current color. Tap [ULT] to switch colors and hit an enemy to gain a paint of the new color. Gaining a paint grants a corresponding Mixing buff for 20s (gaining it again refreshes the duration).

[Mixing: Red]: Deal 20% bonus Total DMG to shield-broken or unshielded enemies.

[Mixing: Yellow]: Take 15% less Total DMG.

[Mixing: Blue]: Bleeding inflicted by her deals 35% bonus Physical DMG.

※ Combo ATK that consumes multiple same colors deals additional Physical DMG based on her ATK. If this color has the highest count that is over 1, each of it deals 250.0% bonus Physical DMG. This DMG counts as bleeding DMG.

※ Deal 40.0% bonus Total DMG and 40.0% bonus bleeding DMG to BIO-type enemies. BIO-type enemies take 10.0% bonus Total DMG from the team.

※ Start battle with 40.0 bonus initial SP. Triggered once every 10 mins in Open World.

Ultimate - Neverland Genesis:

[SP cost: 75; CD: 20s]

Exhibit a painting that materializes and attacks upon auto-completion. Casting Ultimate causes Global Time Fracture for 2s.

Teammates on the field can inflict 2 Bleed Trauma (CD: 2s). Ultimate lasts 18s, during which the number of paints in the Paint Bar is capped at 5 instead of 3.

When Ultimate has 8s left, deal 500% ATK of Physical DMG in an area. During Ultimate, her exit refreshes the duration of Mixing buffs and grants teammates the same Mixing buffs.

※ Ultimate's AoE DMG deals 500.0% ATK of Physical DMG to bleeding enemies. Each stack of bleeding increases the multiplier by 300.0% until it reaches 2,000.0%. This DMG counts as bleeding DMG.

※ Team enters Traced state during Ultimate. It enables them to stack bleeding on enemies 4 more times, and each stack makes bleeding deal another 15% ATK of Physical DMG per 0.5s. After casting Ultimate, inflict 6.0 Bleed Trauma on all enemies.

※ During Ultimate, bleeding inflicted by her deals 50.0% bonus Total DMG.

GEAR RECOMMENDATIONS:

The recommended and the Best in Slot Gears for Griseo / SI is obviously her signature, which makes her even more overpowered than she already is.

WEAPON:

Elysian Astra / Elysian Astra: Heart's Color:

The signature weapon for Griseo, with an auto-deploying skill on QTE along with on-demand Time fracture activation and Tons of Physical and Bleed damage. This cross also buffs the team's total damage by a decent amount and makes the enemies take more physical damage after the cross is deployed.

Alternate Options for Weapons:

Hekate's Sombre:

The alternate best option that can be opted for if you don't have Griseo's weapon can be Hekate (PRI). It's a good general Support weapon too so you cannot really go wrong with that, but you will lose a bit of time doing rotations and miss out on the Bleed damage, and bleed damage is quite valuable when it comes to Griseo.

Other than that, Hekate will serve you just fine.

11th Leitourgia:

Another decent weapon, if you already have it, won't recommend forging just for Griseo. If you want to forge anything, put your resources in Hekate instead.

Zither's Lament:

Gives a decent buff to Team Move speed and Burst mode attacks, and some decent overall Physical damage bonus to the whole team. If you don't have Hekate, but have this lying around in your Inventory, it can be used as a replacement.

Silver Reaper:

F2p choice if you don't have anything else.

STIGMATA:

Cézanne:

We all know that SP valkyrie gears are very overpowered, and Cezanne is no exception to that fact. This set seems to contribute a good portion of Griseo's potential. And Cezanne(B) to be exact, seems to be another newton(B) situation, so all the meta-focused people might need a "few" copies of this stigmata piece.

Other than that, it has huge Bleed And Total Damage increase buffs for Griseo herself, paired with quite an overpowered 2-set Effect, which is basically like another Newton(B) but with a way longer duration.

So yes, this one also qualifies to be a must-get set(even for general use; and dupes will always be welcome) like the other SP Stigmata Sets.

Alternate Options for Stigmatas:

Holmes:

A good replacement set for Cezanne will be Holmes- if you have it lying around in your inventory. Its a bleed focused set and Griseo has tons of Bleed built in her kit.

A lot of people have been spooked by this stigmata for the past few patches, so yeah make use of it, why not.

Shuijing(TB) + Avogadro/Gustav/Mei(M):

Shuijing holds up to this day and can be used on Griseo as well, just substitute the (M) piece for any support piece. Although it is not recommended for longer fights as it cannot be consistently refreshed on Griseo, unlike SA.

Others:

If nothing else, the usuals like Gustav, Beethoven, or Candy Mei Newt can be used.

ACQUISITION:

Captains can farm Starry Impression frags starting v5.7 using Asterite and Gold Pins from the Shop every week.

Starry Impression Fragments will also be added to the Open World starting v5.7.

Furthermore, you can also farm Starry Impression Fragments by playing the v5.7 exclusive events "The Journey of Painting Stars" and "Arc: Lightbound"(Rerun) and using the event currency to buy Starry Impression Fragments from the Event Shop.

Of course, there will also be an SP supply for her character card, but it's highly recommended to avoid spending crystals for farmable valkyrie, especially for f2p and Budget players. You're better off spending those crystals trying to get the Equipment.

CONCLUSION:

Griseo has easily become the best Physical support in the game, overtaking Carole and Starlit Astrologos easily(At least in places where enemy shields aren't too much of a problem). Her gears are also probably one of the strongest physical sets we've seen in a while in my opinion. She will boost any Physical DPS valkyrie very easily, so I would recommend trying to gear her up if you can.

As for what rank she will be viable on, SS-rank will do just fine, with even more buffs at SSS(especially a very good Leader Skill). We have a lot of events in this patch that give Griseo fragments so get to farming and SS her as fast as possible.

The Stigmata Set for this valkyrie is exceptionally good, and like mentioned before, SP valkyries and their gears have a very huge effect on the meta in general anyway. As for Cezzane(B), it's like another alternative to Newton(B) but with a longer duration, so do remember to save the dupes if you get them!
