BUDGET MUALANI GUIDE
SUMMARY
Mualani is a 5-Star Catalyst DPS character who can deal significant Hydro DMG and is especially great in single-target situations (although she can handle a few extra enemies as well). She likes to Vaporize her hits so having off-field Pyro application is valuable in her teams

Artifact Sets
- The new 5-Star Artifact Set, Obsidian Codex, is Mualani's best Artifact Set. It can give her +15% DMG Dealt and +40% CRIT Rate, so make sure you don't build too much CRIT Rate on her
- While farming for this set, you can temporarily use 4pc Heart of Depth or a 2pc Set Mix between Hydro DMG / HP / EM
Main Stat & Substats
- In most cases, Mualani will likely use an HP Sands. An EM Sands can also work since she typically deals Vaporize DMG
- If you are using a CRIT DMG Weapon, you can consider an HP Circlet
WEAPON OPTIONS
- Ring of Yaxche - New Natlan Craftable weapon that is likely her best F2P weapon. It provides HP % substat and its passive increases her NA DMG based on her Max HP. Keep in mind that you also should have obtained a free copy of the weapon by participating in the web event!
- The Widsith - CRIT DMG Weapon with potential buffs through its passive, but keep in mind that Mualani will not take advantage if it gives an ATK buff
- Sacrificial Jade - Battle Pass Weapon that provides CRIT Rate (so make sure you don't build too much CRIT Rate). Passive also gives her HP % and EM, stats that Mualani will appreciate
- Prototype Amber - Another Craftable Weapon option, but is not as good as Ring of Yaxche.
TEAM COMPS
- Pyro Options are fairly limited, but Xiangling and Dehya are the main off-field options. Thoma and Xinyan can also be used since they can provide a shield as well
- Dendro - Great in the team as Burning can enable Mualani to Vaporize too!
- Emilie is a great Sub-DPS character, Nahida can buff Mualani's EM, while Kirara/Baizhu can provide shields/heals
- Flex:
- Anemo VV
- Zhongli can be your shielder. You can also opt for Double Geo (Zhongli, Chiori, Albedo, Kachina)
- Kachina - Can act as a Support character by holding the other new Artifact Set, Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City - This set buffs Elemental DMG Bonus for the team
- Hydro character for Hydro Resonance can also be considered, but if this is the case, Xiangling must be used as the Pyro unit! You can consider Furina/Candace/Mona for their buffs!
Notes:
- Weapon options in my budget guides exclude weapons that are only obtainable from the limited (weapon) banner.
- With the addition of Chronicled Wish, this means some Weapon Banner exclusive weapons were added to Chronicle Wishd as well, but these weapons are still considered "limited" for the purposes of these guides
- The rationale behind this is that the Chronicled Wish banner has the same duration as a normal banner and uses precious Intertwined Fates.
- This makes the Budget Guide friendlier to newer players, F2Ps, and low spenders.
- Materials for ascending the character to level 90/90 & talent levels 1 / 8 / 8
- It potentially frees up resin that may be spent on leylines to farm artifacts instead
