BUDGET NEUVILLETTE GUIDE
Neuvillette is a 5-Star Catalyst DPS character who deals a ton of damage through his special CA and is capable of both draining and healing his own HP. He is rather flexible and works great in various Team Comps with Hydro-related Elemental Reactions!
WEAPON OPTIONS
ARTIFACTS
Building a bit of ER is crucial as Neuvillette's Burst provides Sourcewater Droplets for healing and faster CA charge time. How much ER is needed on Neuvillette will depend on the team (or if you use Prototype Amber).

TEAM COMPS
Due to Neuvillette's A1 Passive, he prefers having teammates that can cause Hydro-related reactions, preferably off-fielders. He also prefers having a shielder/some form of Resistance to Interruption, so please consider putting one on the team for him! Defensive options other than Zhongli include: Ineffa, Citlali, Layla, Diona, Baizhu, Kirara, Lan Yan, Dehya, Thoma, or C4 Yanfei
You can also consider pairing Zhongli with Albedo/Chiori for Geo Resonance!
- Hyperbloom
- Off-field Dendro: Lauma, Nahida, Dendro Traveler, Collei
- Off-field Electro: Ineffa, Raiden Shogun, Kuki Shinobu
- Flex: Zhongli/Layla, Fischl/Yae Miko/Beidou, Furina, or another Dendro character (Baizhu, Yaoyao, or Kirara)
- Electro-Charged - Electro / Electro or Hydro / Flex
- Electro: Ororon, Fischl, Yae Miko, Beidou, Lisa
- Flex: Anemo VV holder, buffers like Xilonen/Furina/Kachina, or a shielder
- Second Hydro: Aino, Furina, Yelan, Mona, Kokomi for Hydro Resonance buff
- Lunar-Charged using Ineffa/Columbina
- Vaporize - Pyro / Pyro or Emilie / Flex
- Pyro: Mavuika, Xiangling, Durin, Dehya, Bennett, Thoma, C4 Yanfei
- Dendro if Burnvape: Emilie, Nahida, Kirara
- Flex can be a Shielder, buffer, off-fielder
- Hypercarry Neuvillette - Xilonen or Kazuha/Anemo VV holder / 1 Shielder / Off-field DPS or buffer (such as Fischl, Yae Miko, Furina, Mona, Ororon, Chiori, Albedo)
- Nilou or Lunar-Bloom - Hydro Off-fielder + Choose two Dendro characters between
- Lauma, Nahida, Dendro Traveler, Collei
- Baizhu, Yaoyao, Kirara for Shield/Heals, or another one of the above
- Freeze - off-field Cryo applicators / Flex / Flex
- Off-field Cryo: Escoffier, Citlali, Burst Ganyu, Rosaria, Shenhe, Diona, Layla, Charlotte
- Flex: Can either slot in a 2nd Hydro / Cryo character or another Support like: Xilonen, Kachina, Zhongli, Anemo VV, Furina. With Escoffier, a Hydro/Cryo only team is required.
TALENT & ASCENSION MATERIALS
Neuvillette leveled to 90/90 to maximize his personal DMG. His Skill/Burst don't deal as much damage as his CAs, so these were left at Lv 6 while his NA talent was upgraded to Lv 9, but the cost of 9/6/6 is actually a bit less than leveling his talents to 8/8/8!
Notes:
- Weapon options in my budget guides exclude weapons that are only obtainable from the limited (weapon) banner.
- With the addition of Chronicled Wish, this means some Weapon Banner exclusive weapons were added to Chronicle Wish as well, but these weapons are still considered "limited" for the purposes of these guides
- The rationale behind this is that the Chronicled Wish banner has the same duration as a normal banner and uses precious Intertwined Fates.
- This makes the Budget Guide friendlier to newer players, F2Ps, and low spenders.
- Materials for ascending the character to level 90/90 (for additional CRIT DMG and Max HP) & talent levels 9 / 6 / 6
- Potentially frees up resin that may be spent on talent domains to farm artifacts instead
These are the concepts behind the Budget Guides and I hope it can help some of you!
