BUDGET ARATAKI ITTO GUIDE
SUMMARY
Arataki Itto is a 5-Star Claymore DPS character who mainly deals damage through his special Charged Attacks (Arataki Kesagiri). He typically prefers Mono Geo team comps and loves teaming up with Gorou!
TALENT & ASCENSION MATERIALS
Itto leveled to 80/90 due to his Ascension Stat (CRIT Rate %).
From there, you can choose to level him up to 90 for maximum Base DEF

Artifact Sets
- 4pc Husk of Opulent Dreams is his best Artifact set since it increases both his DEF and Geo DMG Bonus %
- If you are still farming for this set, you can equip a 2pc Set Mix between: Husk of Opulent Dreams (DEF %), Marechaussee Hunter (increased Charged Attack DMG), and Archaic Petra (Geo DMG Bonus)
Main Stat & Substats
- He is built like a standard DPS character, but prefers DEF % Sands over ATK % Sands !
- Itto also likes to build some ER
WEAPON OPTIONS
- Serpent Spine - Battle Pass weapon that provides CRIT Rate substat and a Passive that increases DMG dealt
- Blackcliff Slasher - Shop weapon with CRIT DMG substat but doesn't have a beneficial Passive for Itto. This would only be a stat stick for him
- Whiteblind - Craftable weapon with DEF % substat. Passive will further increase his DEF % as well and is a great F2P option for Itto!
- White Iron Greatsword - the only other DEF % Claymore in the game currently, but isn't recommended over Whiteblind
- Skyward Pride - Standard weapon with ER substat. Recommended if you're struggling to get Itto's Burst back
TEAM COMPS
- Itto teams are generally Mono Geo and Gorou is a must-have to buff him in these teams
- The 3rd slot in this team is typically another Geo character:
- Zhongli can be chosen for his strong Shield
- Albedo or the newly released Chiori for off-field Geo DMG
- Geo Traveler can also work to battery Itto if you have none of the other Geo characters listed above
- The last character on this team is typically a Flex slot:
- If you don't have Zhongli on this team, a Shielder is preferred for the Geo Resonance buff
- Off-field applicators like Fischl, Yelan, Xingqiu, etc. for extra DPS or to create Crystallize shards
- Bennett can be used to Support the team as well with his buffing/healing, but he may find more value in other teams
Notes:
- Weapon options in my budget guides exclude weapons that are only obtainable from the limited (weapon) banner.
- With the addition of Chronicle Wish, this means some Weapon Banner exclusive weapons were added to Chronicle Wish as well, but these weapons are still considered "limited" for the purposes of these guides
- The rationale behind this is that the Chronicle Wish banner has the same duration as a normal banner and uses precious Intertwined Fates.
- This makes the Budget Guide friendlier to newer players, F2Ps, and low spenders.
- Materials for ascending the character to level 80/90 (for additional CRIT Rate) & talent levels 8 / 8 / 8
- In terms of purple XP books alone, you'd be saving 172 XP books (419 to 90/90 compared to 247 to 80/80). That's enough XP books to level up a different character to level 70! This aspect of the Budget Guides is friendly to players who may have less resources.
- It also potentially frees up resin that may be spent on leylines to farm artifacts instead
