2. Finish the new quest, "Exploding Population"

This is your introduction to fishing.

Katheryne first offers this quest.

You will then meet Nantuck who teaches you how to fish.

Getting Bait

Craft the default Fruit Paste Bait. You learn this recipe from the tutorial with Nantuck.

Fish 6x Medaka with this bait.

Buy the Fake Fly Bait and False Worm Bait recipe from the Mondstadt Fishing Association.

If you don't see him, log out and back in!

"The Catch"

Buy this and its refinement materials from the Inazuma Fishing Association.

Fake Fly Bait:

Fish 20x Rusty Koi.

Fish 20x Golden Koi.

False Worm Bait:

Fish 6x Raimei Angelfish.

Rusty Koi and Golden Koi Locations

Red = Rusty Koi

Orange = Golden Koi

Purple = Both

Refining (Ako's Sake Vessel)

For each material, you need to…

Fake Fly Bait:

Fish 10x Pufferfish

Fish 10x Bitter Pufferfish

False Worm Bait:

Fish 3x Raimei Angelfish

This is done four (4) times for a total of:

40x Pufferfish

40x Bitter Pufferfish

12x Raimei Angelfish

Pufferfish and Bitter Pufferfish Locations

Red = Pufferfish

Orange = Bitter Pufferfish

Purple = Both

Raimei Angelfish Location

Tips:

1. Fishing spots replenish every 3 days.

2. Fishing spots have different stocks during night and day.

3. Some fish only show up at night, such as the Raimei Angelfish.

4. You can fish in co-op!

5. Fishing is permanent. You can take your time.
