5.8 Beta Guides
Honkai 5.8 is the start of a new Battle Pass season. Version 5.8-6.1 uses a new token 'Dark Jade Crystallum'. This BP season features two Durandal battlesuits - Dea Anchora and Bright Knight: Excelsis! In this article, we'll discuss the BP content, their recommendations and show you the best way to pull them. This article will continuously be updated with new BP content announced until version 6.1

Here are the known Battle Pass Elite Works content and schedule for v5.8-6.1 revealed by miHoYo CN server post, beta and live server content.
Note that BP also gives other premium materials like Crystals, Ancient Legacy and more, but we'll only focus on the Elite Works content in this article.

You have to get at least Knight Pass to purchase the valkyrie card and stamps. So f2p captains, this guide isn't for you, but keep reading! Maybe you'll be convinced to spend a few dollars for a Dea Anchora card, Bright Knight stamps and gears instead of saving 28,000 crystals for her.
✦ DEA ANCHORA | S-rank BIO Fire DPS ✦
Dea Anchora is an outdated valkyrie, lacking in both damage, utilities and timer pause mechanic. Currently, her only bosses are SSS Parvati (Arena) and... Parvati (Ignite Abyss). She also needs her full signature gear for sufficient damage and sp recovery.
- FOR BEGINNERS: Very low priority.
- FOR HIGH-RANK PLAYERS: If nothing important appears in Battle Pass, this is a good chance to get DA or rank her up.
- BY ANY CHANCE: Sometimes Hoyoverse likes to add DLC weapons to make valks relevant again. Is there any chance DA will get one?
✦ BRIGHT KNIGHT | S-rank MECH Physical DPS ✦
Bright Knight: Excelsis is older than Dea Anchora, but surprisingly still relevant until this day. She needs Divine Key Abyss Flower to function properly, and in high level content, you will need ranks to catch up with other players.
- FOR BEGINNERS: Bright Knight is not a must-have for beginners. You need to pull a separate supply for her Abyss Flower. Her other battlesuit, Palatinus Equinox is more recommended since she is a powerful IMG enemy slayer and works well against anything not QUA-type: PSY, MECH and BIO bosses.
- FOR HIGH-RANK PLAYERS: Due to the abundance of BK fragments from other events in the past, you will need ranks to keep up in higher abyss tiers.
- RECOMMENDED RANK: S2 minimum (Has sp recovery and crit rate), SS optimal (10% Physical Vulnerability)

1. You want DA / BK card
CHEAPEST METHOD
- Purchase two Knight pass in 5.8 and 5.9, one Vanguard in 6.0/6.1
- Total: 14 + 14 + 5 = 33 Crystallum
- Purchase card [32 Crystallum]
- Get DA / BK card in v6.0
A FASTER METHOD FOR DA CARD
- Purchase Paladin Pass in 5.8 and 5.9
- Total: 16 + 16 = 32 Crystallum
- Purchase card [32 Crystallum]
- Get DA card in v5.9
2. You want to rank up S-rank DA to SS-rank
A POSSIBLE METHOD
- Purchase two Paladin Pass in 5.8 and 5.9, Vanguard pass in 6.0 / 6.1
- Total: 16 + 16 + 5 = 37 Crystallum
- Get 40 DA fragments from leveling up BP
- Purchase DA stamp x5 [32 Crystallum] and DA stamp x1 [4 Crystallum]
- Get 100 DA frags (SS-rank) in 6.0/6.1
ALTERNATE METHOD WITH 5.8 TOP UP EVENT (MORE EXPENSIVE, BUT FASTER AND SAVE BALLS)
- Purchase two Paladin Pass in 5.8 and 5.9
- Total: 16 + 16 = 32 Crystallum
- Get 40 DA fragments from leveling up BP
- Purchase DA stamp x4 [16 Crystallum]
- Reach the 6480 crystal top-up milestone in 5.8 and get 2 DA stamps from the box.
- Get 100 DA frags in 5.9.
3. You want to rank up S-rank BK to SS-rank
A POSSIBLE METHOD
- Vanguard pass in 5.8/5.9, purchase two Paladin Pass in 6.0 and 6.1,
- Total: 16 + 16 + 5 = 37 Crystallum
- Get 40 BK fragments from leveling up BP
- Purchase BK stamp x5 [32 Crystallum] and BK stamp x1 [4 Crystallum]
- Get 100 BK frags (SS-rank) in 6.1
4. You want to get DA / BK and her equipment
- The max Crystallum you can get from 4 Paladin Passes is 64.
- In 6.2 vintage shop, you can exchange 6.2 crystallum to Dark Jade Crystallum, max 8 exchanges.
FOR BRIGHT KNIGHT
*Let's assume that Hler and Dante stigma are added to BP in version 5.9-6.1
For Bright Knight, you only want Dante T and M, get G4 Elysia B for the bottom piece. For weapon, you have to gacha Abyss Flower. I doubt this will be included in BP
- Total cost: BK card [32 Crystallum] + Dante T and M [20 Crystallum] = 50 Crystallum
FOR DEA ANCHORA
Unfortunately, DA card costs 32 crystallum and full gear costs 42 crystallum (Astral lance [12], Shakespeare Adrift T,M,B [10,10,10]). A total of 74 Crystallum required
- You have to sacrifice a piece. B piece is important for sp regen, T has ignite. You have to cope with Thales M. If you are actually in this situation, try to get the last piece from some event or something idk.
5. I already have full gear, how many rank-ups can I get?
You need 48 Crystallum to get all available stamps for either DA or BK. Total frags can be acquired is 50 frags [32 balls] + 40 [16 balls] + 40 from Paladin level-up = 130 fragments. From S0, this is enough to reach SS0 with a remainder of 30 frags.
