Let me be the not-so-first to say HAPPY 2 Year and CONGRADULATIONS to the incredibly talented team at Hoyoverse, and thank you for your perseverance, your mission to tell a story, and your dedication to provide us with a new exciting. no~ breath-taking world to explore, when the real world can be dull and bleak, it's nice sometimes to have somewhere you can escape for a while and at different intervals in my life, that world for me has been well- as I'm sure for other travelers out there, the world of Teyvat. It's so difficult to put into words what this world has done for me, not only with countless hours of entertainment, but just also the impact (some might say- GENSHIN Impact, haha funny) anyways. *cough* - The impact that this game has had on my life in general.
ANYWAYS, I know you're not here to relive my life story with me so, I'll keep it simple.
This ridiculous, almost inappropriate screenshot is probably one of my favorite memories and it's so foolish but I think that's also what makes it special, Hoyoverse has created this environment where we really don't always need a flashy new event or that "OH MY GOSH" mechanic or epic boss fight, most of the time and this is true in real life as well, the best and the most enjoyable memories don't always come from the expected, in the words of a particular honey-enjoying bear, "sometimes doing nothing at all can lead to the very best something", and when you stumble across something as silly as this, it really brings new meaning to that quote. For some context, that is my girlfriend playing as the beloved Yanfei, sitting on me (playing as Tartaglia- from my dark and grim maining Tartaglia days - oh boy.) And I just remember cracking up, because we weren't really doing anything other than exploring, and I think I was trying to grab some artifacts that were sitting there- and that happened, and sometimes, especially for a sentimental sucker like myself, it's the simple things like that, that get me the most, and that's why this screenshot that I'm sharing is very important to me and is very close to my heart as ridiculous as that might seem.
In Conclusion, the #endlessjourney is truly.. endless. There's so much to look forward to, and I'm sure Hoyoverse is working tirelessly to deliver the content that we desire as a community, and they I'm sure could use a much needed vacation. I want to take a much needed moment to just appreciate once more the developers, the moderators, the voice actors behind the many voices of the characters that we know and love, the teams dedicated to making this a safe community that I wouldn't trade for anything in the world. Genshin Impact led to the bonding of myself and my girlfriend of almost 2 years, who I met online and now we live together. That's INSANE! We have so much to look forward to, and I for one can't wait to experience what's in store and to continue making many priceless memories in the years to come.. Here's to Hoyoverse for your hard work and your dedication. Thank you so much for everything you do. Everything that you've done. and Everything, yet to come.
