From Honkai 6.1 BETA Articles

UID: 17601070 [SEA]

Hello captains! Excelsior07 is here and in this article, I would like to do a review about the new weapons in version 6.1, Nocturnal Stealth and its PRI-ARM form, Nocturnal Stealth: Beam. These two weapons are fist type weapons that are specially made for the new S-rank ice valkyrie in version 6.1, Li Sushang (Jade Knight). In this article, we will learn about what these weapons have to offer and how they perform. With that being said, let’s begin the review!

SKILL DESCRIPTION AND ANALYSIS

Nocturnal Stealth

ATK 294 CRT 16

Sword prodigy. Before the girl even knew what the world really is, this title was already engraved in her life.

A long search for a mentor, training by the shoal, unpredictable changes in the world, uncertainties all around.

In this furnace we know as the "world", the girl met and left many.

Only the determination in her heart and the weapon in her hand are her most loyal companions, watching over her for a lifetime.

Shadowing Figures

[SP: 0][CD: 18s] Wield a Wave Splitting Edge towards targets, dealing 600.0% ATK of Ice DMG and forming a line of Torrent that lasts for 25s. Triggering it again resets the duration. While Torrent is on the field, it produces a wave each time a target takes Ice DMG, dealing 60.0% ATK of Ice DMG, up to 5 waves. CD: 2s. When Jade Knight casts this skill in Sword Array, she immediately connects it with a Back Wind Slash.

Dim Dawn

After using weapon skill, the team deals 20.0% more Ice DMG for 22s (cannot stack). Triggering it again resets the duration. Jade Knight equip bonus: Recover 12.0 SP each time Torrent produces a wave. CD: 2s.

Nocturnal Stealth: Beam

ATK 430 CRT 27

Edge of Taixuan. That is the pillar of the girl's worldly travels and a story near forgotten.

Lasting bonds were consumed by the ever-changing vortex of fate. Yet when death was imminent, she regained the height of her youth.

In a flash, it's been a hundred years. The old world is now a chapter in history, but the girl's worldly journey has opened it once again.

Hidden Nightrunner

[SP: 0][CD: 18s] Wield a Wave Splitting Edge towards targets, dealing 800.0% ATK of Ice DMG and forming a line of Torrent that lasts for 25s. Triggering it again resets the duration. While Torrent is on the field, it produces a wave each time a target takes Ice DMG, dealing 100.0% ATK of Ice DMG, up to 5 waves. CD: 2s. When Jade Knight casts this skill in Sword Array, she immediately connects it with a Back Wind Slash.

Sinking Moon

After using weapon skill, the team deals 20.0% more Ice DMG for 22s (cannot stack). Triggering it again resets the duration. Jade Knight equip bonus: Recover 12.0 SP each time Torrent produces a wave. CD: 2s.

Quiet Shade

Ice DMG dealt by Combo ATKs increases by 20.0%. Total DMG dealt by the team increases by 10.0% (cannot stack).

ANALYSIS

(Nocturnal Stealth active skill)

Both normal and PRI-ARM active skill cast a sword slash to deal ATK of Ice DMG (600% on normal and 800% on PRI-ARM) and it forms Torrent that lasts for 25s. When an enemy takes Ice DMG, the Torrent will produce a wave to deal ATK of Ice DMG (60% on normal and 100% on PRI-ARM), max 5 waves and each wave has 2s CD. If Sushang casts the active skill on Sword Array mode, she can immediately tap ATK to cast Back Wind Slash afterwards. Normally, Sushang casts Back Wind Slash after casting Bolt Slash by tapping ultimate 3 times (Back Wind Slash is also triggered off field when teammate casts weapon active skill or hits the enemy with charged / combo ATK). With Nocturnal Stealth, she is able to cast Back Wind Slash right after casting its active skill. For your information, Back Wind Slash combo recovers SP for Sushang (off field Back Wind Slash can’t recover SP) and boosts team non burst ranged ATK Ice DMG.

(Nocturnal Stealth active skill in Sword Array mode. Captains can tap ATK to cast Back Wind Slash combo)

Passive 1 boosts team Ice DMG (both normal and PRI-ARM have 20% team Ice DMG buff) for 22s after casting active skill. It also gives 12 SP recovery exclusive to Sushang each time Torrent produces a wave (CD 2s). In other words, Sushang can recover up to 60 SP after casting active skill. I think the SP recovery effect is insane. It’s higher than the one on Cosmic Duality and Domain of Sentience. As a comparison, Cosmic Duality recovers 3 SP every 0.5s for 10s (max 60 SP) and 10 SP after teammate casts ultimate (team shared CD 15s) but it has 25 SP cost (60 + 10 - 25 = 45 SP), while Domain of Sentience grants 2 stacks and each stack spent by combo ATK recovers 15 SP (max 30 SP).

Passive 2 is exclusive to PRI-ARM as usual. It boosts wielder’s Ice DMG dealt by combo ATK by 20% and team Total DMG by 10%.

DPS TEST AND COMPARISON

In this section, I will do a DPS test to see Sushang’s support ability when equipped with Nocturnal Stealth, with Herrscher of Human: Ego as the main DPS valkyrie. Nocturnal Stealth, both normal and PRI-ARM, will be compared with Cosmic Duality and Jade Bloom.

Preparation for DPS test is shown as below:

(Lineup used in DPS test)

(Weapons used in DPS test)

Lineup: Herrscher of Human: Ego - Reverist Calico - Jade Knight (HoH RC JK. HoH lead)

Ranks: HoH S0 - RC SSS - JK SS0

Rotation:

- Nocturnal Stealth normal and PRI-ARM

RC yellow combo > active skill > purple combo > special active skill (predation) > ultimate > JK QTE > active skill > tap ATK (back wind slash) > ultimate > hold ATK (heart piercer) > HoH QTE > active skill > ultimate > special active skill > basic ATK until full Herrscher charge > charged ATK > special active skill > basic ATK until full Herrscher charge > charged ATK > special active skill > finisher

- Cosmic Duality and Jade Bloom

RC yellow combo > active skill > purple combo > special active skill (predation) > ultimate > JK QTE > active skill > 3x tap ultimate (bolt slash) > tap ATK (back wind slash) > ultimate > hold ATK (heart piercer) > HoH QTE > active skill > ultimate > special active skill > basic ATK until full Herrscher charge > charged ATK > special active skill > basic ATK until full Herrscher charge > charged ATK > special active skill > finisher

RESULT

(DPS test result)

Nocturnal Stealth: Beam easily takes the lead. The gap between both maxed out normal and PRI-ARM Nocturnal is ~3.62%. Their DMG output difference looks small, so perhaps captains can consider whether crafting PRI-ARM Nocturnal will be captains’ priority or not. Both forms has the same number of SP recovery and team Ice DMG buff, but the PRI-ARM form has higher ATK and active skill DMG as well as the PRI-ARM exclusive passive 2 which boosts team Total DMG, something that the normal form doesn’t have.

Nothing much to say about Cosmic Duality and Jade Bloom but there are things that captains should take into account. Cosmic Duality has Total DMG buff for the team, but it is restricted by “Fu Hua equip bonus.” Therefore, Sushang can’t trigger said buff. She still gets benefit from the SP recovery effect though, but it’s still lower than Nocturnal (25 SP cost on Cosmic contributes on the lower number of SP recovered).

While for Jade Bloom, team gets 15% Total DMG buff for 6s when the team picks the item dropped by Sushang’s off field attack, but it has no SP recovery at all and it will be a real problem on the real battle. Also, since the buff duration is short, captains have to pick up the dropped item as much as possible. During the test, I used Infinity Duke emblem which extends pickup radius, so it helped me on picking up the items.

Last but not least, Cosmic Duality and Jade Bloom respectively have ~91.98% and ~88.91% of Nocturnal Stealth: Beam output. Therefore, if captains don't have Sushang's signature weapon, then captains can consider using Cosmic Duality as it is the best alternative weapon in this test.

VALKYRIE RECOMMENDATION

(Nocturnal Stealth best wielder, Li Sushang "Jade Knight")

Nocturnal Stealth is highly recommended for Sushang. She needs it to recover more SP (Nocturnal's SP recovery effect can only be triggered by Sushang) and boost team Ice and Total DMG. Not to mention the weapon make Sushang’s team rotation smoother since casting weapon skill during Sword Array mode allows Sushang to directly cast Back Wind Slash combo. If captains want to build Sushang then let's hope that captains would get Nocturnal Stealth first. After that, captains can consider whether captains want to get Sushang's signature stigmata, Shenzhou set, or skip it and stick with alternative set instead.

HOW TO GET

Captains can obtain Nocturnal Stealth by pulling in the focused supply. In version 6.1, Nocturnal Stealth will make its debut alongside Sushang’s signature stigmata, Li Sushang: Shenzhou Reminiscence. One pull costs 280 crystals and each piece has 50 pulls guarantee. Additionally, Sushang’s gears debut has a special offer where captains can pull 10 times in that supply for free. This is a good deal, so make sure captains don’t miss it! Once captains have obtained Nocturnal Stealth, upgrade it to max level and craft its PRI-ARM form, Nocturnal Stealth: Beam.

CONCLUSION

“Should I pull this or not?”

Yes, I recommend captains to get at least Nocturnal Stealth. Among all of Sushang’s signature equipments, her weapon is undoubtedly the top priority to get. The fact that its active skill recovers at most 60 SP for Sushang without any need to spend some SP like Cosmic Duality proves that Nocturnal Stealth is kind of mandatory for Sushang. And don’t forget about team buffs and smoother rotation, she can directly cast Back Wind Slash after casting active skill in Sword Array mode, which also important for Sushang to recover SP as well as boosting team non burst ranged ATK Ice DMG.

Doesn’t mean Sushang without weapon is unusable though. Captains can use Cosmic Duality for SP recovery, albeit not getting the Total DMG buff due to "Fu Hua equip bonus" restriction. But it still doesn’t change the fact that the rotation won’t be as smooth as if Sushang is equipped with her signature weapon. So try to at least grab Nocturnal Stealth and she will be good to go. For stigmata, Shenzhou set is actually important too. However, if captains can’t afford to get Shenzhou set, captains can use other alternative supporting stigmata sets. Take Turgenev for example, it actually performs good and quite close enough to Shenzhou set.

Captains can read my article about Shenzhou set here:

Okay captains, we’ve reached the end of my review about Nocturnal Stealth and Nocturnal Stealth: Beam. Hopefully my article could make captains better understand about the new weapons and how to utilize it. I do apologize if there is any information that I missed to include here. Have fun farming Sushang and good luck to every captains who want to pull her signature equipments! Excelsior07 is out and have a nice day, captains!
