BUDGET KUKI SHINOBU GUIDE
SUMMARY
4-Star Sword Support character who primarily acts as off-field Electro (using her Skill) in Hyperbloom teams since she is a healer and her kit incentivizes building her with EM! She can also be used as a pure Supportive healer or enable Aggravate/Spread in Quicken teams

Artifact Sets
- Hyperbloom - As the Electro unit causing this reaction, prioritize building EM on Kuki Shinobu to get the most Hyperbloom DMG you can
- 4pc Gilded Dreams and 4pc Flower of Paradise Lost are great sets in this type of team - While 4pc FoPL is "better" for her Hyperbloom DMG and available through the Strongbox, 4pc Gilded is more resin-efficient to farm!
- You can also go with two 2pc +80 EM sets for an easier build
- Support
- 4pc Tenacity of the Millelith which gives her HP % and an ATK buff for the party. This set works great with ATK scaling characters and her C2, which allows Shinobu to have 100% Skill uptime!
- 4pc Deepwood Memories can also work as a Support set to provide Dendro RES Shred if she is used in a Dendro team comp and no one else is holding this set
- 4pc Instructors is a great 4 Star Set that gives EM to herself as well as her team
- 4pc Scroll of Cinder City can work to give the team some Elemental DMG Bonus, but requires a Natlan teammate and cannot take full advantage of this set compared to a Natlan Support character
Main Stat & Substats
- Triple EM if you are using Shinobu to cause Hyperblooms
- HP % / Healing Bonus Main Stats preferred if you want to focus on her healing rather than her Reaction DMG
- She is easier to build since she doesn't require any CRIT (unless she uses Favonius Sword)
- In Quicken teams, you can use an Electro Goblet and CRIT Circlet if you want to increase her personal damage or stick with a Triple EM build for flexibility
WEAPON OPTIONS
- EM Weapon options are really great for Hyperbloom Shinobu like Iron Sting (Craftable) and Toukabou Shigure (Event). There is also Dark Iron Sword (3-Star), but most players likely scrapped it by accident and you can only get two copies of this, unfortunately
- Energy Recharge weapons can be good in non-Hyperbloom teams since she does not rely as heavily on EM
- Serenity's Call - New Craftable weapon, Passive increases Max HP. Solid option for her Support/Healer focused build.
- Sapwood Blade - Craftable weapon, Passive gives an EM buff for the active character after triggering a Dendro Reaction
- Favonius Sword, Festering Desire, Skyward Blade
TEAM COMPS
Hyperbloom - Hydro / Dendro / Flex or another Electro
- Hydro: Xingqiu, Yelan, Ayato, Neuvillette, Furina
- Dendro: Nahida, Lauma, Collei, Dendro Traveler
- Flex: Anemo VV, second Hydro/Dendro, or another off-field Electro: Ineffa, Fischl, Yae Miko, Ororon, etc.
- Cyno / Clorinde can work for Quickbloom
Aggravate / Spread - Dendro / 2nd Electro or Dendro character / Flex
- On-Field DPS: Alhaitham, Raiden, Keqing, Cyno, Tighnari, Clorinde, Sethos
- Flex: Zhongli, Xilonen, Anemo VV, or other suitable buffers
Shinobu can alternatively slot in as a healer for any team that would benefit from her off-field Electro application/healing!
Notes:
- Weapon options in my budget guides exclude weapons that are only obtainable from the limited (weapon) banner.
- With the addition of Chronicled Wish, this means some Weapon Banner exclusive weapons were added to Chronicle Wish as well, but these weapons are still considered "limited" for the purposes of these guides
- The rationale behind this is that the Chronicled Wish banner has the same duration as a normal banner and uses precious Intertwined Fates.
- This makes the Budget Guide friendlier to newer players, F2Ps, and low spenders.
- Materials for ascending the character to level 90/90 (for maximum Hyperbloom DMG) & talent levels 1 / 8 / 1
- Potentially frees up resin that may be spent on talent domains to farm artifacts instead
