BUDGET BAIZHU GUIDE
SUMMARY
Baizhu is a 5-Star Catalyst Support character who can provide healing, minor shielding, and Dendro application! His A4 Passive also provides buffs for the team's Dendro-Reaction related DMG based on his Max HP.

You can also level him up further to make it easier to reach 50k HP to take full advantage of his A4 Passive!

ARTIFACTS
Artifact Sets
- In Dendro-Reaction teams, he can hold 4pc Deepwood Memories (if no one else is holding it) to lower enemies' Dendro RES
- If someone else has the above set equipped already, Baizhu can alternatively use 4pc Instructor to boost the team's EM or 4pc Noblesse Oblige if the team prefers an ATK % buff.
- 4pc Ocean Hued Clam - An option that will deal some extra DMG thanks to the 4pc Passive, but isn't as great as the Artifact Sets mentioned above
- He can also use a 2pc Set Mix: 2pc HP % / 2pc Emblem (for ER)
- 4pc Song of Days Past is a more recent Artifact Set that can increase the DMG Dealt for 5 instances. It works in single-target situations, but is not recommended over Clam
Main Stat & Substats
- ER Sands is highly recommended to meet Baizhu's Energy needs - His Burst is needed to activate his A4 Passive. However, if you can Burst comfortably, you can switch to an HP % Sands
- Also focus on HP % to maximize said A4 Passive
- For his Circlet, HP % is the general stat to look for. With Furina specifically, Healing Bonus is not bad either! If using Favonius Codex, you can switch to a CRIT Rate Circlet
WEAPON OPTIONS
- Prototype Amber - Most ideal F2P option! 4-Star Craftable weapon with HP substat and Passive that helps him get his Energy back
- Favonius Codex - ER % weapon that helps with Baizhu's own ER and can provide the team with Energy too
- Hakushin Ring - Another Craftable 4-Star weapon, but this one has an ER substat and is better in comps where Electro Reactions are involved (aka not for Bloom or Burgeon teams). Have to be on-field for a bit to activate the Passive
- TTDS (Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers) - Completely F2P and Beginner Friendly 3-Star weapon option with HP % substat and a Passive that can increase a character's ATK %
- Sacrificial Fragments provides ER substat. This weapon works specifically in Nilou Bloom teams where Baizhu may cause some Blooms
TEAM COMPS
- Hyperbloom / Burgeon
- Electro for Hyperbloom: Shinobu / Raiden Shogun / Cyno
- Pyro for Burgeon: Thoma, Dehya, Yanfei, Xiangling
- Hydro: Xingqiu, Yelan, Ayato, Furina, Neuvillette (can slot in 2nd Hydro instead of 2nd Dendro character)
- 2nd Dendro character: Alhaitham, Tighnari, Nahida, Collei, Dendro Traveler
- Quicken (Spread/Aggravate) - Electro or Dendro DPS / Electro / Flex
- Electro DPS: Raiden Shogun, Keqing, Yae Miko, Cyno,
- Dendro DPS: Alhaitham, Tighnari, Nahida, Dendro Traveler
- Electro Support: Fischl, Beidou, Lisa, Kujou ****
- *lex: Anemo VV / Grouper, a 2nd Electro character, or Furina for her buffs
- Please note that Baizhu is better off in a different Dendro reaction team thanks to his A4 Passive, but he is still usable!!
- Nilou Bloom - Nilou / Hydro / Dendro
- Hydro: Ayato, Xingqiu, Yelan, Tartaglia, Neuvillette, Barbara/Kokomi (built with EM), Candace
- Dendro: Dendro Traveler, Nahida, Collei, Kaveh, Yaoyao, Alhaitham
- He can also be used with Lyney in his Mono Pyro team as he loves having Pyro aura on the enemy. Baizhu can also provide some shield/heals for the team
- Lastly, Baizhu can work as the Healer with Furina in almost any team that would enjoys Furina's buffs/Hydro application and the Resistance to Interruption and healing he provides.
Notes:
- Weapon options in my budget guides exclude weapons that are only obtainable from the limited (weapon) banner.
- With the addition of Chronicled Wish, this means some Weapon Banner exclusive weapons were added to Chronicle Wishd as well, but these weapons are still considered "limited" for the purposes of these guides
- The rationale behind this is that the Chronicled Wish banner has the same duration as a normal banner and uses precious Intertwined Fates.
- This makes the Budget Guide friendlier to newer players, F2Ps, and low spenders.
- Materials for ascending the character to level 80/80) & talent levels 1 / 8 / 8
- In terms of purple XP books alone, you'd be saving 172 XP books (419 to 90/90 compared to 247 to 80/80). That's enough XP books to level up a different character to level 70! This aspect of the Budget Guides is friendly to players who may have less resources.
- It also potentially frees up resin that may be spent on leylines to farm artifacts instead
