[Guide] Part 4: All 20 Sea of Clouds Precious Chests

Hi Travelers,

This is part 4 of my precious chest series.

I hope you will find this helpful. If there are any chests I have missed, please let me know and I will credit you with the find and update the guide.

Note: The blue arrows indicate the chests are part of a quest line

1. Light both anemo totems

2. Light geo totems starting from the outside of the spiral to the middle. Then defeat eye of the storm.

3. Defeat Ruin Guard

4. Find buried chest by climbing the mountain. There is a hint for this chest at Wangshu Inn.

5. Defeat mitachurl

6. Defeat camp

7. Complete time trial in cavern under Mt. Tianheng by defeating hydro and pyro abyss mage in 120s

8. Complete the light puzzle and a chest will spawn. You will have to unlock a gate to access the light crystals.

9. Complete Time Trial behind waterfall.

10. Glide down from the teleporter and the chest will be visible.

11. Located on second floor of Northland Bank

12. Found in the rafters of Liyue Harbor

13. Found on the lower floor of the south crane tower in Liyue Harbor

14. Break rock pillar to spawn chest

15. Defeat hilichurl camp

16. Defeat camp

17. Time Trial: Defeat Lawachurl in 45s

18. Defeat 3 Abyss Mages and climb upwards to find chest

19. Initiate Ruins Treasure Quest by interacting with monument.

I have seen several people post about not being able to interact with a monument after completing

one of the trials and returning later. Therefore, I suggest trying to complete this quest in one sitting.

First Challenge is a time trial.

Second challenge is to defeat mobs.

The rewards for the second challenge is an exquisite chest. The third challenge is to defeat Lawachurl within a time limit. The reward is a precious chest.

20. After completing the ruins treasure quest, you can return to this spot later and a ruin hunter will spawn along with a precious chest.

Note: With the release of 1.4, this chest respawned for some players. I got this chest from my main account and it did no respawn for me. However, on my alt account, I had a bug so that I wasn't able to obtain this chest before 1.4 After 1.4, I was able to obtain it on my alt account. Nevertheless, I have heard from some players that they were able to obtain this chest twice. If that is so, then the maximum number of precious chests could actually be 295, but I have not seen anyone with 295 precious chests yet in their battle chronicle.
