Here is the exquisite chest portion of my Sumeru Desert chest guides. There are a total of 70 Exquisite Chests found in the desert.

Guide Notes / Suggestions
1. Much of the Sumeru Desert exploration is locked behind quests, so I would highly suggest completing the Golden Slumber, Old Notes and New Friends, and Afratu's Dilema World Quests before conducting your chest sweeps
2. Missable Chest(s): None! Yay!
3. The guide below is divided into an Above Ground and Below Ground section to make it easier to locate the chests.
4. Use Ctrl-F if you are looking for specific types of chests. I will be using the following key terms to make this easier:

1. Defeat the Fungi

41. Enter the underground area near the hospital by destroying the boulder. Then destroy the boulder in the side of the cavern reveal the hidden room and defeat the Hilichurls.
42. Continue through the cavern and defeat the Hilichurl Camp
43 - 47

**. Use Anemo to reveal the chest beneath the Sand Pile
44. Defeat the Primal Construct
45. Complete the Torch Puzzle. Use the Tri-Yana Seed to reveal the hidden torches.
46. Complete the Everlight Cell Puzzle
47. Defeat the Primal Constructs
48 - 50
You must have enough clearance to access this portion of the temple
48. Use the elevator to go down to the lower floor. Take the elevator on the next floor back up to defeat the Primal Constructs
49. Complete the Torch Puzzle
50. Defeat the Primal Constructs
51 - 53
51. Can enter this cavern above ground or through the entrance on the side. Defeat the Eremites
52. Destroy the Tumor of the Whithering
53. Defeat the Hilichurl Camp
54 - 55
54. Light the Totems
55. Release the Primal Ember in 55A to its torch. Then release the Primal Ember in 55B to spawn the Forged Primal Light. Use the Forged Primal Light to reveal the Primal Ember in 55D. Release this final Primal Ember to obtain the chest.
56 - 57
56. Defeat the Primal Construct
57. This chest is part of Soheil's Wish World Quest and contains Record of the Tomb of Carouses
58 - 62
58. Complete the Everlight Puzzle
59. Defeat the Primal Construct
60. Use the Everlight Cells to light the 2 Electro Totems to reveal the chest. Then defeat the Primal Constructs
61. Defeat the Fungi
62. Defeat the Hilichurls
63 - 67
63. Complete the Everlight Cell Puzzle
64. Complete the Everlight Cell Puzzle
65. Complete the Sandglass Challenge
66. Defeat the Eremites
67. Complete the Everlight Cell Puzzle
68 - 70
68. Light the Torches and use the Tri-Yana Seed to reveal the hidden ones
69. Defeat the Primal Constructs
70. Use the Everlight Cells to unlock the Totems. Then light the totems to obtain the chest.
