Ok that I don't really care too much about. From the event image I totally thought this was going to be a full on building that we'd enter not just the Windblume door like so many other events but that's not important.
What worries me most of all is Xinyan. That rock number she pulled was awesome and I've been hoping to see it ever since they released her character almost a year ago. And I did call it that it makes zero sense why she'd be involved in a fighting domain so they had to work out this really weird angle.
But with how this event starts out it feels like MiHoYo is just dangling that concert in front of us. Or maybe I'm just being hopeful. I can't help but consider what if this event is leading to her concert being saved and us getting to see her actually perform. I mean why even talk about it? We already knew Beidou was taking her somewhere and since this event is right after Moonchase we could put the pieces together. So I'm still super Hopium for that ending.
But I should also say that "Fontaine is holding a concert in Inazuma right now but they had to cancel" is total BS. We just liberated Inazuma from total lockdown not too long ago and technically that part of the nation's policy didn't change. Playing through Ei's Character Quest you know the storm is still up and so is the Sakoku Decree. The only thing that canonically changed was the Vision Hunt Decree and the resistance from Watatsumi. So there is no way "Fontaine is holding their annual concert in Inazuma this year."
Childe. They did NOT do anything to deny my suspicions about the Inazuma story. The fact that we're sus of him already only helps my theory. No matter what Childe as a Harbinger could not possibly land safely on Narukami Island after the ending of the Archon Quest. Ei would have dealt with him personally if not put Sara and the whole Tenryou Commission on high alert. There is no way Fatui can be on Inazuma at this point with the story we got. BUT if I'm right Childe could easily be there either smuggling himself through Watatsumi or claiming to be an envoy with permission by Kokomi to be allowed safe passage into Narukami. After all according to my theory Sara wants to try bridging relations with the now independent Watatsumi nation so she'd have to allow Childe in. After that his Harbinger skills could let him sneak his way into the domain maybe even having caused it just like what he did in Liyue.
Now from my other topic there was actually somebody talking about how Genshin made them stop playing Onmyoji that I didn't include in my topic. So it was really funny for me seeing this whole Shikigami storyline all about the onmyoudou and onmyoji practices of Japan. It's like Genshin read those Chinese players comments and wanted to put the last nail in Onmyoji's coffin. [emoji]
Besides the story though I have to say the gameplay is so fun. While I'm not too fond of looking around for little shinies and brown chests on a brown wooden backdrop on my tiny little smartphone screen, I am loving this more laid back dungeon crawl style compared to all the timed challenges and precision minigames.
