BUDGET WANDERER GUIDE
SUMMARY
The Wanderer is a 5-Star Anemo DPS character whose kit revolves around hovering/flying in the air and using Normal and Charged Attacks. His favorite teammate/partner is Faruzan, particularly at C6, but otherwise his teammates are quite flexible

Artifact Sets
- 4pc Desert Pavilion Chronicle was essentially made for Wanderer and is his BIS Artifact Set
- You can also opt for 4pc Shimenawa's Reminiscence if you don't mind not using his Burst. This option is not recommended if you have his C2
- Flexible 2pc Set Mix between +15% Anemo DMG and +18% ATK sets
- 4pc Echoes of an Offering is also viable, but less preferred (Ping set)
Main Stat & Substats
- Mainly focus on building CRIT and ATK % on the substats of your Artifact pieces
- Don't really need to build ER on him. But his Burst gains a lot of value if you have C2, so you should build some if you have that Constellation!
WEAPON OPTIONS
- ATK % Weapons are not preferred over CRIT Weapons when you have buffers like Bennett on the team already
- Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds - 5-Star Standard Weapon with CRIT Rate substat and a Passive that increases Elemental DMG Bonus!
- Skyward Atlas - 5-Star Standard Weapon with nice ATK % substat. Its Passive can also increase Elemental DMG Bonus and NAs can deal a bit of extra damage as well. Not preferred as much when
- The Widsith - CRIT DMG Substat and a Passive that he likes well enough
- Ballad of the Boundless Blue - Limited time Event weapon with Passive that increases NA/CA DMG
- Solar Pearl - Battle Pass Weapon Option with CRIT Rate substat
- Dodoco Tales - Limited time Event weapon that can buff Charged Attacks
- Flowing Purity - Craftable option that can be used if you have a healer on the team. This ATK % Weapon can grant Elemental DMG Bonus
- Blackcliff Agate (Starglitter Weapon, CRIT DMG stat stick), Eye of Perception (ATK % Weapon that deals a bit of extra DMG)
- Mappa Mare & Frostbearer - Provided as Craftable weapon options if you have no others!
TEAM COMPS
- Generally his teammates will focus on supporting him by either buffing Wanderer directly, providing off-field DPS, or by giving him with a shield so he is not interrupted while in the Windfavored State (WFS in my infographics)
- Can also slot in another character based on Elemental Resonance / what is preferred for his A1 Passive buff
- Faruzan (especially at C6) is his most preferred teammate if you have her. If you don't, Wanderer also likes to be paired with Bennett! Another note: Both can be used in the same team for a Hypercarry Wanderer comp
- Shielder Options: Zhongli, Thoma, Layla, Diona. Dehya/Xingqiu can also be used since they provide Resistance to Interruption
- Off-Field DPS: Xiangling, Fischl, Yelan, Beidou, Xingqiu, Rosaria
- Faruzan + Bennett + Flex:
- Flex can be: A Shielder, Off-field DPS
- 3rd Anemo character (Venti, Kazuha, Sucrose for grouping. Jean works if you have her C2, which increases ATK SPD)
- Yun Jin is also viable thanks to her NA DMG buffing
- Faruzan + Double Flex
- Double Pyro - Bennett / Xiangling
- Double Cryo - Rosaria + Layla or Diona
- Double Hydro - Xingqiu / Yelan
- Double Geo - Zhongli + Albedo or Chiori. Switch Faruzan with Bennett or Fischl for Crystallize Shards
- Freeze - Mona, Kokomi, Xingqiu, or Yelan / Rosaria or Layla
- Furina - Can be used to buff Wanderer, but the current team-wide healer options don't really benefit him much
- Mika can grant ATK SPD buffs, which is good. Jean can be used but doesn't really benefit Wanderer specifically until C2 or C4. Barbara, Charlotte. Baizhu & Xianyun can be used but their kits wouldn't be fully utilized.
Notes:
- Weapon options in my budget guides exclude weapons that are only obtainable from the weapon banner.
- This makes the Budget Guide friendlier to newer players, F2Ps, and low spenders.
- Materials for ascending the character to level 80/90 (for additional CRIT Rate) & talent levels 8 / 8 / 8
- In terms of purple XP books alone, you'd be saving 172 XP books (419 to 90/90 compared to 247 to 80/80). That's enough XP books to level up a different character to level 70! This aspect of the Budget Guides is friendly to players who may have less resources.
- It also potentially frees up resin that may be spent on leylines to farm artifacts instead
