BUDGET SHENHE GUIDE
SUMMARY
Shenhe is a 5-Star Polearm Support character who is mainly used to buff Cryo DMG of your Cryo DPS characters through her Skill/A1 Passive. Her entire kit is best suited for Cryo DPS characters, but she can also provide other buffs.
Her Burst lowers Cryo and Physical RES, while her A4 Passive increases Skill, Burst, and NA/CA/Plunge DMG.

Leveled to 80/90 for additional ATK % / Base ATK as this will increase her Skill’s buffs

Artifact Sets
- 4pc Noblesse Oblige is a great set if no one else on the team is holding it. If someone already has Noblesse, Shenhe can use 4pc Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City to increase Elemental DMG Bonus, but it is more optimal on a Natlan character
- 2pc ATK sets are good too, it gives extra ATK that the Icy Quills would use to buff your DPS
- 4pc Blizzard Strayer is an option for Shenhe's personal DMG
Main Stat & Substats
- ATK % are the main pieces you are looking for to maximize buffing potential. If you want her to deal some personal damage, consider a Cryo Goblet and CRIT Circlet
- ER Sands is an option if you are running an ATK % weapon instead of an ER weapon
- Relatively easy to build as Shenhe only needs CRIT if she's using Favonius Lance
WEAPON OPTIONS
Shenhe is fairly flexible with her weapon choice, but prefers those with high Base ATK and ER
- Skyward Spine - High Base ATK, middle ER substat
- Primordial Jade Winged-Spear - 5-Star weapon with high Base ATK. Provides CRIT Rate and ATK %
- Prototype Starglitter/The Catch - F2P weapons with high ER substats
- Favonius Lance - Has the lowest Base ATK and ER substats of these options, but can offer great utility by batterying teammates
- Tamayuratei no Ohanashi - Event weapon with same stats as Favonius Lance, but its Passive provides ATK %
- Missive Windspear - Event weapon that provides ATK % through both its Passive and substat. Can only work if you have enough ER through Artifacts alone.
TEAM COMPS
- Shenhe is best when paired with a Cryo DPS character. She is often slotted into Mono Cryo and Freeze teams
- She can also be paired with Physical DPS' as her Burst has some Physical RES shred
- Shenhe also works well with Neuvillette and Chasca - they like the CA DMG buff that Shenhe provides
- Furina / Escoffier / Shenhe currently work really well together to buff a Cryo DPS character like Ayaka / Skirk!
Notes:
- Weapon options in my budget guides exclude weapons that are only obtainable from the limited (weapon) banner.
- With the addition of Chronicled Wish, this means some Weapon Banner exclusive weapons were added to Chronicle Wish as well, but these weapons are still considered "limited" for the purposes of these guides
- The rationale behind this is that the Chronicled Wish banner has the same duration as a normal banner and uses precious Intertwined Fates.
- This makes the Budget Guide friendlier to newer players, F2Ps, and low spenders.
- Materials for ascending the character to level 80/90 (for additional ATK %/Base ATK) & talent levels 1 / 8 / 8
- In terms of purple XP books alone, you'd be saving 172 XP books (419 to 90/90 compared to 247 to 80/80). That's enough XP books to level up a different character to level 70! This aspect of the Budget Guides is friendly to players who may have less resources.
- It also potentially frees up resin that may be spent on leylines to farm artifacts instead
