[HSR] Chapter 2: Windswept Wanderlust - opinion [spoilers]

[<] [NEXT Quest>>] [Part 3] [NEXT Chapter>>]

First thing first, as in previous post, I want to address a trigger warning for those who don't like comparisons between HYV games. If you easily get angry every time someone compares a character from one game to another character from the other game, please leave this page immediately. I don't want to cause your fury. That's a kindly request from me.

Also, my comparison is mainly between Genshin and HSR, with less focus on HI3 because I'm not an active player of HI3, and I don't know every character from there.

There might also be some spoilers for those who haven't completed the Genshin story up to version 3.7 yet.

Here I want to discuss my experience in the Xianzhou Luofu Trailblazer Quest.

  • After resolving the Stellarone crisis on Jarilo-VI, we moved on to the next location, Xianzhou Luofu.
  • In the meantime... moshi moshi, Kafka desu.
  • Upon our arrival at Xianzhou Luofu, we discovered that the guards were knocked out. We decided to investigate further, while Dan stayed behind at the Express.
  • Once again, we found ourselves in trouble, this time due to Kafka.
  • Finally, when we located her, an intense battle ensued. It took me quite a while to level up my characters since she was a formidable enemy.
  • After defeating Kafka, Fu Xuan, a divination girl who wanted to apprehend Kafka and uncover the reason for her presence, descended.
  • In the meantime, Dan decided to join us but had to go his own way, meeting other people and mainly fighting soldiers.
  • In our next location, we encountered Bailu, who attempted to heal the soldiers that had transformed before her eyes.
  • The next significant element was a tree that bore a resemblance to Irminsul on the inside. I hope it will have importance in the Xianzhou Luofu lore.
  • The Divination Commission's Puzzle was amazing, and the scene that followed was even better. Kafka's smile was revealing, and it was disclosed that she had come for the Trailblazer.
  • Our conversation with Kafka unveiled several things about the world, such as the fact that Aeons can be killed, implying that we will eventually have to defeat Nanook.
  • Then, something happened to the tree, which resulted in Kafka being set free and executing her iconic escape.
  • We continued our journey, engaging in a battle with a deer that may potentially become a new weekly boss for this region.
  • I'm sorry, but I didn't quite understand the ending. It seems like the story was suspended in the middle, similar to the Liyue arc in Genshin Impact.

Regarding your observations:

  • Xianzhou Luofu appears to be based on the China region, similar to Liyue in Genshin Impact.
  • The tree indeed bears a resemblance to Irminsul on the inside.
  • Qingque, Sushang, Tingyun, Jing Yuan, Blade, and Yukong do not remind me of anyone at the moment, although I have seen Sushang in Honkai Impact 3rd.
  • Luocha gives me a Diluc vibe.
  • Bailu is reminiscent of Qiqi, as they are both short, 5-star characters who specialize in healing.
  • Yanqing resembles Mika. Seeing him with Blade gives me the feeling that Blade might be the equivalent of Varka in Genshin Impact.
  • And then there's Fu Xuan, who reminds me of Mona.

That's all I have to share about the Xianzhou Luofu 1.0 Trailblazer Quest. I'll be waiting for the next part as well!
