The new quest will be taking place on the Golden Apple Archipelago again. But you guys remember what it took to get there last time?

The reason why we needed a dragon just to fly us there was because the area was surrounded by fog. Originally these islands were meant to be based on the Ryukyu Islands which are part of Japan's Kyushu region. This was part of the reason why I theorized that the "fog" was a weaker part of the thunderstorm barrier and we'd use it as a launching point to get into Inazuma.
Since that was all changed it looks like the location is being adapted into a generic summer location. I wonder if they'll keep the Kazuha mats though since he's also part of this one.
While Venti didn't exactly need too much convincing to get us here last time this time there may be a more lore driven excuse. When the preview came out I pointed out how each of the characters that are going to be part of the event was last encountered during another event related to Scaramouche. Mona and Fischl met Scara during Unreconciled Stars, Kazuha is directly related to Scara because of his family's legacy. And finally Xinyan was there when Childe told us that Scara took off with Ei's Gnosis and broke contact with the Fatui.
Since Kazuha's Character Quest is likely to relate to Scara too it might be a patch themed around it. ![]()
Or
We know that it starts with Fischl and it'll have something to do with her desire to be the real "Prinzessin der Verurteilung" complete with fake nonsense castle Domain and new wardrobe. You guys know I have a developing theory on her too. And as a Mondstadt character she should be even more important to Venti especially if another theory I still need to get up is true. (that one won't take over a year I promise lol)
Finally during that sketch in the teaser it feels like Kazuha and Xinyan are perfectly comfortable playing along with Fischl but Mona's here acting like the adult these kids just dragged along. We know that while Kazuha has a unique sense for the wind Mona is actively training and researching in astrology which has given her deeper insight on things compared to most. It could be that whoever sent Fischl to the islands is also concerned about her but without anything to go on even Mona's scrying never really got anywhere. Just check out their Voicelines about each other. But if you force the Prinzessin stuff front and center maybe this is where Mona will sense what's going on behind the scenes.
Anyway that's all led me to believe there are 3 possible ways these guys will get there and each one will determine what the point of the story will be:
1. You could simply have Beidou bring us there. Besides the very minor link to Scara it feels like Xinyan's just being added to the event as an afterthought. But she is in touch with Beidou along with Kazuha so maybe they ended up joining the party because Fischl needed a way to get to the islands. In this case there's also the link to last year's summer patch and my belief that the original story was about using the islands (then a part of Inazuma) as a starting point for the Archon Quest.
2. They could use Venti again and if they do then depending on what gets discussed with him to motivate him to help we'll know if it's about Scara through more lines with Kazuha or if it's specifically about Fischl where Venti's likely to play along with whatever she's going to say.
3. If Fischl somehow has her own way to get to the islands and she brought the other along with her then it should be based on Fischl with Mona being there because whoever set Fischl on the quest wants Mona to figure it out.
And these stories could all be intertwined too. Maybe the thing going on with Fischl will need to be resolved first before she can play her part in Kazuha's quest against Scara. Or maybe both of their stories need to play out before they can both participate in the events hinted at through the Shattered Halberd and Flowers books by that I mean Kazuha's sword and Fischl becoming Amy.
Which plotline would you prefer and what would you like to see happen in this event?
