First thing first, as in previous post, I want to address a trigger warning for those who don't like comparisons between HYV games. If you easily get angry every time someone compares a character from one game to another character from the other game, please leave this page immediately. I don't want to cause your fury. That's a kindly request from me.
Also, my comparison is mainly between Genshin and HSR, with less focus on HI3 because I'm not an active player of HI3, and I don't know every character from there.
There might also be some spoilers for those who haven't completed the Genshin story up to version 3.8 yet.
Here I want to discuss my experience in the Xianzhou Luofu Trailblazer Quest:
- Cloud Knights, sounds a little like Cloud Retainer, an Adepti reference?
- We arrived at a safe place where we met a captured disciple. He talked about the talking Stellarone and how they wanted to use it as a power source. Next, he talked about Ambrosial Arbor, the gift from Aeon of Abundance. Is AA that big tree? The other guy talked about the enemies - Disciples of Sanctus Medicus, aka worshipers of Plagues Author - Yaoshi. Oh, so that weird plant-form of the Cloud Knights is the mara-struck form. I get it now.
- There is also that Dragon-shaped tree in the middle.
- Now Fu Xuan came back, and they want our help. Yukong earlier told us Xianzhou does not need Express to get involved, but now they need our help.
- So there is a big furnace and a weird smoke that elicits mara on Knights.
- Are we going to see what Xuan saw in Kafka divination? Maybe later, now we have to turn off that smoke.
- Beating the Master of the Disciples of Sanctus Medicus took me a while.
- Tingyun? What's going on? OMG! WHAT HAPPENED?! O_O Best cutscene so far!
- Seven Lord Ravengers? It's almost like Eleven Fatui Harbingers.
- Then there was a cut to Dan's perspective as he looks for the rest of the group. He arrives at some kind of island.
- There is Kafka and Blade here. Then Dan showed up, who was threatened by Blade to die, but Yanqing came to rescue him. The battle began. Blade threw his sword at Dan, attempting to kill him. It appeared Dan is a banished person from Xianzhou, recognized by Yanqing. Blade wanted to let him experience death. Yanqing got angry, and the next battle began.
- After the atmosphere cooled down and General showed up, Stellarone hunters left, and General, along with Dan, went to Scalegorge Waterscape to join the Express crew. By the way, this place has an entrance like Enkanomiya.
- There is talk about water that cleanses from sin, which might be something to do with Fontaine. There was also something about the purity of the water and the sin.
- The paintings on the walls of that Scalegorge Waterscape really seem to look like those from ruins in Genshin but in better quality.
- Next, Dan reveals for us the whole Underwater City.
- Then we open the seals to the Dragon and later... fight Phantylia.
- This fight was difficult but fun. I LOVE THE OST.
- Ended up with a cliffhanger.
