Hey, Captains! Today we are going to be taking a look at the 4★ gacha Bow weapon, Key of Ego, introduced in v6.0. Key of Ego is a Ice-DMG Bow-type weapon designed for Herrscher of Human: Ego. In this guide, we will review the weapon’s functionalities and where it excels best at. For the sake of convenience, Key of Ego and Herrscher of Human: Ego will be abbreviated to KoE and HoHE respectively in this guide.

✦ SKILLS DETAILS ✦
Like any other bow, you can either quick tap or hold to aim before releasing for (Ice) DMG. However, in the hands of HoHE, the bow performs a little more. After applying 3 Pristine Seeds and landing the Weapon’s Active skill onto enemies, 12% Ice Vulnerability for 10s is inflicted. Vulnerability debuffs are very potent when it comes to DMGing your enemies.
When HoHE is in HoH form and lands a Weapon’s Active, 10 extra hits (notice the crystal mirrors above the enemy in the gif) will be applied.
For the 10 multi-hit effect, it synergizes well with HoHE’s signature stigmata, Elysia: Pristine. The 2-pc effect requires 8 quick hits, which can be fulfilled easily with KoE.
Long Love passive effect provides a 10% TDM (20% instead if HoHE) for 10 refreshable seconds upon using the Weapon’s Active. HoHE also gets 3 maximum Weapon’s Active shots instead of the usual 2, making it easier for her to deal more DMG and be less constrained by Weapon’s Active CDs.
The TDM buff duration can be seen from this icon above your HP bar.
And after applying 3 Pristine Seeds and landing the Weapon’s Active skill onto enemies, HoHE recovers 4 SP. This makes it easier for HoHE to recover ~8-12 SP per rotation to alleviate her high Ult-Cost of 125 SP.
✦ WEAPON COMPARISON ✦
KoE is the first ever Ice-dedicated 4★ Bow. So while there aren’t any other specific contenders to compare KoE towards, most of the other existing bows still provide Total DMG multipliers. KoE will be compared to other fellow non-PRI-ARM Bows to show Captains, Lv.80 and below, what options they have.
✦ Team Composition(s)
Because KoE is a Ice Bow Bow and HoHE is the only Ice-based Bow-wielder in the game at the time of writing, HoHE will be the only tester for the weapons in the chart. With these tests, we can observe how well HoHE will perform with her signature weapon as opposed to other potential substitutes.
✦ Test Results
After testing, the best Lv.50 weapon for HoHE is KoE. With her signature weapon, HoHE surpassed her performance with OW by a large ~10.5%. The F2P weapon, CoC, took third place at 88%. It shows that CoC makes for a decent F2P option but using KoE will definitely make a notifiable difference.

Herrscher of Human: Ego (HoHE)
For KoE, HoHE is its best choice of wielder. As the only Ice DMG Bow user, HoHE synergizes well with the Ice weapon. KoE’s weapon’s active skill is best used on enemies in Pristine Bloom state (when the button for it is flashing). Doing so will optimize the buffs/debuffs that the weapon has to offer.

✦ Closing thoughts ✦
KoE is the signature weapon of HoHE and can only be wielded in full power by her. In the hands of HoHE, the weapon inflicts Ice Vulnerability, restores SP, and increases the wielder’s TDM. HoHE also gains an extra Weapon’s Active max ammo and using Weapon’s Active also inflicts 10 extra hits of Ice DMG. Even in non-exalted levels, HoHE clearly performs better with KoE. I highly recommend Key of Ego for players looking forward to playing Herrscher of Human: Ego.
