Artifact Sets
- 4pc Marechaussee Hunter is Lyney's BIS Set since it increases his CA DMG and gives him CRIT Rate
- 4pc Lavawalker's is also a good set choice since he typically prefers Mono Pyro teams
- Conditional Sets can work if you play to activate the Passive, but the ^ above options may be more consistent: 4pc Vermillion Hereafter is decent if you plan on Bursting often, 4pc Shimenawa's works if you don't plan on Bursting often.
Main Stat & Substats
- Lyney is looking for the typical Main Stats that DPS characters enjoy
- With 4pc Marechaussee Hunter, CRIT DMG Circlet is preferred due to how much CRIT Rate the Passive provides
WEAPON OPTIONS
- CRIT Weapons
- Skyward Harp - Has CRIT Rate substat and CRIT DMG Passive. Generally well-appreciated by DPS Bow users!
- Scion of the Blazing Sun - Battle Pass Weapon with CRIT Rate substat. Passive increases Charged Attack DMG
- Blackcliff Warbow - CRIT DMG stat stick. Passive isn't amazing for Lyney since he mainly deals Single-Target damage
- ATK % Weapons
- Amos Bow - Passive that can increase CA DMG
- Song of Stillness - Craftable Weapon with Passive that increases Lyney's DMG after getting healed
- Prototype Crescent - Craftable option. Passive can increase ATK %, conditional on hitting enemies' weak points
- Beginner Options
- Messenger and Sharpshooter's Oath - 3-Star CRIT DMG Stat sticks if you don't have any of the above options available! Messenger's Passive is a bit more useful, Sharpshooter's Oath provides a higher CRIT DMG substat
- Raven Bow - 3-Star Bow option with a Passive that increases DMG against enemies affected by Pyro
TEAM COMPS
His A4 Passive Talent makes Mono Pyro teams (3 Pyro, 1 Flex) most ideal for Lyney
- Bennett is a great partner for Lyney and is preferred in most teams
- Alternatively, Chevreuse can be used instead of Bennett (or with, if you like) to create an Overloaded team given her unique abilities, with a third Pyro character and 1 Electro applicator such as Fischl
- Preferably there should be a third Pyro character on the team to maximize his A4 Passive:
- Xiangling for off-field DPS, Yanfei C4 (Shieldfei) and Dehya can work as defensive options for Lyney
- Flex slot (any element)
- Anemo VV holders - Kazuha, Venti, Sucrose, Heizou
- Xilonen, Furina for buffs
- Emilie, Chiori or other off-field DPS options
- Other Shielders
- Zhongli - Always a great Shielder option thanks to his RES Shred, but (similar to Bennett) is highly desired in teams. He can also be paired with Albedo or Chiori for Geo Resonance!
- Kirara, Layla, Diona
Notes:
- Weapon options in my budget guides exclude weapons that are only obtainable from the limited (weapon) banner.
- With the addition of Chronicled Wish, this means some Weapon Banner exclusive weapons were added to Chronicle Wish as well, but these weapons are still considered "limited" for the purposes of these guides
- The rationale behind this is that the Chronicled Wish banner has the same duration as a normal banner and uses precious Intertwined Fates.
- This makes the Budget Guide friendlier to newer players, F2Ps, and low spenders.
- Materials for ascending the character to level 80/90 (for additional CRIT Rate) & talent levels 8 / 8 / 8
- In terms of purple XP books alone, you'd be saving 172 XP books (419 to 90/90 compared to 247 to 80/80). That's enough XP books to level up a different character to level 70! This aspect of the Budget Guides is friendly to players who may have less resources.
- It also potentially frees up resin that may be spent on leylines to farm artifacts instead
