Maybe.
At the start of the month I made my predictions for this event. How did they hold up?
So the major part that we can look at so far is how they got to the islands and why. I proposed a few ways they could have gotten there and what that would mean for the point of the quest. It looks like they went with Venti and with a basis on the underlying story behind Fischl.
I said that if the story would be based on Fischl's previous life as the Archon Amy then the people interested in her would likely bring Mona there to finally be able to scry some secret that is hidden on the surface. We can see from the quest how easily Mona can scry for people. She saw Kazuha taking on Ei in seconds and was immediately impressed. (She may have also seen Kazuha's future ties to Scara and his new Kagotsurube and the legacy he represents.) How fitting then that the person interested in Fischl is Alice who knows all about Mona because they are in the same coven.
That said I don't think MiHoYo will be that direct about it. (I have been wrong before though.) But in my mind the Fischl thing shouldn't be revealed until much later in the game I'd even say Snezhnaya-levels of later. So if that's right then my guess is Mona will just suddenly have an honest amount of respect for Fischl at the end of the quest instead of just humoring her like we're seeing now.
On the other hand I'm a little baffled that Kazuha and Xinyan were added to this quest as filler. They have no connection to it so far. There wasn't even a mention of Beidou or anything. I suppose the Domains that we'll get in the following days could throw some development at them but I'm not sure about how MiHoYo decided to bring them in.
Also while Irodori was an event too it feels like if they were bringing Kazuha and Venti together again that there'd be a little hint at their prior meeting. Based on the interactions I can't even be sure if this event happened before Irodori like Kazuha's own quest did. It's only a nitpick and I guess it couldn't be helped. I mean imagine some players who are new to the game. They get this quest started and already Kazuha an Inazuman is familiar with Venti the Archon from Mondstadt. They might feel so confused and left out.
Ok enough theorizing let's talk about the fun!

But I am a little disappointed that we didn't get a cutscene of the Dodoco rocket lol Also the suggestive dialogue brought back memories of us, Xinyan and Beidou cramming into our little Waverider that one time. Aether you lucky dog you. Actually Kazuha you lucky dog you in the case of any Lumine players lol
"Good spirits" he says. I can just imagine if it was Kaeya in his place. 
All the innuendos would be had. Oooh or for Aether players if Lisa was invited.

Anyway later on we actually encounter a Fatui. If you guys paid attention to the clip we were shown about the conches it looks like we'll be learning about their backstory through them haha. As for that story I'm just going to guess that it was Alice that got them on to the idea of testing on the island and that contraption they brought is going to open up the Domains somehow. At least it might be blamed on it lol
Btw dude aren't you hot? It's a tropical island. Okinawa is pretty warm especially in the summer and dude's wearing a parka.

Garten Sanssouci

I'm actually surprised at Mona for not knowing about it. Sanssouci isn't even a German word. It's French meaning without a care. Mona being from Fontaine should know that. But benefit of the doubt maybe she just didn't realize that such a place would exist in Mondstadt of all places. (you know being a proud French lady and all) But based on the description of the design by King Fredrick I think there really is a Garten Sanssouci in Mondstadt. They even talk about it earlier in the quest. It would be Diluc's mansion. The Sanssouci was built on a vineyard based on a belief in harmony between man and nature and to give off a relaxed atmosphere.
Timelinewise it even fits. You guys might remember my old Genshin Germany topic where I talk about all the ways MiHoYo brought our real world Germany into the game. But while most of Mondstadt would be based on Medieval Germany and the Holy Roman Empire the church was actually completed after the fall of the empire. Diluc's mansion if it is Genshin's version of the Sanssouci would have been built in the French Rococo style of the 1700s late into the lifespan of the empire and much closer to the church's completion than the rest of Mondstadt's buildings.

drunk Kazuha is so cute! We've never seen our boy hammered before but I bet someone has. No wonder she kept him around.
This event's going to be potentially our longest one with 5 parts. Last time we had Perilous Trail that released every day but it only had 3 parts (4 if you count my little stint at voice acting lol) and most of these have a max of 4 parts like Irodori and Lantern Rite. Also I hope the remaining 4 parts will be like Perilous Trail where the Domains were part of the story. We hadn't seen that since Labyrinth Warriors and it was interesting to play through the actual events alongside the story. Compare that to the Beisht challenge in Lantern Rite.
Anyway let's see what tomorrow brings!
